Chapter 25 If I die, I will be a widow for you

Chapter 25 If I die, I will be a widow for you

Chi Ye was burned to ashes by the fireball and was now washing his face by the river.

Fortunately, the machine gun was only level B, so he could use his mental power to resist and avoid being injured. However, it came too suddenly and caught him off guard. He didn't resist immediately, and his skin was burned, leaving his face charred.

Scarlett squatted beside Chiye and reached out to poke the muscles in his arm. They were quite strong, so it shouldn't be an illusion.

Then he looked at Chi Ye washing his face with water.

Even though his three-dimensional facial features were submerged in a patch of mottled black and gray, they were still so outstanding. His knife-like lines made his appearance as meticulously crafted as a sculpture of a god. His black eyes were bright and deep, his nose was straight and tall, and every contour had the most perfect proportions in the world.

It’s worthy of being a fox.

Scarlett thought with a smile.

After washing his face, Chi Ye turned his head to look at Scarlett. Seeing that she was smiling with some malicious eyes, Chi Ye frowned and poked Scarlett's forehead. "Why are you looking at me like that? Are you planning something bad again?"

Chi Ye hated Scarlett staring at him the most. Every time she looked at him like that, he would suffer physical pain.

At the very least, they would scold him and drag him by the tail to weave a flower rope around him without restraint.

Scarlett raised her chin and said openly, "I'm checking to see if you're the real you."

"Am I myself then?"

Chiye turned sideways and faced Scarlett.

Scarlett raised her eyebrows: "Maybe."

"possible?"

Chi Ye sneered and couldn't help but sarcastically said, "Scarlett, you are really amazing. Facing me and Dzeko, you attacked without hesitation. If you don't know, you would think we are enemies."

Scarlett was completely undeterred, and her words were a bit venomous: "I'm saying it's important to be on guard against others. Besides, you're all high-ranking males. What's the big deal if you get shot? You won't die. If you do die, I'll be a widow for you."

Props also have different levels, just like the orcs' mental power levels, but their power is slightly lower than that of orcs of the same level.

The few self-defense weapons Scarlett bought were all B-level, and they were very useful in killing monsters in low-level areas. Even if she accidentally injured her beastly husband, it would not be fatal, and at most she would suffer some minor injuries.

Coupled with the orcs' self-healing ability, they are essentially unharmed.

Scarlett came here fully prepared.

Widowed?

Chi Ye chuckled twice and didn't intend to take it to heart. To him, Scarlett was vicious, cunning, and black-hearted, so anything she did was not surprising.

After washing his face, he wiped off the water droplets on his face. When he looked up, he saw a tissue being handed to him.

He looked up from the hand holding the paper in surprise.

Scarlett met his gaze and said frankly, "I'll wipe your face."

Chi Ye was stunned, a strange wave rose in his heart, and his thick eyebrows wrinkled for no reason.

He didn't answer and just got up and left.

Scarlett stood up and walked behind him, stuffing the tissue back into the space.

Never mind.

Chi Ye knew that Scarlett was following him. He didn't know what he was thinking. He blinked a few times and suddenly stopped and looked back.

Scarlett was completely focused, without any distractions.

He stopped.

She stopped too.

Their eyes met, and they were all stunned for a moment.

"What?" Scarlett asked.

Chiye frowned again, his brows fluctuating just like his current mood. He reached out to Scarlett: "Give me the thing."

Scarlett was stunned for two seconds.

Chiye said impatiently: "Paper."

Hearing this.

Scarlett reacted quickly and said "Oh" lightly, as if she could see through his inner thoughts, with the ending tone light and mischievous.

Chi Ye felt a little uncomfortable, his ears seemed to be burning. Seeing Scarlett take out the tissue again, he snatched it away, turned around quickly, and walked forward as if nothing had happened.

His steps were not as firm as before, and even seemed a little messy.

Scarlett saw all this and complained silently.

A fox who says one thing but does another.

The two of them walked forward in silence, the atmosphere was a bit dull, Chi Ye didn't like it very much, thinking back to Scarlett's behavior before, he asked suddenly: "Are you not angry anymore?"

He regretted it after asking.

What is he doing? Is he concerned about Scarlett's attitude towards him?

Or tell Scarlett that you are paying attention to her emotions?

Chiye was fooled by his own stupidity.

Without waiting for Scarlett's answer, he quickened his pace and walked forward. Halfway through, he was worried that Scarlett would not be able to keep up and get lost, so he not only slowed down his pace, but also took a few steps back.

After he quit, he regretted it.

Don't know what I'm doing.

It's so stupid!

"I was quite angry at first, but then I accidentally hurt you, and I calmed down. So what? I'll be generous."

Chiye heard Scarlett's answer in infinite annoyance.

The voice was very clear, with a hint of barely audible sweetness, so subtle that it seemed to be able to penetrate into his heart through the air.

His heart skipped a beat and his breathing became a little rapid.

But his instinct prompted him to refute. The word "get out" came out of his mouth, but he couldn't spit it out for a long time. He didn't turn around to look at Scarlett. He stood there for two seconds, swallowed the word "get out" and said indifferently: "Hehe."

Chiye was not walking aimlessly.

The light screen is the same as the light computer. Unless sharing is turned on, only you can see it.

As early as when he was taking Scarlett forward, he sent a message to everyone to meet at the designated location.

There is only one layer of illusion in the low-level area. After breaking it, the next step is to find the key and the portal.

There are six keys, randomly distributed. The portal will appear only after all the keys are found.

The portals are also randomly distributed, some are real and some are fake, and you must find the real one to get out.

This kind of task is actually easier to do separately, but the Lost Continent has regulations that everyone must gather together before the alienated monster with the key will appear, which invisibly increases the difficulty of leveling.

The days in the Lost Continent are relatively short. The two had been walking for less than ten minutes when the clear blue sky that had just been there gradually dimmed. The blue color seemed to be stained with ink, gray, dim and without any light.

A dim orange color appeared on the horizon. In just a few seconds, it swallowed up the entire sky, then faded away, and the sky became dark.

Scarlett and Chiye are in the jungle.

The road is lined with tall trees and lush bushes half a meter high.

The trees are strange in shape and have lush branches and leaves.

Although the bushes were green, if you looked closely, you could see a few dark red lights shining through the green tips, as if blood had been splattered on them, or as if they were oozing blood.

As the sky darkened, a rustling sound began to appear in the bushes. The sound was noisy and chaotic, sometimes loud, sometimes soft, as if countless living creatures were desperately trying to find an exit and break free from their shackles.

Scarlett was timid and shrank away from the sides of the road, afraid that something would really jump out of the bushes, pounce on her and scare her to death.

She walked close to Chiye and asked, "How long will it take to get there?"

Each leveling area in the Lost Continent has a supply location where you can take a break.

The atmosphere here was gloomy and Scarlett was unable to accept it. She couldn't wait to go there to relieve her tension.

Chi Ye lowered his eyes and looked at Scarlett's shoulder pressed against his arm. Her thin shoulders were trembling. The corners of his mouth twitched, "What? Are you scared to death now?"

Scarlett is soft-hearted and doesn't like to be tough.

Others are hard.

She'll be harder.

Immediately, his neck stiffened and he launched a counterattack, "I'm worried that you'll get hurt."

Chiye looked at her with a half-smile, "Really?"

"Of course!"

Scarlett emphasized her tone to hide her guilt: "If I'm hurt, you'll be hurt too. If I die, you'll die too. Tell me if I'm worried about you."

“It’s true.”

Chi Ye was amused by Scarlett's rogue words. He reached out and lifted her waist. With a flick of his wrist, he carried her on his shoulder and strode forward. "Don't worry, you won't get hurt with me here. Oh no, it's me who won't get hurt."

Chiye blurted out the last few words one by one, as sarcastic as he could be.

Scarlett rolled her eyes and said nothing, lying on his shoulder at ease. She wished she didn't have to walk.
