Chapter 332: The old man is jealous again!
The next day was Shi Runrun's first day back at Peking University.
Xiao Xue Zheng woke up just as the morning sun climbed onto the windowsill, even more punctual than when he usually went to the company for the morning meeting.
Shi Runrun was still asleep when she heard someone busying around beside her.
She opened her eyes drowsily and saw Xiao Xue Zheng already dressed and standing at the door of the cloakroom, holding two sets of clothes in his hands, making a difficult decision with a serious face.
One of them was a long-sleeved cotton and linen dress, off-white in color, loose in style, and covering her from neck to ankles.
The other set is a sports suit, also with long sleeves and long pants, and a hat big enough to cover half of the face.
Shi Runrun: “…”
She sat up, rubbed her eyes, and felt a little amused.
"What are you doing? Up so early?"
Xiao Xue Zheng heard the sound, walked over with clothes, and handed the sportswear to her.
"Wear this. It's comfortable and keeps out the wind."
Shi Runrun looked at the sunny weather outside the window, then looked at the thick sportswear in his hand, and the corners of her mouth twitched.
"It's summer now, and you want me to wear this? Are you trying to make me die of heat?"
The man raised his eyebrows disapprovingly: "There are a lot of people in school, so it's better to dress warmly to avoid attracting any inappropriate eyes."
As he spoke, he placed another backpack beside the bed.
When Shi Runrun opened it, she saw that it was packed full. There was a thermos cup filled with red date water that he had cooked that morning, two apples, a bunch of cleanly washed grapes, and various snacks that she liked.
She even found a small GPS locator in the mezzanine.
Shi Runrun was completely speechless. She looked up at the man who looked as if it was a matter of course and felt like she was not going to school but to participate in wilderness survival training.
"Xiao Xuezheng, I'm just going to class for two hours, not to survive on a deserted island."
"It's better to be prepared." The man threw down these four words, without giving her time to refute, and turned around to check the books and stationery she was going to bring today.
That overly nervous and cautious look made Shi Runrun's helplessness gradually turn into a hint of sweetness.
This man is so childish and cute.
After breakfast, Xiao Xue Zheng really drove her to school personally.
The black Bentley was driving smoothly on the road, but the cabin was not quiet at all. It was filled with a man's "earnest teachings".
"Remember, stay in the classroom after class and don't go anywhere."
"Don't talk to male classmates. If you have any questions, talk to female classmates, or call me directly."
"I asked Qin Feng to bring lunch over at noon. You must eat it in the restaurant I reserved. You are not allowed to eat the unnutritious food in the cafeteria."
"Keep your phone on. I'll check up on you at any time."
Shi Runrun leaned against the car window, listening to his endless instructions, her ears almost getting calluses.
She turned her head, looked at his tense profile, and teased him deliberately: "Xiao classmate, you are almost as good as my mother."
The man glared at her in the rearview mirror and snorted, "I'm responsible for you."
The car soon arrived at the gate of Peking University.
It was the peak school hours, and the door was full of young students full of youth coming and going.
Xiao Xue Zheng parked the car in an extremely eye-catching location, attracting curious glances from many passing students.
Shi Runrun felt a little embarrassed, pulled down the brim of his hat, and just wanted to get out of the car quickly and slip inside.
But just as she was about to open the car door, her wrist was grabbed by a big, hot hand.
She turned around and looked at him in confusion.
Xiao Xue Zheng said nothing, but leaned over, unbuckled her seat belt, then held her face, and regardless of the gazes coming and going outside the car, gave her a domineering and lingering kiss.
This kiss was full of possessiveness, like a declaration of sovereignty.
Until Shi Runrun was almost breathless from his kiss, he reluctantly let her go, stroking her rosy lips with his fingers, his voice hoarse.
"Stamp it and let them know that you are taken."
Shi Runrun's face suddenly turned red. She pushed him away, got out of the car almost in a panic, and ran towards the campus without looking back.
Behind her, that burning gaze followed her like a shadow, staring at her back until she disappeared around the corner of the teaching building.
Sitting in the bright and clean classroom again, listening to the teacher's lecture and smelling the faint fragrance of books and ink in the air, Shi Runrun felt as if he was in another world.
Everything is so familiar, yet so strange.
She was a little absent-minded when suddenly a clear male voice came from the side.
"Hello, classmate, are you sitting in the wrong seat?"
Shi Runrun came to her senses and turned around to see that a boy was sitting next to her.
The boy looked to be in his early twenties. He was wearing a clean white shirt and had a smile on his face. He looked sunny and cheerful.
Shi Runrun was stunned for a moment, looked at the class schedule on the table, and confirmed that he had not walked into the wrong classroom.
"My name is Shi Runrun, and I'm back to school." She explained in a low voice.
"Ah, it's Senpai!"
The boy suddenly realized and smiled even brighter. "Hello, senior sister, my name is Lin Ze, and I'm the monitor of this class. I thought you were a new transfer student. Don't mind me, I just saw that this seat has been vacant."
"It doesn't matter."
Shi Runrun also responded with a friendly smile.
Perhaps it was because Lin Ze's attitude was too warm and natural, Shi Runrun's tense nerves relaxed a lot.
Throughout the class, Lin Ze took good care of her, actively lending her his class notes and helping her highlight the key points emphasized by the teacher.
"Senior, you just came back, so there must be a lot of things you're not used to. If you have any questions in the future, you can always ask me."
After class, Lin Ze said to her while packing up his books.
"Okay, thank you so much."
Shi Runrun thanked him sincerely.
Meeting such enthusiastic classmates gave her more expectations and confidence for her future campus life.
She lowered her head and put the books and stationery into the backpack that Xiao Xuezheng had prepared for her, and a relaxed smile unconsciously appeared at the corner of her lips.
But the moment she raised her head, the smile on her face suddenly froze.
At the door of the classroom, a person appeared at some point.
Xiao Xue Zheng was wearing a well-tailored black suit. He was tall and straight, standing there expressionlessly, blocking most of the light from the door.
His appearance was out of tune with the vibrant campus environment, but his overwhelming aura attracted the attention of the entire corridor.
In his hand, he was holding an insulated lunch box, which contained her lunch.
Didn't he ask Qin Feng to deliver it? Why did he come here by himself?
Shi Runrun's heart skipped a beat.
The man's bottomless black eyes were staring at her without blinking, or to be more precise, at her and Lin Ze beside her.
Although there was a distance between them, Shi Runrun could clearly feel the low pressure of impending storm emanating from him.
