Chapter 202 New World

Chapter 202 New World

Scarlett fell into a glacial world.

The surrounding area is covered with clear blue like the sky.

The wall is like the scales of a mermaid, and every scale is glowing.

The light blue ice under my feet gave off a slight chill, but it was not unbearable.

There is a vast expanse of land here, with no one else around, and it is so empty that every tiny sound will be met with a huge echo.

Scarlett didn't dare to act rashly. She stretched out her hand, released her mental power, and used it to explore everything around her.

The transparent and clear spiritual power, like a thread, flies through this unknown world.

After a while, they turned back and took Scarlett deeper into the water.

It took about ten minutes to walk.

Scarlett saw the end of the world.

High walls made of scales and stairs made of ice bricks.

At the top of the stairs stood a magnificent throne.

An orc sat on the throne.

His silver-white hair stretched down to the ground, his stern facial features were indifferent and noble, and his skin was very white, like frost condensed from a long night, without a trace of blood. Just looking at him made one feel cold.

His eyes were half closed, his white eyelashes were thick and dense, with ice beads hanging at the ends, covering his eyes, making it impossible to tell whether he was still awake.

The mermaid was not wearing any clothes. Her upper body was naked and locked with black chains. Her lower body was a huge fish tail, light blue and glowing. It hung casually beside the throne along with her hair.

He appeared in front of Scarlett like this, without any embellishment, but inexplicably made people feel unattainable and awe-inspiring.

Scarlett slowed down, stopped in front of the steps, looked up, and saw the shadows of Sylvia and Tyron in the mermaid's noble features.

His facial features are 80% similar to Sevilla's, and his cold temperament is very close to Terran's.

who is he?

Scarlett felt doubtful.

Perhaps because she was too familiar with the leader, Scarlett forgot the characteristics of the wanted criminal leader and did not think of the mermaid in front of her as a bad person.

Just when Scarlett was not sure whether she should stay or leave.

The mermaid on the throne moved and slowly opened her eyelids.

He looked at Scarlett, his blue eyes slowly moving, his brows moving as if they were not wrinkled, and he said lazily: "Female?"

Scarlett was stunned, feeling like she was caught by the teacher for daydreaming in class.

She nodded slowly, "Yes."

The mermaid raised her elbows to rest on the armrests of the throne, curled her fingers against the side of her cheek, tilted her head, and looked at Scarlett with interest. "Where are you from?"

No one has set foot in this place for many years.

Suddenly a female came and he got a little excited and wanted to have a good chat with her.

He gritted his teeth and put on a friendly face.

Scarlett shook her head blankly, "I don't know."

She really didn't know.

It was that green spiritual power that brought her here.

Grabbing her ankle, he pulled her down.

The environment around her suddenly changed and she came here.

The mermaid smiled and let out a pleasant laugh. The heavenly sound echoed in this empty environment. It had an inexplicable power to bewitch people, and Scarlett's ears softened when she heard it.

He changed his posture and sat on the throne, his expression becoming lazy. He looked at Scarlett again, his eyes fixed on her cheek, his eyes slightly tilted, and he said in a firm tone: "You are not from here."

Scarlett didn't deny it and nodded calmly, "That's right, I'm not from here. I come from a world a hundred years from now, and I'm currently participating in a competition for resources."

Scarlett had a hunch that lying wouldn't work for the person in front of her, so she didn't plan to lie.

The mermaid raised her eyebrows as she listened to her words, and her lazy gaze became serious. "The world a hundred years from now? A competition for resources? Are you from the Oranrosa Empire?"

Scarlett: "Yes."

"Is your mother okay?" the mermaid asked with concern.

Scarlett was slightly surprised.

The mermaid took in her expression and smiled playfully, "You are Katherine's daughter, I know."

Scarlett was even more surprised, but her expression softened a bit as she smiled innocently, "Thank you for your concern, uncle. My mother is fine."

"uncle?"

The smile on the mermaid's face cracked, her brows furrowed, and it was hard to tell whether she was happy or angry.

This female is really good at making connections.

He and Catherine did not have a friendly relationship; they were even enemies.

The mermaid looked at the innocent female in front of her, relaxed her body, and her eyes gradually became sharp. "Your mother probably won't live long. How can she be well? Don't lie to me."

Scarlett was stunned for a moment.

The mermaid observed the surroundings and said nonchalantly, "This place has become a battleground for resources. If nothing unexpected happens, we'll all be dead. Only Catherine can deal with my abilities, but if she wants to deal with me, she'll have to pay a price ten times more painful than me."

The mermaid opened her lips, and a vicious curse emanated from her pale lips. "She will not survive!"

"Impossible! My mother is in good health and will live to be three hundred years old. She will definitely not die young!"

Scarlett retorted sharply.

Although she and Catherine had only been together a few times and were not very close, every time they came into contact, she could feel that beneath Catherine's intimidating appearance was a mother's deep love for her daughter.

She envied and was obsessed with it.

So she would never allow anyone to say anything bad about Catherine.

The mermaid looked at her again.

His gaze lingered on Scarlett's brow for a long time.

It was as if he wanted to see Scarlett's past through those slightly furrowed brows.

suddenly.

His eyelashes trembled, and he saw something different.

He smiled slightly, a sneer on his thin lips, and changed the subject.

He asked, "Is Sevilla your beastly husband?"

Scarlett was stunned, not understanding why the topic suddenly changed. She was still immersed in the emotion of defending her mother and did not leave.

Scarlett rolled her eyes, looked at the mermaid's tail, and blinked, "Yes."

“How is he?” the mermaid asks her.

Scarlett: "Very good."

"very good."

The mermaid pondered the meaning of these words for a while. The smile on his lips faded a little, his eyes drooped, and he seemed to be in a depression.

Scarlett felt that Sylvia must have something to do with the mermaid. She was in an unknown danger now, so perhaps she could use Sylvia's relationship to get close to the mermaid.

then.

She took the initiative to speak, "Uncle, are you and Sevilla friends?"

The mermaid was originally silent, and after hearing these words, she became even more silent.

The corners of his mouth twitched, and his brows furrowed tightly. "Do you think Sevilla and I are friends? Are our ages right? Was he born a hundred years ago?"

Scarlett pursed her lips and said, "Friends regardless of age."

The mermaid closed her eyes. "Scarlett, you don't have to play dumb and try to trick me."

Scarlett opened her eyes and asked, "Uncle, do you know my name?"

The mermaid took a deep breath, feeling a little lost for words. She glanced at Scarlett indifferently and said coldly, "This is my world. I know everything."

Scarlett: "Uncle, do you know where the exit is?"

Mermaid: “…”
