Chapter 318 Casino
"What are you doing here? Do you want to gamble?" Lin Baoer tugged at Lin Zhishen's sleeve and asked quietly.
The casino has two floors in total, and there are a lot of people in the lobby, cheering loudly, crying bitterly, everything.
"Aren't you out of money? This is the fastest place to make money." Lin Zhishen, with a smile on his face, took Lin Baoer straight to the second floor.
But as soon as they stepped onto the stairs, they were blocked by two people.
"Sir, please stay. You are not allowed to go upstairs without a gift."
Lin Zhishen glanced at them indifferently, took out a jade pendant from his sleeve bag and threw it over.
The two thugs were slightly surprised when they saw the jade pendant, but then they became more respectful, made way for him, and bowed their heads, "Young Master, please."
Lin Zhishen ignored them and went upstairs directly.
Lin Baoer, who was following behind him, glanced at the jade pendant. It was just an ordinary jade pendant, and it didn't seem to be anything special. But why did the two men make way for it when they saw it?
But then she thought again, Lin Zhishen was the prince of Jiang State after all, and it was normal for him to have some rights since he was already in Jiang State's territory.
Thinking of this, Lin Baoer stopped thinking about the use of the jade pendant and looked forward.
The second floor was divided into private rooms. As soon as they approached the room with the stairs, they could hear voices and dice throwing coming from inside, and the sound of people shouting louder and louder.
Lin Zhishen skipped the first room and went directly to the room at the end of the corridor and pushed the door open.
"You are so familiar with this place, do you come here often?" Lin Baoer raised her eyebrows.
Lin Zhishen pretended to think for a moment and smiled, "I guess so."
"No wonder." Lin Baoer muttered.
In this case, she didn't have to worry about money. It seemed that Lin Zhishen was confident about this.
As soon as they entered, a servant brought tea over, "Please have some tea, both of you."
Lin Baoer nodded and looked around.
The layout of the private room is similar to those of the restaurants in Taiping Kingdom, a little worse than Shuiqinglou, but it is good to have such a setting in a casino. It is elegant and pleasant, and the air is filled with a faint fragrance.
After waiting for a long time without anyone coming, Lin Baoer opened the window and looked out, "Aren't you going to gamble? Just sitting here?"
She had never been to a casino, so she didn't know what the hospitality was like inside, but even if she had never eaten pork, hadn't she seen a pig running? For someone of Lin Zhishen's status, shouldn't someone immediately follow him as soon as he enters the casino and then entertain him in a friendly manner? Why is there no one now?
"Don't be in a hurry." Lin Zhishen took a sip of tea slowly, and raised his eyes in a moment, "I'm here." As
soon as he finished speaking, a laugh suddenly rang out from the door.
"It's been a long time since I last saw our eldest son Jiang. Why, why are you interested in coming to my place today?"
The man was wearing a red robe, with red lips, white teeth, and a high ponytail. His eyebrows and eyes were slightly seductive. He had a string of Buddhist beads in his hand, and the cuffs of his red robe were embroidered with money from all directions with gold thread.
Without waiting for Lin Zhishen to answer, the man set his eyes on Lin Baoer, glanced at her with interest, and sat down without hesitation, "Why, are you short of money again?"
"Yeah." Lin Zhishen said lightly.
"I knew it." The red-robed man curled his lips, fiddled with the Buddhist beads in his hand, and raised his eyebrows, "Why, don't you introduce me?"
Hearing this, Lin Zhishen put down the teacup and said to Lin Baoer, "Baoer, his name is Tang Mu, and he is the owner of the casino."
Lin Baoer blinked and nodded to Tang Mu.
She had vaguely guessed it since the red-robed man came in, and it turned out to be correct.
"This is Lin Baoer, my friend."
After hearing this, Tang Mu's eyes were even more surprised, and he looked at Lin Baoer with more interest, "Wow! You actually have a beautiful friend, how come I don't know?"
"There are so many things you don't know." Lin Zhishen glanced at him, and without saying much, he said directly: "I came here to gamble. Since you are here, it's just right, you come in person."
Tang Mu didn't say anything, but looked at Lin Zhishen meaningfully, then put the Buddhist beads in his hand on his wrist, and rolled up his sleeves, "Okay, it's an honor."
He clapped his hands, and then many people brought in the things from the casino until they filled up a table.
"Which one do you want to play?" Tang Mu said with a smile.
Lin Zhishen looked at Lin Baoer and softened his tone, "Which one do you want to play?"
"Me?" Lin Baoer was surprised and shook her head, "I can't play."
"It's okay, just pick one." Lin Zhishen sat on the other side of the gambling table.
Looking at the mess of things on the table, Lin Baoer hesitated for a moment, and finally chose the dice on the far right.
She only knew this one, at least she could understand the points a little, but she had no idea about the others.
"Okay, then this one." Lin Zhishen looked at Tang Mu.
Tang Mu curled his lips, signaled the servant to take the other things away, and then picked up the dice himself and shook it in the cup, "Points or size?"
"Size."
"Bet."
"Three hundred taels of silver."
After Lin Zhishen finished speaking, both of them were shocked.
Lin Baoer widened her eyes, a little worried, "Is it too much?"
This is all their fortune, if they lose, they will be out of money.
Although the two know each other, there are no friends at the gambling table, and she doesn't believe that this man named Tang Mu will let her win.
Tang Mu was shocked, "When did you become so poor? You have the nerve to take out three hundred taels?"
Lin Zhishen's mouth twitched, glanced at Tang Mu, and took out the banknotes in his pocket, "Don't talk nonsense, start quickly."
Tang Mu "tsk" and didn't continue to talk, but turned the dice cup in his hand, almost leaving an afterimage.
Lin Baoer stared at the cup tightly, but Lin Zhishen closed his eyes.
"Many people want to see but can't. You, on the other hand, always keep the door closed every time you come." Tang Mu complained, and finally slammed the dice cup hard on the table, "Okay, guess big or small?"
Lin Zhishen opened his eyes and looked at Lin Baoer.
"Do I have to do this too?" Lin Baoer hesitated.
Usually in novels and TV dramas, everyone can identify numbers by sound, but she can't! This time she didn't hear anything!
Lin Zhishen looked at her with a smile and comforted her, "It's okay, just say one."
Hearing this, Lin Baoer gritted her teeth, stared at the dice cup for a long time, took a breath, "Big!" She
was about to burst out with anger.
"Oh?" Tang Mu raised his eyebrows and looked at her jokingly, "Really?"
Lin Baoer's heart, which had just been determined, became uncertain and hesitant in an instant, "Then how about..."
"Just choose big." Lin Zhishen said, raising his eyes, "Open it."
Tang Mu shrugged and opened the dice cup.
