Chapter 13 Untitled
"How did you do it?" Si Wan was surprised like a newborn baby who was curious about everything.
Her big eyes blinked, her white fingertips stroked the kiln wall, and the long kiln made of rammed earth bricks made her feel dazed for a moment.
She turned around and smiled, then asked in a cheerful and lively voice, "Yu Jinnian, how did you do it?"
The man stood one meter away from the kiln entrance, looking at Si Wan quietly.
Seeing the girl's face emitting a pure and genuine smile, the sunlight slanted down from the kiln entrance, and the rippling halo of light shattered on Si Wan's face, the beauty was ethereal and unreal.
Yu Jinnian narrowed his eyes and started walking towards Si Wan. His tall figure blocked out everything. His eyes were as cold as ice, but he never let go of Si Wan for a moment: "...Who are you?"
"Hmm?" The woman was stunned, looking up at the man. But after a moment, she raised her extremely charming eyes and said with a smile, "Si Wan."
Yu Jinnian believed it of course, he grew up with Si Wan, Si Wan had been around him since she was a fat kid, calling him "Brother Jin, Brother Jin".
After nearly twenty years, how could he admit his mistake?
"It seems that you have put in a lot of effort during your three years studying abroad." What he was unfamiliar with was that he did not believe in the aura of great knowledge coming from Si Wan.
A love-brained loser can actually recognize something that is a thousand years old.
Si Wan blinked and turned to walk inside: "...Not really, I just learned from it." She turned halfway and said: "Don't forget who my father is."
"Heh." Yu Jinnian laughed and stopped.
Everyone knows that the third son of the Si family is as dumb as a pig, mistaking a spittoon for porcelain. Yet, even such a brilliant mind could one day boast so brazenly that he could say something like "I've been influenced by what I've seen and heard."
If this isn't embarrassing, what is?
When they reached the deepest part, the space became several degrees darker. Yu Jinnian found a thin rope on the wall that was pulling a light bulb.
As my vision cleared up, I heard footsteps behind me.
Si Wan looked over and saw a young man.
The man had his hair tied up in a low bun, wore a rust-colored vest with short sleeves, and jeans whose color was so different that it was hard to tell.
He has a lean body but a muscular body that is considered to be of the highest order, and beads of sweat are hanging on his wheat-colored skin.
As she got closer, she saw a face that made Si Wan want to kill him.
“…How dare you show up in front of me?” He kicked out unexpectedly.
Yu Jinnian: "..."
Liu Ling fell to the ground and looked at the ceiling: "???"
After a long while...
“…Haha, the craftsman that Yu Dong found is exactly what I want.”
As soon as he finished speaking, Liu Ling stood up from the ground and stared at Si Wan. He raised his hand to wipe the blood from his nose and rubbed it on his pants.
Liu Ling had been practicing martial arts since childhood and was naturally agile beyond ordinary people. He never expected that he would be knocked down by a woman who looked so frail today.
It was embarrassing, really embarrassing, but it made my boring life a little more interesting.
"Don't yell at me for beating a woman if you lose an arm or leg later." Liu Ling said with a sneer, and punched out fiercely.
The two people who met for the first time started fighting over a disagreement.
Dust was flying everywhere, and porcelain pots and ironware were clattering and falling.
The two of them fought their way to the exit until they disappeared.
After the dust settled, Yu Jinnian was left standing there with a dark look on his face.
The two people fighting each other on the loess plain were just like martial arts masters in the movies, each move was aimed at killing.
"I didn't expect that you also had your soul transported. You treacherous bastard caused me to be beheaded. Wei Ziyan, if I don't kill you, I will never be able to relieve the hatred in my heart." Si Wan roared, and jumped into the air to lock Liu Ling's head.
She wanted to break him.
Liu Ling swiftly dodged Si Wan's attack, but the next second, he felt a chill on his ear and the smell of blood. He was startled, gnashing his teeth as he said, "...Master Si, you're quite skilled, but I urge you to get your brain treated. You either have delusions or you've been reading too many mindless novels."
Si Wan: "...I can't possibly remember your face wrongly even if it turned to ash." She reached out and grabbed a brick from the low wall beside her, weighing it in her hand. "I'll use this to smash your head. Let you experience the feeling of beheading."
"Have you had enough of the trouble?" Yu Jinnian's voice came, and the man's brows were so furrowed that he could almost pinch a fly to death.
Liu Ling shrugged and then made a gesture of surrender: "Dr. Yu, you saw it too. It's not me who's crazy."
The hand raised in the air was rough but flawless. This hit Si Wan hard, and she seemed unable to accept her almost commanding words: "Show me your palm, your left hand."
Liu Ling was stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter the next second: "Miss Si is quite talented. After beating someone up, she wants to read palms now?"
Although he said so, he didn't dodge when Si Wan grabbed his hand.
The dark and smooth white together form a sharp contrast.
The woman's thumb slowly slid across Liu Ling's palm. If he was that Wei Ziyan, then he should have a broken palm.
But there was none: “…How could there be none?” Si Wan murmured.
*
Liu Ling's residence was not far from the kiln, and he bought a farmhouse.
There was a square wooden table and two chairs in the yard, with a black mesh sunshade cloth hung over the head.
Sitting opposite Yu Jinnian, Liu Ling made some tea and brought it over, then sat on the earthen wall next to him.
"Is everything done?" Yu Jinnian didn't touch the tea on the table, and the person he asked was naturally Liu Ling.
Liu Ling nodded: "...We can start working anytime." He then changed the subject and glanced at Si Wan again, and continued: "I just don't know who..."
When Si Wan found out that Liu Ling was not Wei Ziyan, her emotions had calmed down. Her cold face was distant and far-reaching, and her bored gaze was fixed on the ants moving on the ground, and no one knew what she was thinking.
He glanced over coldly and said in a low voice, "She is also available at any time."
"Let's go back." Si Wan suddenly said, and after standing up, she looked at Liu Ling with a deep look. After that, she had nothing to say, so she pursed her lips and gave up.
I've never felt so lost.
It's a pity that she can't kill someone with the same face.
On the way back, Gu Yiru called again. Because Si Wan was connected to Yu Jinnian's car's Bluetooth, she was automatically recognized as soon as she got in the car.
She had learned a lot about this world, but she seemed not to have learned skills like switching the receiver hands-free. She just chatted with Gu Yiru for a while with the speaker on.
Gu Yiru: "The young master of the Gu family has booked a restaurant at Haifu for 6 o'clock. Mom has booked a private makeup photo shoot for you and will send you the address later."
Although Si Wan felt that there was no need to make such a fuss, she still agreed to Gu Yiru's request and hummed, "I understand, Mom."
Gu Yiru was so happy that she couldn't stop smiling: "Wanbao, dear, if you can get married, your child will also have the surname Gu, and your mother will be honored."
"..." Si Wan laughed helplessly and said, "Mom, aren't you thinking too far ahead?"
Gu Yiru: "Hahahaha, ouch. It's true that nowadays, my Wanbao can choose any man in Kyoto. As long as he is not from the Yu family, any mother will agree."
Si Wan: “…”
Why is it suddenly so cold in this car?
…
