Sun Xiaoya's belly gradually grew bigger, but she kept it a secret from her family. As she realized she couldn't hide it any longer, her appetite increased and her belly grew larger. Sun Xiaoya's mother noticed something was wrong with her daughter and directly pulled open her clothes, only then did she see Sun Xiaoya's pregnant belly.
Sun Xiaoya's mother, Chen Lan, was shocked. "How long have you been pregnant? When did this happen? Why didn't you tell your mother?"
Sun Xiaoya lowered her head guiltily, "I'm sorry, Mom, I've embarrassed you by getting pregnant out of wedlock. But I really love him, I want to have his child, I really can't help it."

Chen Lan broke down in tears, saying, "Xiaoya, we're respectable people! How could you do something like this and hurt everyone's feelings? Li Zhou has always been so good to you, always doting on you since you were little. I've seen it all. He went abroad to settle down before coming back for you, but you did something to betray him in China. Li Zhou will go crazy!"
Sun Xiaoya wiped away her tears, "Mom, he'll go crazy if I don't stay with him? Then I'll go crazy if I don't stay with Zhao Hanqiao! I really love him! I really like him!"
Chen Lan could no longer hold back and slapped Sun Xiaoya across the face.
"You keep saying 'I love you,' have you no shame? Our family and the Li family have such a good relationship, and Li Zhou likes you so much, yet you treat him like this! If word gets out, how can I ever face anyone!"
Chen Lan thought the best solution was to have Sun Xiaoya abort the child.
"This child can't be born! It will make our family a laughing stock, and Li Zhou will go crazy!"
Sun Xiaoya, with tears in her eyes, stepped back. "Mom, the child is so big. Aborting the child is very dangerous. Besides, I really love Zhao Hanqiao, and he's very good to me. Why can't we be together? Li Zhou is an outsider. Are you going to abandon your own daughter for an outsider?"
Chen Lan was frantic. "Why can't you understand me? What has Li Zhou done wrong to you? He's such a proud kid, so many people at school like him, but he only likes you. I think you've been spoiled by him, that's why you're so unrestrained and arrogant!"
Perhaps, Sun Xiaoya felt that Li Zhou would never leave her, which is why she hurt him like this.

Sun Xiaoya felt sad as she listened to her mother's crying, but she and Zhao Hanqiao were truly in love, so why couldn't she be with Zhao Hanqiao?
