Chapter 204 Prevention

Shi Mohuai and Shi Wangting slept on the floor in the master bedroom where Wang Xiaomin usually rested, while Zhao Xiaoyun and Dong Huanxin slept on the floor directly in Tao Wenwen's room.

Although Tao Wenwen had been trying hard to adapt to everything around her, she still felt strange and uncomfortable with the sudden appearance of two people in the room. She tossed and turned in bed, unable to fall asleep. She kept her eyes closed until the early morning, and only managed a short nap when it was almost dawn.

Tao Wenwen woke up again when the rooster crowed downstairs.

There was no trace of Zhao Xiaoyun and Dong Huanxin on the floor. Tao Wenwen sat on the bed for a while, then got out of bed with a dizzy head and went downstairs.

As soon as she reached the stairs, her nose was filled with the fragrance coming from the kitchen. She went downstairs and stood at the kitchen door, where she saw Shi Mohuai busy in the kitchen. Two dishes were already on the table.

Seeing Tao Wenwen coming down, Shi Mohuai said to her, "Go brush your teeth and wash up, then you can eat. This is my last dish."

When Tao Wenwen finished washing up in the yard and returned to the living room, her meal had already been served on the table and everyone was sitting around it. They didn't pick up their chopsticks and start eating until she sat down.

Shi Mohuai prepared three dishes. One dish had a few pieces of dried meat cut into it and stir-fried together. Another was a purely vegetarian dish. One was scrambled eggs with tomatoes, and there was also steamed buns!

Everyone held a steamed bun in one hand and chopsticks in the other, occasionally lowering their heads to drink a mouthful of porridge.

Tao Wenwen's mouth was watering as she watched. She followed suit and took a steamed bun to eat with the dish and occasionally a mouthful of porridge. The sour taste of the tomatoes permeated the eggs, and the soup was rich and refreshing. The temperature of the porridge was just right.

After finishing a refreshing breakfast, Tao Wenwen let out a long sigh of satisfaction, followed by a burp.

Everyone was amused by her appearance.

After the meal, everyone went out happily together. Shi Mohuai took Zhao Xiaoyun and her daughter to the town again. Tao Wenwen, carrying a pair of silver needles and taking Shi Wangting, her little follower, to Zhang Ertian's house.

When they were almost at Shangnan Village, they met Zhang Kongming who was grazing cattle in the wild. Zhang Kongming saw Tao Wenwen at a glance. When Tao Wenwen reached the village entrance, Zhang Kongming was already waiting there.

"Are you going to see my uncle?" Zhang Kongming guessed correctly. "The cows are tied up now. I'll go with you!"

As he spoke, his eyes glanced at Shi Wangting who was beside Tao Wenwen.

Shi Wangting was also looking at Zhang Kongming.

The two people's eyes met unexpectedly, and there was a sense of vigilance in their eyes.

"Yes." Tao Wenwen explained as they walked, "My eldest brother is downstairs. He'll take care of Aunt Yun and Huanxin. I'll come and see Master Zhang when I have some free time. Is anyone home?"

"They are all here." Zhang Kongming said.

Knowing that Tao Wenwen didn't like crowds and noise, he immediately added, "Don't worry, I'll have them all leave in a while. They won't disturb you at all!"

This is what Tao Wenwen fears the most. Not only does she have to give acupuncture to patients, she also has to deal with the constant questions from the patients' relatives and friends, such as why they have to prick here, why it seems to have no effect, and why there are so many acupuncture needles that they can overwhelm people.

Even if you tell them these things, they won't understand. They forget things as soon as they turn around, but they insist on getting to the bottom of them.

Tao Wenwen followed Zhang Kongming into the house and saw that the house was full of people.

All the people I saw in this room last time were back again, and they were serving me enthusiastically by the bed.

However, Zhang Ertian's condition did not improve despite their constant care. Instead, as the days passed, it seemed to have gotten worse.
