He looked at the two men coldly, took out his cell phone from his pocket, typed a few words at random, and sent it out.
"The police will be here soon. From what I understand, you guys have killed many people."
Huo Yin shot the man in the leg again, and laughed as he cried out in pain: "Why don't you think about how to run now?"
He walked over nonchalantly and kicked the man who was lying on the ground, barely breathing. The corners of his lips curled up coldly: "Everyone has the right to choose their own life. I choose the sunshine, and you are the ones who fall into hell."
After saying this, he passed the man and slowly left without looking back.
The man's breathing was heavy, and severe pain spread throughout his limbs. He trembled and climbed up, holding on to the wall, and said in a heavy voice: "You can't hit his vitals at such a close distance! What should we do now? If we fail to complete the mission, we will be finished even if we go back."
"Don't worry." The man's tone was sinister, "I guessed it might be like this, so I dipped the bullet in poison. The poison is very strong. He won't live long."
He said, "Let's go quickly."
But the next second, the sound of sirens came from far away, the flashing neon lights surrounded them all, and the sound of footsteps was heard.
The two were stunned, almost in despair.
Huo Yin leaned against the wall, his breathing becoming heavier.
A fishy-sweet smell rose up in his throat, he held onto the wall with one hand, slightly bent his back, and suddenly spat out a mouthful of blood, the sticky blood standing out on the ground.
He reached out to wipe it away, the overwhelming pain made his fingers cramp slightly. He gritted his teeth and endured it, took a few steps forward and raised his head.
In his sight, there was a warm and dim light coming from the residential building. His vision was a little blurry. He shook his head, frowned, and his face was as pale as paper.
It seems there is no way to go back.
Huo Yin leaned his back against the wall and curled his lips bitterly.
There was another fishy-sweet smell in his throat. He bent over and vomited blood violently. His forehead was covered in cold sweat and even his fingertips were white. He straightened up and took out his cell phone weakly but urgently.
The call was picked up almost as soon as it was dialed, and the urgent voice of a little girl came from the microphone.
"Huo Yin? How is it now? Is it resolved? Are you coming back?"
"..." The familiar and pleasant voice made Huo Yin's wrinkles on his brows relax. He laughed softly, looking at the light shining from the window, and raised a bloodstained smile, "Well, everything has been dealt with, but..."
His brows softened: "I can't go back, Luoluo."
He will eventually fall into darkness, but fortunately, before falling, he had a brief period of happiness, so even if he was asked to go to hell, he was willing.
The voice on the other end seemed to pause, and Lin Luo's voice, pretending to be calm, came: "What do you mean you can't come back? Do you have something urgent to do? You promised to cook for me, I don't care, just come back."
Lin Luo's voice seemed to tremble slightly, she realized something: "Or where are you, I'll go find you!"
Huo Yin’s vision became increasingly blurry, as if he had no strength left.
He slowly slid down the wall and sat on the ground, his voice hoarse: "Well, I'm not far from home, where you used to feed stray cats. Come on."
He continued suddenly, "Don't hang up."
