She was originally very worried about Chu Yu, fearing that Chu Yu would get into a conflict with someone and that if the matter got back to the neighbors, it would be difficult for her and Dai Xueyi.
But she was overthinking it.
"Everyone says she brought Dai Donglin water to wash his feet, but I never noticed that," Zhou Yun wondered.
Dai Xueyi snorted, having already seen through the truth. His good-for-nothing son of his own, his eyes would disappear when he saw his wife. How could he expect such a delicate wife to bring him water to wash his feet?

In the evening, after Chu Yu finished washing up and was about to go to bed, Dai Donglin brought in the foot-washing water.
He squatted down and placed her soft, white feet in the foot bath.
Chu Yu suppressed a laugh, "Commander Dai, what are you doing?"
Dai Donglin curled his lips into a slightly mischievous smile, "Serving my wife by washing her feet."
He not only washed her feet, but his toes kept tickling her sensitive spots. Chu Yu was tickled so badly that she lay on the bed. She had just finished soaking her feet and felt warm all over. Wasn't this just giving Dai Donglin a free ride?
Dai Donglin took off his clothes as quickly as possible and crawled into bed. Chu Yu thought to herself, "Good heavens, I've never seen anyone take off their clothes so fast in my life. It's like lightning. Static electricity is even crackling on my sweater."
That night, Dai Donglin was quite rough with Chu Yu, leaving her sore all over and feeling listless when she woke up the next morning.
She took the quilt outside to air it out. As newlyweds, the quilt was bound to get dirty and smelly. Taking it out to air it out would help it dissipate the odor and make it more comfortable to sleep on at night.
Chu Yu saw Yu Guihua pushing her bicycle from afar. "Sister-in-law Guihua, where are you going?"
Yu Guihua originally wanted to avoid her, but unexpectedly, she had sharp eyes and even greeted her. Yu Guihua had no choice but to stop and said with an awkward smile, "I have something to do outside."
Chu Yu looked at the jar on the back of her bicycle and asked curiously, "Sister-in-law, what's in this jar? Pickled cabbage or soybean paste? Where is it being sent?"
Yu Guihua's expression was off; she only hurriedly said "chili sauce" before leaving.
