In the hospital, Su Xia felt sore and weak all over, and the tiredness and pain from just waking up filled her whole body.
She pursed her lips and sat quietly on the bed, looking at the doctor and following his instructions as she underwent the examination.
The strong smell of disinfectant filled Su Xia's nostrils. It wasn't unpleasant, but it made her feel a little uncomfortable. The nurse was talking to the caregiver. She lowered her eyes and was briefly absent-minded.
Suddenly, a hand appeared in front of her and slowly stretched out towards her. Su Xia couldn't help but shiver and stepped back in panic. She raised her eyes, and fear was in her eyes.
The doctor paused and gently apologized to her: "I'm sorry, Miss Su, I just want to see the scar on your neck."
"..." Su Xia bit her lip, her eyelashes trembling, the light in her eyes dimmed a little, and she shook her head, "It's okay."
She sat up straight and said, "Look."
The doctor's movements became gentler. He untied the layer of gauze wrapped around her neck, frowned slightly when he saw that it was still severely red and purple, with even slight bloodshot eyes, and then wrapped her neck with a new layer of gauze.

"Mr. Lu." The doctor said.
"Yeah." Lu Jingyao raised his eyes, "How is she?"
"The wound on her neck is quite serious. It will take some time for it to heal. Miss Su is a little weak now, but her body is recovering well." The doctor paused, "One more thing is that Miss Su has some psychological trauma now."
He continued, "This can't disappear all of a sudden. You or Miss Su's family should give her some comfort during this period of time."
Lu Jingyao nodded, his face visibly colder, his eyes flashing gloomy: "Yeah."
His voice was very light, but if you listened carefully, you could clearly hear a hint of frost: "This level of blockade, no unauthorized people are allowed to come up."

The sky outside was already slightly brighter, as if all the sins of yesterday had been eliminated. The sun was rising and a new day was coming.
Lu Jingyao's heart couldn't help but tighten.
The nurse saw him, walked up to him and called out softly, "Mr. Lu."
Su Xia seemed to have finally realized that someone had come in. She slowly turned her head and looked over calmly without a trace of emotion. Her dark eyes were like a black hole, making people's hearts tremble.
The nurse said, "I'll go buy some breakfast first. Call me if you need anything."
Lu Jingyao hummed, his lips straightened. His whole body was a little tense, yet cautious, his heart trembling: "...Qianqian."
