Chapter 2 It Has Nothing to Do with Me

Lu Jingyao has been in the entertainment industry for nine years and is now 27 years old. Xiaoyi paused and asked, "Did Sister Xia Xia enter the entertainment industry just for Lu Jingyao?"

Xue Mingan shook his head: "I haven't heard her say that."

The spotlights outside were shining brilliantly accompanied by crazy screams. Su Xia, standing in the center of the huge stage, was bathed in dazzling light, which was reflected on her diamond-studded long skirt. She looked like she was standing in a galaxy, like a myriad of stars, so out of reach.

After the song ended, Su Xia returned to the backstage holding her long skirt. Her eyes were bright as if holding countless stars in them, her red lips were slightly curled, and her expression was lazy. Her beautiful appearance made the staff who had just passed by lose their minds for a moment.

Xue Mingan has long been accustomed to it: "Go back to the lounge to touch up your makeup, sit in the guest seats below for a while, and then prepare for the final chorus."

Su Xia nodded, took the water handed to her by Xiaoyi and took a sip. Xue Mingan opened the door of the rest room. The atmosphere inside was obviously much more enthusiastic than before, and the breath of spring was overwhelming.

She slowly raised her eyes and looked at Gu Yu who was sitting in her chair and talking to the makeup artist. She said calmly, "Excuse me, don't you have your own rest room?"

The makeup artist's cheeks blushed and she hid in the corner. Gu Yu lazily leaned back on the chair, crossed his legs and said, "I came here to give you a secret message, and this is how you treat me?"

"I don't need your secret information," Su Xia walked up to him expressionlessly and kicked his leg with her high heels, "But if you say something stupid to the staff around me again, you will bear the consequences yourself."

Gu Yu stood up and made an OK gesture to give her a seat, with a half-smile on his face: "But are you sure you don't want to hear this information?"

He put his hands in his pockets and tilted his head: "You might regret it."

Su Xia's red lips curled up slightly, and her pretty and charming face instantly glowed with an alluring light. She opened her mouth and uttered one word calmly and confidently: "Get lost."

Xue Ming'an gestured to Xiaoyi to do her own thing, and calmly closed the door amid the glances coming and going.

Gu Yu touched his nose and shrugged: "After all, we have been friends for so many years, are you really not going to give me any face?"

Su Xia glared at him: "If you have any shame, I will give you some face."

"Then I don't care about my face anymore." Gu Yu turned around and sat on the sofa. He unbuttoned two buttons of his suit, revealing his collarbone vaguely, which made him look sexier. "For the sake of our friendship over the years, I'll tell you."

"I heard that Lu Jingyao came here."

Su Xia's nonchalant expression paused visibly, but only for a moment, and then she smiled in a friendly and innocent manner: "Oh, what does it have to do with me?"

She returned her gaze to the mirror: "Come if you want, it has nothing to do with me."

The calm tone of his voice caught Gu Yu completely by surprise and he raised his eyebrows slightly. He thought about it and suddenly smiled: "Is that so."

"It seems like I'm being nosy. You've always kept work and personal matters separate, so you definitely can't chase stars during work hours," he said in frustration. "Forget it. I'm going to prepare for the show!"

Su Xia still had no expression: "Well, it's good that you know, go quickly."

The door closed, and Gu Yu was followed by other staff members from the organizer. Xue Mingan walked up to her calmly and asked, "Do you want me to ask around?"
