Chapter 84 I Love You

When A'ruan was led out of the inner room by Wei Min, many people were already sitting in the main room, even Jiang Wuque's wife and husband had come over.

When everyone heard that A'ruan could speak, they were particularly curious and sat in the main room waiting.

Ah Ruan sat in the main seat, feeling inexplicably nervous. She clutched the clothes on her legs with her hands, looked at Jiang Wuque on the left and Feng Yu on the right, and was unable to speak.

It was as if there was a breath stuck in his throat, blocking the words he was about to say and he couldn't utter them out.

Jiang Wuque leaned forward, habitually resting his arm on the armrest of the chair, pointed at Feng Yu beside him, and asked expectantly: "Aruan, what's his name?"

A Ruan moved his mouth, clenched his fingers, and didn't say a word until his face turned red.

He turned to look at Wei Min helplessly, his eyes silently asking for help.

Wei Min stood up and walked in front of A'ruan, blocking everyone's view of him with his body, bent down and whispered in his ear: "A'ruan, just call me wife the same way you called me last night, call me that again today."

Speaking of this, A Ruan couldn't help but glare at Wei Min, scolding her for having no self-control.

Knowing that he could speak last night, Wei Min used all means to force him to call her "wife" countless times, each time with a crying voice. The more he begged for mercy, the more excited she became.

Wei Min smiled gently. When he thought of the soft and sweet crying voice in his ear last night, he felt a tingling sensation in his tailbone and his heart itched.

"It's okay," Wei Min patted A'ruan's hand soothingly, "Take your time, there's no rush. If you don't want to talk about it, then we won't talk about it."

Ah Ruan met everyone's expectant eyes, blushed slightly, and avoided their gazes.

He could have clearly said it to Wei Min yesterday.

Ah Ruan clutched the clothes on Wei Min's waist with both hands, looked up at her, only looked at her face, bit her lip, and tried to hum softly: "Wife."

The soft voice, with a hint of coquettish nasal tone, made Wei Min's heart beat faster, and he couldn't help but lower his head and kiss him between the eyebrows.

"You can't bear to watch this." Jiang Wuque raised his hand and covered Feng Yu's eyes, saying, "These two are really too disgusting. Aren't they afraid of corrupting the child?"

There were four children in the room. Wei Miao was concentrating on eating, Wei Shu and Jiang Xinli were playing, and one was in Feng Yu's belly.

Jiang Wuque felt relieved that Feng Yu got pregnant early, otherwise it would have been bad if she got pregnant during the national mourning period after the emperor's death.

Ah Ruan's face suddenly turned even redder and she smiled shyly.

Everyone chatted and laughed again, and when the atmosphere eased, A Ruan felt less nervous.

Jiang Wuque repeated what he had just said, pointed at Feng Yu and asked A Ruan, "What's his name?"

Ah Ruan smiled, looked at the woman who was already four months pregnant, and spoke clearly, "Feng Yu."

Everyone immediately raised their hands and applauded. A Ruan looked a little amused, as if he had performed some special stunt.

Jiang Wuque pointed at his own son and asked, "What's his name?"

When Jiang Xinli was called, he immediately pursed his lips and looked at A Ruan expectantly.

"Xin Li," Ah Ruan said softly with a gentle expression, "Xiao Shu's childhood sweetheart."

Jiang Wuque’s method worked every time. He slid his finger among the crowd, hesitating about who to point at.

Erjiushiba raised his hand and pointed at himself, motioning Jiang Wuque to look over.

Wei Min raised the teacup to cover his lips, lowered his eyes and coughed lightly, signaling her to stop.

It was only after A'ruan answered Jiang Wuque's questions that she realized why she was being pointed at and asked how to say this or what to call this, just like Miaomiao when she just learned to speak.

Ah Ruan immediately glared at Jiang Wuque, and she smiled awkwardly, "I was just playing around, Ah Ruan, don't be angry."

Jiang Wuque was also happy in his heart, so A'ruan naturally wouldn't be angry about this.

After everyone had a meal in Wei's mansion, Jiang Wuque took Feng Yu back, and his son stayed in Wei's mansion for two days to play with Wei Miao.

The emperor passed away and the court was busy with various affairs. As the new emperor, Jiang Wuque was busy with the preparations for his ascension to the throne, while Wei Min, as the left prime minister, had to deal with the affairs of the court. Both of them were equally busy.

Despite being busy, Wei Min still found time to go to Xingyu Lane.

Xingyu Lane, Xinghuayu Lane, the name sounds poetic and beautiful, but it is actually a royal prison, where all the royal relatives who have not committed crimes punishable by death but are imprisoned.

Wei Xiang entered the palace in a black robe and came out two hours later. His body was spotless. He just lowered his eyes and wiped the water stains on his fingertips with a snow-white handkerchief. He said to Eighteen in a calm and cold voice, "Send someone to the palace to tell them that the deposed princess Jiang Wuyong committed suicide because she missed the late emperor too much."

When Wei Min came out of Xingyu Lane, she was carrying an exquisite and beautiful wooden box. Eighteen thought that it was bought by the adults as a gift for the master, but she turned around and handed the box to her.

As soon as Eighteen took the box, he smelled a strong smell of blood. The hairs on his back stood up immediately and he understood what was inside.

Didn't the late emperor want to eat the heart? As a loyal minister, Wei Min would naturally find a way to bury her heart with him.

A'ruan was not at home today, and he had not returned when Wei Min returned home.

A jewelry store in the capital had new merchandise, and someone asked A'ruan to go out and pick out some jewelry. However, he had nothing to do in the mansion, so he went out.

When A Ruan came back, Wei Min was washing his hands carefully with soap, so carefully that he even scrubbed the gaps between his fingertips several times.

"Aruan, did you buy anything you like when you went out?" Wei Min wiped his hands with a towel before walking towards him.

When she came closer, Ah Ruan could smell the moist and fragrant water vapor on her body and asked, "Why are you taking a shower before it gets dark? Are you tired and want to go to bed early?"

It's not summer now, it's winter now, who would take a bath several times a day?

Wei Min hummed, and didn't say much about this matter. He changed the subject by picking up the newly bought eyebrow pencil on A Ruan's dressing table and said, "This color is pretty."

In front of Ah Ruan were a number of newly bought jewellery and rouge. He picked out a jade hairpin and said, "This is the only one I bought myself. The rest were given to me by others..."

"They used the excuse that my voice had improved and sent me some gifts every now and then, or invited me out to listen to music, appreciate flowers, and go shopping. I couldn't refuse, so I had to accept it."

Ah Ruan smiled and picked up the jade hairpin she had bought, saying, "I asked Erjiu to return a gift according to the price of the things they gave me."

If it were someone else, it would be a matter of reciprocity, but for A'ruan, it's just that I don't want to take advantage of you or take anything from you. I will return as much as you give me, and we don't owe each other anything.

Wei Min lifted A Ruan's chin, bent down and tried the color of the new eyebrow pencil for him, and said with a smile: "No matter how good your gift is, they may not like it."

Ah Ruan put his hand on Wei Min's waist and said softly, "I don't want them to like it, I just want them to know that some things won't work with me."

If someone wanted to ask Prime Minister Wei to do something, it might not be easy, but if her husband could be asked to mention it, it would be more useful than giving any number of gifts.

As long as A Ruan spoke, Wei Min would nod in agreement.

Everyone knew this, so the families and masters of ministers and wealthy businessmen always wanted to have a good relationship with this first-rank husband.

Unfortunately, A'ruan is a stubborn person. He has the best food, clothing, and housing, and lacks nothing. Naturally, he doesn't envy anything and doesn't want to take it from others.

Wei Min lowered his eyes to draw eyebrows for A'ruan. He smiled when he heard the words, straightened up and took the pen. He said in a serious look: "I'm afraid it will not be easy for me, Wei Min, to be a treacherous prime minister."

Ah Ruan looked at her suspiciously, "Hmm?"

Wei Min bent down and kissed his forehead, his lips touching it, and laughed softly, "Because I married a good husband."

Ah Ruan raised her hands and hugged Wei Min's waist with a gentle look in her eyes. She rested her chin in the crook of her neck and said to her ear, "That's because my wife loves me and pampers me. I live a happy life, so naturally I have everything I need and don't want anything from others."

Ever since he was able to speak, Aruan has fallen in love with the feeling of biting ears.

In the past, he could only make gestures with his wife face to face, otherwise she couldn't see, but now he can hug her and whisper to her at the same time.

Before going to bed at night, A'ruan thought of the masters who had flattered him during the day, and couldn't help feeling a little emotional. How many of them actually liked it? It’s because my wife forced me to come here.

A'ruan felt sad and unhappy when she thought of Wei Min. Her tenderness slowly turned into ripples in spring water. If his wife was not the left prime minister, but just an ordinary official, she would probably not be willing to let him go out and smile for others and act according to other people's wishes.

When Wei Min came in from outside, she just sat on the bed and raised her hand to lower the curtain, and A Ruan's arms came around her from behind and clasped her waist.

Wei Min raised his eyebrows, tilted his head and asked, "Why is A'ruan so enthusiastic and proactive today? Is your waist not tired?"

She had originally planned to let him rest tonight, after all, he was tired after walking around for most of the day.

A Ruan held her in his arms and did what he had always wanted to do before he couldn't speak. He blew out the lights, closed the curtains, and whispered in her ear.

"My dear wife, I like you," Ah Ruan's eyes were misty as he embraced Wei Min's neck and insisted on saying the whole sentence, "I like you to the bottom of my heart, engraved in my bones, no one can compare to you."

For Wei Min, the best words she had ever heard in her life were:

"My dear wife, A'ruan likes you."

Because of this sentence, Wei Min didn't let A'ruan sleep almost all night.

She responded to Aruan with practical actions. She loved him so much that she would rather die on him.

The author has something to say: Ah Ruan: Oh, I’m afraid I’ll be the first one to be drained to death╯^╰
