Li Zhou was furious. He didn't actually need hot water to take a shower; a cold shower would have been enough. He didn't know why, but he took a long cold shower today.
After Li Zhou came out, Shen Zhuyu unplugged the water heater.
"Leaving appliances on wastes electricity. Remember to unplug the TV after you're done watching it."
Li Zhou ignored her and picked up her fashion magazine. It was a foreign magazine with lots of outfit ideas. Li Zhou was a meticulous person who liked to wear luxury brands, so he flipped through the magazine and found a few nice clothes, planning to buy them for himself on his next trip abroad.
Li Zhou fell asleep on the sofa. When Shen Zhuyu came out after drying her hair, she saw him like this and took a blanket from the cabinet to cover him.
After she left, Li Zhou smelled the woman's fragrance on the blanket and felt inexplicably irritated.
He thought of Sun Xiaoya.
Actually, although he was saddened by Sun Xiaoya's betrayal, he wasn't as heartbroken as he had expected. Perhaps he had anticipated it; Sun Xiaoya didn't like him, a fact Li Zhou had always known.
If you like someone, you can't be perfunctory.
You can't hide your feelings when you like someone.
Sun Xiaoya never showed any favoritism towards him. Li Zhou never experienced passion or excitement with her; it was always him who was good to her, and she was forced to accept it. Actually, if you think about it, he secretly loved Sun Xiaoya, but Sun Xiaoya didn't necessarily have to reciprocate; she just didn't like him.
Li Zhou was a little irritated, so he turned over, wrapped himself in a blanket, and fell asleep.
The next morning, Chen Zhuyu groggily got up and went to the bathroom to wash up.
"Good morning!" Chen Zhuyu greeted the sofa.
She pushed open the bathroom door and was startled to find someone inside. She woke up abruptly! Only then did she realize that Li Zhou was already up.
Li Zhou was a head taller than her, and Shen Zhuyu wasn't very tall, so she had to look up at him.
This little brat, though young, had quite a strong presence. He looked down at her with a sarcastic tone, clearly mocking Shen Zhuyu for being so much shorter than him.
"You brat, you scared me so early in the morning!" Shen Zhuyu beat him up.
Li Zhou took a deep breath, feeling that he was an innocent victim. He had just gotten up to pee, what had he done to offend her? Look how scared she was!
Shen Zhuyu had to go to work, but Li Zhou didn't. Li Zhou made breakfast, and after Shen Zhuyu left, Li Zhou wanted to take a nap, but he couldn't fall asleep no matter what.
Strangely, it was as if Shen Zhuyu had placed a tight band around him; Li Zhou unconsciously felt the urge to get up, tidy the house, cook, and wait for her to come back.
Shen Zhuyu had a lot of magazines piled on the ground, covered in a layer of dust. Li Zhou wanted to wipe them clean, but as he flipped through them, something seemed off. There was a stack of erotic magazines underneath.
Li Zhou opened it and couldn't help but gasp.
