Chapter 59: Water from Idol

She pursed her lips and lowered her head: "It has nothing to do with you. You are well fed and well slept, and you are about to be promoted. If it affects your promotion, you will naturally pretend not to see it."

Lin Luo raised his eyes, his eyes dark: "Sister Chen, you know who the real culprit is, right? Otherwise, no one in the company would keep silent about this case, let alone obstruct our investigation."

"Which company's rich kid is he?" She curled her lips sarcastically, "Or is he from a powerful family?"

"Journalists are supposed to investigate things thoroughly and give back to society, not to deliberately avoid talking about things for the benefit of certain people or for your own benefit. If that's the case..." She said word by word without fear, "What kind of journalists are you?"

The dark light in Huo Yin's eyes was trembling.

Chen Yiran was startled by Su Xia's direct gaze, his mouth slightly opened, and he almost forgot his lines.

She was barely able to follow Su Xia's role at first, but she couldn't keep up with the extreme emotional fluctuations in the later part.

She said, "Lin Luo! Don't you want to do this anymore?"

As soon as he finished saying this, Director Hu called out "Cut".

Su Xia was out of character instantly, and Lu Jingyao loosened his grip on her wrist. He glanced at the faint red mark on her wrist and said, "I'm sorry."

"It's okay." Su Xia replied nonchalantly.

Several people looked at the director together.

Director Hu frowned slightly, obviously dissatisfied with the scene just now.

"Chen Yiran, right?" He stood up. "Aren't you trying too hard on your expression? You didn't show any expression when you should, and you tried too hard when you shouldn't. Did you read the script carefully?"

"I can't continue the scene later," Director Hu continued, "What were you doing when Su Xia and Lu Jingyao were acting just now? Didn't you want to take a look?"

Being scolded in front of all the staff, Chen Yiran bit her lip in embarrassment, her face red and white. She rarely remembered what Zhang Anyang said to her, and bent down to apologize to the director: "I'm sorry, Director Hu, I'll do another one."

She bent down to apologize to the staff, and finally faced Su Xia, gritted her teeth and said calmly: "Sorry, Xia Xia."

Su Xia ignored it.

Director Hu saw that she had a good attitude in admitting her mistakes, so he softened his tone a bit, "Next, study the script more often."

Chen Yiran nodded: "Okay, Director."

The second time was better than the first, but it still did not meet Director Hu's expectations. After four or five more takes, it was barely passable.

Su Xia had a lot of lines to speak, and her mouth was dry from talking. She glanced at Chen Yiran, who was talking to the staff next to him with a guilty look on his face, and felt that she might not be able to have her midnight snack today.

After all, someone still doesn't reflect on himself properly when his acting skills are not up to standard, and he still has time to win the favor of the staff...

She sighed and sat on the chair, opening the script and memorizing the lines for the scene to be filmed tomorrow.

Suddenly, there was an opened bottle of mineral water in front of me.

The hand holding the water bottle was slender, white, with distinct joints. It was the hand she had seen many times at book signings.

Su Xia raised her eyes. Lu Jingyao looked down at her. His tone was very calm, and no emotion could be heard: "Drink it."

The water from my idol...

Su Xia took it calmly and smiled at him sweetly: "Thank you, Brother Jingyao."
