Chapter 171 Where Have You Been?

Lin Luo thought that it was already so late and it would not be safe to take a taxi, so he agreed.

The neighborhood where she lived wasn't too far from the company. It took about fifteen minutes to drive to her house. Mo Wanzhou sighed with some regret: "I'll take you for a good ride after we have a rest."

Lin Luo smiled and nodded: "Okay."

She unbuckled her seatbelt and got out of the car: "You should go back soon. It's getting late and you have to go to work tomorrow."

The car door slammed shut. Mo Wanzhou pursed his lips, and then he took something out from the side and got out of the car. He looked at Lin Luo's back and called softly, "Luoluo!"

Lin Luo paused and turned around in confusion: "Ah? What's wrong? Is there anything else?"

"The weather is getting colder." Mo Wanzhou handed the item in his hand to her, glancing around shyly, "This scarf is for you."

Lin Luo subconsciously waved his hands: "No, no, I have one at home. I've just been too busy lately and always forget to bring it with me before going out. Thank you."

"Just take it!"

Seeing that Lin Luo was still unwilling to accept it, Mo Wanzhou took the scarf out of the paper bag and gently wrapped it around her neck forcefully: "I've already bought it, if you don't wear it I'll throw it away, what a waste."

He smiled faintly, and without waiting for Lin Luo to refuse, he turned and left: "I'm going home, see you tomorrow!"

"..." Lin Luo took a step forward and gently placed his hand on the scarf. "Then please be careful. Thank you for the scarf."

Mo Wanzhou waved his hand, opened the car door, got in, started the car, and slowly drove away from her.

Lin Luo sighed, turned around and walked into the apartment building, took out the key and opened the door. What was different from the past was that it was bright today. The lights in the living room were turned on. She seemed to have thought of something in an instant, and a surprised smile rose on her face. She ran in without even changing her shoes, and raised her voice and said, "Huo Yin!"

The man stood in front of the dining table with his hands in his pockets. The table was full of delicious food, but there was no heat at all. It seemed that it had been prepared a long time ago.

He looked completely different from his usual appearance. The chill between his eyebrows was like an icy spring, which made Lin Luo's feet suddenly freeze in place. He felt as uncomfortable as if his whole body was bitten by countless ants.

"What's wrong with you?" She murmured in a daze, and the joy disappeared along with his frosty face.

Huo Yin curled his lips, seemingly nonchalant, but the coldness in his gestures made Lin Luo shiver uncontrollably.

He tapped his hands on the dining table and said, "You usually get off work at six, so you can usually be home by half past six."

He looked at the watch hanging on the wall, and suddenly his gaze turned straight at him, with a scrutinizing and frightening sinister look that came over him like an overwhelming force.

"But it's already half past nine. What have you been doing for these three hours?" He curled his lips coldly.

Lin Luo had no idea how he suddenly became like this. She took a small step back tremblingly and said in a low voice: "I've been working overtime at the company. I've been a little busy recently."

She bit her lip and said, "Have you been waiting for me for a long time? I didn't know you would come today. If I had known, I would have come here as soon as I got off work."

But Huo Yin saw the fear in her eyes.
