Chapter 82 Little Goldfish

Wei Luo was woken up by Sun and A'ruan early in the morning to dress up. Wei Miao and Wei Shu followed their father to get up early. The two children ran around the house noisily, which made Wei Luo wake up from his sleepiness.

A'ruan was afraid that there would be too many people and too many things to do at the wedding in the Wei Mansion, and the two children might run away if they were not careful, so she asked Eighteen to follow them in secret.

Wei Miao had been running for most of the morning and felt a little hungry. He couldn't find his parents, so he walked towards the table with pastries, clutching his little hands and hesitantly.

"Sister," Wei Miao tilted his head and called Wei Shu outside. When she didn't come, he couldn't help but pout, looking at the table of cakes with envy, and said aggrievedly, "Miao Miao is hungry."

Wei Min had reminded him more than once not to eat anything outside and not to take other people's things. Wei Miao touched his stomach and stood not far from the table swallowing his saliva reluctantly.

The servants of the Wei Mansion recognized the young master. Seeing that he was alone here, they immediately came over and squatted to ask him, "But can't you find your father?"

Wei Miao's mind was full of pastries. He shook his head blankly and said pitifully, "I'm hungry."

The little servant's heart melted. He led him to the table, pinched a piece of exquisite pastry and handed it to him, "You can eat all of these, little master."

Wei Miao had seen this little waiter beside Wei Luo before, so he took the pastry hesitantly, held it in his hand, looked up and said thank you softly.

The young servant originally wanted to take Wei Miao to see Lord Wei, but he had too much to do, so he told the people at the door to keep an eye on the young master, and wait until he had eaten enough, and then take him to Lord Wei, making sure that he didn't get hurt.

Wei Miao waited until the waiter left before he put the uneaten piece of pastry in his hand on the table, then he leaned against the table and stood on tiptoe to reach for the new piece.

He had short arms and legs, and he stood on tiptoe, pushing the ground with his fingers, trying to reach the plate of pastries with his little mouth, opening it with great effort.

This was the scene that Jinyu saw when she accidentally walked in.

Seeing that the little boy was really pretty, and seeing that he was dressed in gorgeous clothes, she guessed that he was either the master of the Wei Mansion or a distinguished guest, and he must not be a child who would steal food. So she walked around behind him curiously, patted his shoulder, and asked knowingly, "What are you doing?"

Wei Miao had just put the pastry into his mouth when he was frightened and it fell to the ground with a "pop".

"Chestnut cake." Wei Miao's face suddenly wrinkled with sadness. He immediately squatted down to pick it up. He patted the non-existent dirt on it with his little hands and looked at it hesitantly, wondering whether to put it in his mouth.

Don’t eat it. You have to use all your strength to reach it. Eat it. Daddy has told you not to eat dirty things.

Wei Miao's face was wrinkled into a bun, he pursed his lips and looked up at the person who scared him with a condemning look.

There was no way Jin Yu would let him eat something that fell on the ground, so she immediately squatted down and said, "I'm sorry, I scared you." She took the dirty cake from Wei Miao and asked him, "What were you doing just now?"

Wei Miao felt extremely aggrieved, tears almost welling up in his eyes. He looked pitifully at the cake in Jin Yu's hand and said softly, "I'm hungry."

He pulled out the cloth bag on his body to show her, "I've finished eating. It's all empty."

Jin Yu looked at Wei Miao's pouting mouth, stood up without thinking, and brought him a new cake, "Here."

For five-year-old Jinyu, the height of the table was nothing. She asked Wei Miao, "Which one do you want to eat?"

Wei Miao felt a little embarrassed, so he just pointed at one. Jin Yu brought the whole plate down to him, and the two children squatted against the table leg to eat secretly.

Wei Miao's big eyes blinked, and he smiled sweetly at Jin Yu while taking small bites of the cake. His movements were delicate yet fast. He ate very quickly, and before his cheeks could move for a few seconds, a piece of cake was gone.

For the first time, Jinyu felt that watching other people eat was a kind of enjoyment, and the feeling was sweeter than eating herself.

"What's your name?" Jin Yu raised her hand to wipe the pastry crumbs from the corner of Wei Miao's mouth.

Wei Miao shrank back a bit, and when he saw that she meant no harm, he slowly reached back, “Miao Miao.”

Jinyu blinked and pretended to be confused, "Meow meow?"

Wei Miao shook his head and said in a serious tone: "Miao Miao, the Miao with three characters for water."

Miaomiao means water. His mother said that he was very young and handsome just like his father, so she named him Miao.

Jin Yu curved her eyes and said, "Guess what my name is?"

Wei Miao wondered how to guess this and shook his head blankly.

Jinyu felt her face getting hot for some reason, so she raised her hand and scratched it. "My name is Jinyu."

Wei Miao licked the cake crumbs off his mouth and smiled, "Goldfish."

"Meow meow meow, little goldfish." Jin Yu took another piece of cake and handed it to Wei Miao. Just watching him eat, she felt a look of satisfaction.

When Wei Min came, Eighteen was waiting not far away, so he asked, "The sedan chair for the wedding will be here soon, where is Miaomiao, A'ruan?"

Eighteen raised his hand and pointed inside the house, "They are eating cakes."

Wei Min shook his head with a helpless smile in his eyes, "What a greedy little cat, you get hungry wherever you go."

“Miaomiao.” Wei Min stepped over the threshold and glanced around the room but saw no one. He couldn’t help but frown, “Miaomiao?”

When Wei Miao heard Wei Min's voice, he immediately narrowed his eyes, moved closer to Jin Yu, and whispered to her, "My mother is here to see me."

After saying that, he immediately stood up and ran towards Wei Min happily, "Mom."

Wei Min smiled, and gently wiped the cake crumbs from his mouth. He reached out and picked him up, sitting on his forearm, "Your father is looking for you."

Although he was talking to Wei Miao, his eyes glanced at the little girl who stood up from under the table with Wei Miao.

Jin Yu respectfully bowed to Wei Min as a junior.

A hint of surprise flashed across Wei Min's eyes, but his face remained expressionless. He just nodded slightly, hugged Wei Miao and turned away.

The child is only four or five years old, and he is probably not the master of an ordinary family.

Just looking at her facial features, Wei Min felt like he had seen her somewhere before. "Miaomiao, who was the person who was talking to you just now?"

Wei Miao tilted his head and thought for a while, "Meow meow meow, little goldfish." He hugged Wei Min's neck, showing his small white teeth, and said clearly: "Mom, she said her name is Jinyu."

"Jinyu." Wei Min chewed on the surname and narrowed his eyes slightly. There are not many people with the surname Jin in Jiang. There is one in the capital, and that is Duke Jin.

After the two left, Jin Yu looked at the half-eaten plate of pastries on the ground with a bit of disappointment, squatted down, pinched a piece and put it in her mouth, frowned and shook her head.

The taste is average, not as delicious as what Miaomiao tasted just now.

She picked up the plate and put it back on the table. Just as she walked out the door, she saw a servant from the Jin Mansion running over with a worried look on his face, "My little ancestor, you made me look for you so hard."

"Hurry, hurry, the gift that the Duke sent has been delivered to the Wei Mansion," the servant kept chattering in Jin Yu's ear, "The Duke said that since you are here, he asked you to come here on his behalf, so that you can at least show your face and report in front of Prime Minister Wei."

Jin Yu put on a smile and said okay, but she was thinking in her heart that the person she just saw might be Wei Min, the left prime minister of the current dynasty.

Apart from her, it would be hard to find another person with her temperament in the entire Wei Mansion.

Wei Min came back with Wei Miao in his arms and handed the half-full man to A'ruan. Wei Shu raised his hand to scratch his calf and muttered, "I didn't see you for a moment. Where did you go? I searched for you for a long time. I thought you went back to your father."

Wei Miao smiled foolishly, took out a piece of exquisite pastry from the empty cloth bag, bent down and handed it to Wei Shu, "Leave it for my sister."

It is a lightly sweet chestnut cake.

Wei Shu's taste is similar to Wei Min's, and they also don't like to eat too sweet things. Wei Miao remembers this in his heart.

Wei Shu took it and bit off a large piece, still mumbling, "Don't run around next time, don't let someone sell you in a sack. Also, don't eat the cakes given by others. If someone kidnaps you, how can you get them back?"

Wei Shu, who is only half an hour older than Wei Miao, is a worried elder sister. She thinks her brother is stupid and anyone can deceive him.

Wei Miao pinched his fingers and smiled at Wei Shu. He didn't refute what she said, and asked her, "Is it delicious?"

Wei Shu stuffed the last bite into his mouth, licked the crumbs on his fingers, and said casually, "It's so-so."

A Ruan looked at the two children, smiled and said nothing. When she saw that the auspicious time was almost here, she carried Wei Miao into Wei Luo's room.

When Wei Luo got married, Wei Qi held his hand and walked him out.

Looking at the woman standing on the red carpet at the entrance corridor, Wei Qi felt reluctant to let go of his brother's hand.

If she were to send him there, the brother who grew up playing with her would belong to someone else.

Wei Qi choked up a bit, and said softly while holding back his tears: "Brother, don't worry about our parents, Liu Liu will take good care of them. After you get married...if you are not happy, just come back, Liu Liu will definitely be able to support you in the future."

Wei Luo originally thought that getting married was nothing, but after hearing what she said, her nose felt sore and tears fell. She said in a muffled voice: "I live so close, I will definitely come back to see you often in the future."

Wei Lian and Sun Shi were also reluctant to leave, but Wei Lian was used to being calm and taciturn, so no matter how reluctant she was, she did not show it in front of others. She just said, "If you miss home in the future, just let me know and I will ask Liu Liu to pick you up."

Sun glared at her but didn't refute. She patted Wei Luo's hand and choked up, "Now that you're married, don't be so naughty. Husbands and wives should communicate more and don't hold grudges overnight... Do you understand?"

As he spoke, tears began to fall. He felt an indescribable pain in his heart.

Wei Luo understood, he understood everything, and he hugged Sun while crying.

Wei Luo's wife was indeed a scholar with a gentle and elegant temperament. She didn't look like someone who would make him angry.

A Ruan held Miaomiao in one hand, raised her hand and touched Wei Luo's face through the veil, indicating that he should take care of himself in the future.

Finally, when he came to Wei Min, Wei Luo stopped in front of her and called out with a choked voice, "Auntie."

Wei Min suddenly felt reluctant, he stood with his hands behind his back and clenched his fingers, he said in a deep voice: "My children of the Wei family are not people who can bear grievances."

"It may not be appropriate to say this today, but I still want to tell you this. If you get upset in the future, don't worry about what others think and just come back."

"No matter how many years you have been married, the Wei family will always be your support and the place that can back you up."

Wei Luo burst into tears, choked with sobs and unable to speak, and said goodbye to everyone reluctantly.

His wife stepped forward to support Wei Luo and promised everyone in the Wei family, "I will definitely bring Luo back from time to time in the future."

This is exactly what the Wei family wants. As long as they can come back often, they will know whether their children are living a good life after marriage.

Wei Min felt a little touched when he saw the bridal sedan being carried away. He felt deeply that his son should not marry far away. He was worried about someone as close as Wei Luoli. What's more, if he married far away, wouldn't his heart as a parent fly away with his son?

Looking at Wei Miao leaning in A'ruan's arms, Wei Min just hoped that time would go slower and slower.

Wei Miao saw that Wei Min had been looking at her, and thought that he was full and heavy, and that he had tired his father, so he immediately reached out to her obediently and sensibly, "Hold me."

Wei Min took the person over with a smile, lowered his eyes and said, "If Miaomiao gets married in the future, your wife must satisfy mother, otherwise your parents will worry about you."

Wei Miao seemed to understand, leaning in her arms, nodding and saying, "I will marry you only if you are satisfied with me."

Jin Yu was not far away, just behind Wei Min. She couldn't hear what Wei Min said because his voice was too soft, but she could see Wei Miao's mouth shape clearly. For some reason, she felt a lot of pressure and couldn't help but straighten her back and pursed her lips.

It may not be easy to satisfy Prime Minister Wei.

The author has something to say: Wei Min: (drinking tea and blowing hot steam) If you want to satisfy me, it's very simple

Jinyu: (respectfully) Please tell me⊙?⊙

Wei Min: (sneers) Just stay away from my son and I'll be quite satisfied.

Jinyu: ..._(:зゝ∠)_ Then you may not be satisfied.
