Chapter 67 Four Unlikes

"Good boy! Don't be angry, I won't say anything more! Get up, okay?"

Kangxi longed to kiss those eyes, but he knew that if he did, he would lose control and want to continue, so he could only restrain himself from touching her.

"Um!"

Harigana was extremely frustrated. This man was truly shameless, but the feeling of disliking him yet being unable to hit him was unbearable.

Kangxi was increasingly pleased to see the timid Harigana. He thought to himself, "If only things could stay like this forever!"

Thinking of this, Kangxi's smile vanished instantly. Could things continue like this? Was he really going to be left to fend for himself alone in Harigana?

Emperor Kangxi had no answer to this idea for the time being, and he thought it was a joke. Did he really want to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather and father and dote on one woman, only to be criticized by the world?

Harigana has clearly felt Kangxi's estrangement these past two days. Although they are sitting in the same carriage, he no longer has the same behavior as before, where he wanted to hold her all the time.

Most importantly, she has already slept in her own tent for two nights.

"Your Majesty, what's wrong?"

Dulan looked at Harigana, who was deep in thought, and asked her in a low voice. Even if she was oblivious, she could tell that something was off between the Emperor and Harigana these past two days.

Harigana snapped out of his thoughts: "Where is Granny Su?"

Dulan pointed outside. Although she didn't know why Harigana suddenly sought out Granny Su, she knew that as a servant, she shouldn't ask questions she shouldn't ask.

"Granny Su is outside. Should we call her in to serve us?"

Harigana wanted to nod, but remembering what Baoliri had said before that Kangxi might have placed some kind of secret guard by her side, she shook her head and said, "No need. Didn't His Majesty say that we should set off early tomorrow? You should all go and rest! Keep yourself in good condition. I'm fine here!"

Kangxi's matter cannot be resolved overnight. Even if we talk to Su Rina tonight, we cannot immediately understand the reasons behind it. Therefore, it is best to remain inactive for the time being.

"Yes! Then this servant will take her leave!"

Dulan obediently withdrew, intending to let Hairi and Granny Su all go back to rest while she stayed to keep watch. However, Hairi said that she would be on duty tonight and that Dulan should take good care of Harigana during the day tomorrow.

"Dulan, you go and rest first. I'll stay here and keep watch. Her Majesty is used to having you by her side. If you keep watch tonight, she won't have the energy tomorrow!"

Dulan thought about it and agreed to Hairi's suggestion. Besides, she had just seen Harigana lying in bed, so there was probably no need for them to go in and serve him.

"Alright, thank you for your hard work, Sister Hai Ri! Tomorrow I will serve Her Majesty, and you can rest in the carriage for a while."

"Okay! Don't worry! Go and get some rest!"

Harigana lay in bed, repeatedly thinking about what Su Rina had told him a few days ago, as well as Kangxi's unusual behavior these past few days. He fell asleep while thinking about it.

For some reason, she has been extremely sleepy these past two days. If it weren't for the fact that the imperial physician examined her and said she was fine, she would have suspected that she had been given Chinese medicine again!

The next day at noon, they finally arrived at the Genhe River basin. Harigana did not look well; she felt very unwell. After getting into the carriage, she leaned against a corner and fell asleep after a while.

These past few days have indeed been very difficult for Kangxi. Although he really wanted to pick up Harigana and make her more comfortable while sleeping, his outstretched hand lingered in mid-air for a while before he finally reluctantly withdrew it.

"Li Dequan, take a rest up ahead!"

Kangxi glanced at the sky. Although it was a bit early, the journey had been swaying and bumpy, and Harigana's brows were furrowed, clearly indicating that he was not feeling well.

"Yes! Your servant obeys!"

When Harigana woke up, Kangxi was nowhere to be seen. Only Dulan was sitting beside her, fanning her and dozing off.

"Princess, you're awake? Are you hungry?"

Perhaps because Harigana made a loud noise when she turned over, Dulan immediately opened her eyes, put the fan aside, and gently helped her sit up.

"Dulan, what are you doing here? Where is the Emperor?"

Dulan's expression wasn't very good, but after what happened last time, she no longer thought about hiding anything. However, she still considered Harigana's feelings when she spoke, so she was relatively tactful.

"Consort Tong is not feeling well and has summoned the imperial physician. Just now, the Consort's personal maid came to invite the Emperor over."

After Dulan finished speaking, she carefully observed Harigana's expression, afraid that she might be hurt. Harigana didn't seem to notice anything, but her expression was indeed not good.

She felt she couldn't stay on Kangxi's imperial carriage forever. She had been feeling drowsy these past few days and always wanted to sleep, so it would be better to have her own carriage.

However, now is not the time to talk about this. Kangxi has just gone to see Lady Tongjia. If we were to say that we wanted to ride in the carriage ourselves now, it would inevitably make him suspect that we were throwing a tantrum.

"Dulan!"

Harigana looked at Dulan's worried eyes, shook his head, and said nothing more.

"Princess, are you hungry?"

It's getting late. Little Li just brought back the food for Harigana, and it should be ready to eat now!

"Okay! I want to eat fried rice, mixed with Urimo sauce. I won't eat anything else, I just woke up and can't eat!"

"ah?"

Dulan was surprised that Harigana wanted to eat that; the princess had never eaten it before.

"What's wrong?"

Dulan shook her head: "No, this servant will go and get it for you right away!"

After Dulan finished speaking, he went downstairs to prepare food for Harigana. Since Harigana didn't really like this kind of food, Saenjiya didn't bring it for her at the time.

Fortunately, Su Rina liked to eat, so some fried rice, dairy products, and other foods were prepared in the carriage behind.

Kangxi did not return until the main force had advanced, nor did he send Li Dequan to inform her. Therefore, Harigana spent the entire afternoon alone in the emperor's carriage, feeling quite uncomfortable. She didn't see Kangxi until the evening rest.

"Princess, I've heard that there's a strange creature here. I wonder if we'll have a chance to see it!"

Harigana was bored and wanted to look at a picture book, but Dulan said that he shouldn't look at it for too long at night because it was bad for his eyes. So Harigana was chatting with Hairi and Granny Su.

"A four-legged creature that doesn't resemble a four-legged creature?" Harigana wondered, looking at the real-life photo taken with her phone. Then she realized that she was probably referring to a reindeer, since the animal did indeed look like a four-legged creature.

Are you talking about Sabugu?

She had seen this before in a book, and thought the reindeer looked cute, but it was only in a picture. The author's phone captured the actual photo: "Princess, I think that's her name!"
