Chapter 1 Chapter 1 Marriage

Chapter 1 Chapter 1 Marriage

"Comrade, this is your marriage certificate, please keep it."

"Comrade, are you all right?"

Jiang Ling came back to her senses and was stunned when she saw the red-covered marriage certificate in front of her.

The staff member with pigtails and wearing a Lenin suit looked at her with concern.

Everything in front of me is different from modern society, women in gray clothes and old and dim interior decoration.

It was obvious that she had traveled through time, to the 1970s and 1980s.

There was also a marriage certificate handed to her. Who was getting married?

Could it be that she is getting married?

The newlyweds were both very good-looking. The staff at the marriage registration office were willing to take a closer look at them. After issuing the marriage certificate, they did not urge them to leave quickly.

Next to her stood a handsome young man, wearing the same blue work clothes as the others, yet he looked like a crane among chickens, out of place.

With a smile on his lips, he asked Jiang Ling if she was feeling unwell.

This person should be the husband with whom she just obtained the marriage certificate.

Listening to his caring words, Jiang Ling felt a little guilty. They had just got their marriage certificate and she was already pressing against his newlywed wife's body.

"My wife is not feeling well. Can she rest in your room for a while?"

The older sister at the marriage registration office saw that this young man not only had a good appearance but was also kind to his wife, so her liking for him increased sharply.

"There is a stool in the corner. Take your wife and rest over there."

Sitting in the corner, Jiang Ling opened the marriage certificate in her hand.

The marriage certificate with black letters on a yellow background reads: Jiang Ling and Song Guanshu voluntarily get married. After examination, it is found to be in compliance with the provisions of the Marriage Law. This certificate is issued on February 28, 1983.

Jiang Ling opened her eyes and arrived at the hard struggle of 1983, but this was not the most depressing thing for her.

Her name is Jiang Ling, and the man she is marrying today is Song Guanshu.

Coincidentally, it happened to be a period novel she had read a few days ago. The dark villain in the novel was called Song Guanshu, who was insidious and cunning, with a snake's heart and a preference for causing trouble for the male protagonist.

Somehow, after knowing that her cheap husband was Song Guanshu, Jiang Ling's guilt for occupying someone else's body suddenly lessened by half.

Song Guanshu has no feelings for the owner of the original body. He is dating "Jiang Ling" just to cause trouble for the male protagonist Xie Lang.

Jiang Ling is Xie Lang's moonlight. He has someone else in his heart, but he is too embarrassed to pursue her.

Song Guanshu saw through his thoughts and turned him into his object.

What you can't get is always the best. Even though Xie Lang was already with his official partner Tong Wanyue, he still couldn't forget "Jiang Ling" in his heart.

In order to allow the hero and heroine to be together wholeheartedly, "Jiang Ling" turned evil.

When Xie Lang loved her, she chose to be with Song Guanshu, who had a brighter future.

Xie Lang solved several major cases and became a backbone of the Municipal Bureau.

Song Guanshu was shot dead. In order to seek protection, "Jiang Ling" climbed into Xie Lang's bed even though she knew that he had a girlfriend.

Xie Lang saw her true face and removed Bai Yueguang from his heart.

Without Xie Lang's protection, "Jiang Ling" went to a nightclub to drink with a rich man in order to hook up with him, but was beaten and paralyzed by the bodyguard hired by the man's wife.

Jiang Ling sighed slightly. This marriage certificate must have some meaning. There were two people in total, one was shot and the other was paralyzed on one side.

The marriage registration office only relies on a small coal stove for heating. The room is not warm and the staff who stamp the documents often need to blow on them and rub their hands.

Song Guanshu was indeed a "good husband". He went out and got some roasted sweet potatoes from somewhere. The roasted sweet potato was still steaming, so it was wrapped in oil paper and stuffed into Jiang Ling's arms to warm her hands.

The staff at the registration office watched the two interacting with a smile. The couple was good-looking and had a sweet relationship.

The young couple who came to register naturally noticed this corner. Seeing that the man was not only gentle in appearance but also kind to his wife, their own boyfriends who were in love at the time suddenly became much more of an eyesore.

Jiang Ling knew it was not a matter of love or not, he was just acting out of a desire to perform.

Smelling the sweet aroma of sweet potatoes, Jiang Ling became hungry.

At noon, the original owner asked the head of the Finance Department for half a day off. Without having time to eat, I hurried to the marriage registration office.

Song Guanshu was the only college student assigned to the factory last year. He had a good-looking appearance and many girls in the factory had a crush on him.

Liking him and marrying him are two different things.

Song Guanshu was born into a capitalist family. Although the policy was relaxed regarding class background, ordinary people still had prejudices against people with bad class background.

As a result, although he has a high salary and is handsome, no one dares to be a matchmaker for him.

Being pursued by Song Guanshu satisfied the original owner's vanity, but she was reluctant to agree to him.

It was not until before the Chinese New Year this year that my brother's girlfriend's parents came to our house and said that Jiang Liwen had made his girlfriend pregnant and they would sue him for being a hooligan if he didn't get married.

Jiang's parents were not initially happy with their future daughter-in-law who was not a formal worker, but now that they have a grandson, they had no choice but to agree.

Jiang's parents thought that agreeing to the marriage was a blessing, but Jiang Liwen's girlfriend's parents were still not satisfied. They walked around the Jiang's house and asked where the couple would live after marriage.

The Jiang family lived in a house allocated by the daily chemical factory. It had two rooms, one large and one small. There was a curtain in the large room, so the old couple and their daughter slept in the large room, while their two sons, Jiang Liwen and Jiang Liwu, slept in the small room.

Zhao Hongyun's parents' request was not excessive. They couldn't let the newlyweds live in the same room with their brother-in-law.

In the past, Jiang Ling and her two older sisters shared a bed. After her two older sisters got married, she was finally able to sleep in a bed of her own.

Jiang's parents found Jiang Ling privately and asked her to give her bed to her younger brother Jiang Liwu, and she moved to the living room to sleep.

It is so inconvenient to let a 20-year-old girl sleep in the living room when guests come to the house.

She chose to marry Song Guanshu out of helplessness. The day before yesterday, Zhao Hongyun moved into Jiang's house. After sleeping in the drafty and privacy-less living room for two nights, she decided to get married.

There are collective dormitories in the factory, but Jiang Ling doesn’t have a good relationship with her fellow workers and cannot live in the staff dormitory.

Among the men pursuing her, Song Guanshu had the best conditions. He was a rare college student, and if housing was allocated in the next batch, he would be one of the employees who received one.

Song Guanshu had an impeccable smile on his face and looked at her tenderly.

Jiang Ling carefully peeled the sweet potato skin and ate the whole sweet potato in two bites in front of Song Guanshu.

The mask on Song Guanshu's face almost broke, and he looked away in unbearable pain. He had not lived with his parents for a long time since he was a child, and many of his habits had become deeply ingrained.

Even when he went to the countryside as an educated youth, no matter how tired or hungry he was, he never ate without caring about his image.

Jiang Ling briefly thought about the feasibility of getting a divorce right after getting the marriage certificate. Whether the procedure was feasible was secondary. The most important thing was that it would easily make Secretary Song Guan hate her.

Only when I felt warm in my stomach did I begin to feel that this world was real.

She put the marriage certificate in her pocket and said, "I'm fine now, let's go back."

It’s not even the end of the first lunar month yet, but the red spring couplets are still posted on the doors of every household.

After leaving the marriage registration office, Jiang Ling realized that the small coal stove in the office was working hard.

In February, the outdoors in the north is bleak and devoid of greenery, with snow that has not yet melted piled up on the roadside.

A gust of wind blew by, completely soaking through the cotton coat.

Jiang Ling pulled her neck into her thin cotton coat, but she was still very cold.

Song Guanshu pushed his bicycle and said halfheartedly, "I'll take you home."

Of course Jiang Ling would not refuse. Her memory was still confused and she couldn't find her home by herself.

But he secretly complained in his heart, what a pretentious person.

This man's gentlemanly demeanor was all fake. The original owner and he both walked from the daily chemical factory to the marriage registration office. He had a bicycle, but the original owner walked here on foot, otherwise he wouldn't have been so hungry.

Sitting sideways on the back seat, it was her first time riding a 28-inch bicycle and she was a little scared.

The road was uneven, and Jiang Ling held his waist to prevent him from falling off.

He had never had such an intimate behavior with a female comrade before, and even though he was wearing a thick cotton coat, Song Guanshu still felt uncomfortable.

He subconsciously wanted to jump out of the car and shake her hand off.

It was Jiang Ling’s first time riding in this kind of vehicle. She was scared and hugged him especially tightly.

One wants to escape, the other is afraid of falling.

The final result was that both the person and the car fell on the road.

It was a weekday and there were not many people on the road.

But Jiang Ling still pulled up her scarf, covering most of her face, leaving only a pair of bright black eyes exposed.

We wear thicker clothes in winter, but the ground is harder than in other seasons.

Jiang Ling's arms and legs were not hurt from the fall, only her forehead hit the bones on Song Guanshu's back.

She rubbed her red forehead. His bones were so hard.

She fell down for no apparent reason, but she was still angry. She blamed him, "Why did you fall down on the road for no reason?"

Che and Jiang Ling pressed on Song Guanshu together. He acted as a human cushion and was pressed tightly.

The people of North City are kind-hearted. If they see someone fall on the road, even if they don’t know the person, some people will stop and want to help.

Without caring about Jiang Ling, Song Guanshu got up by himself and picked up the bicycle. He did not lend a hand to Jiang Ling and let her stand up by herself.

Where else can I see the loving look of my wife at the marriage registration office?

Song Guanshu certainly didn't think it was his fault. If Jiang Ling hadn't suddenly hugged him, how could he have fallen?

But he habitually took the blame on himself, "Sorry, it's my fault."

"Forget it." He admitted his mistake in a good manner, and Jiang Ling's anger subsided a lot.

Jiang Ling moved her hands and feet and found that only her forehead hurt. "You are not injured, are your arms and legs okay?"

Song Guanshu smiled, but the smile did not reach his eyes. He put his bruised hand back into his sleeve and said, "I'm fine."

Jiang Ling suggested, "Let's not ride the bike anymore, let's just walk back."

She was afraid of falling again.

Song Guanshu's idea was that they should go their separate ways and return to their own homes, but since she had brought it up, it was difficult for him to refuse.

"good."

The two walked back to the staff quarters of the daily chemical factory in silence.

Inside the employee service station of the daily chemical factory, a few middle-aged ladies gathered together to chat.

"Jiang Ling, you're back so early today." Aunt Cui had sharp eyes. When she saw someone she knew, she ran to the door and asked in a loud voice.

I haven't heard that the third girl from the Jiang family has a boyfriend.

"Who is this guy? He's so handsome."
