Chapter 236 Snow White Manor
Jun Lan was a little embarrassed. Should she speak out? Or should she wait and see what happens? After making up her mind, Jun Lan just stared at this strange visitor without saying a word.
Duanmu Lin felt overwhelmed when he saw the four children on the bed.
"Jun Lan, which ones are your children?"
Junlan didn't say anything.
Duanmu Lin: "Stop pretending, I'm your uncle Nangong."
Junlan still didn't speak.
Duanmu Lin: "Situ also came with me. As for Yang Ning, I'm really sorry. We have tried our best, but there is still no news from him."
Jun Lan: "Are you really my uncle Nangong?"
Duanmu Lin: "It's genuine. If you don't believe me, I'll take you to see Situ tomorrow."
Junlan: "Fanxi and Mingli also came here."
Duanmu Lin: "I know, I've met Fanxi. Where is Mingli now? Is he doing well?"
Jun Lan: "Stop talking. You have no idea what kind of life Mingli and I and other kids have been leading here when you were away!"
Duanmu Lin: "I'm sorry, I got you into trouble."
He picked up Yang Shuang and asked, "What's the child's name?"
Jun Lan: "He is Yang Ning and I's son. He was born just last month. His name is Yang Shuang."
Duanmu Lin: "You gave me another grandson? You are such a lovely daughter-in-law. Yang Ning will be so happy when he finds out."
Jun Lan: "Uncle, why have you been missing for so long and now you've become Master Duanmu?"
Duanmu Lin: "It's a long story..." He told Jun Lan everything that had happened.
Jun Lan sighed deeply: "Alas, it turns out that you haven't had an easy time these days, uncle."
Duanmu Lin: "Now that I'm back, I won't let anyone hurt you and the children."
Jun Lan: "Uncle, please think of a way to get Mingli out. It's too dangerous to leave him alone in the mountains with the drug dealers."
Duanmu Lin: "Don't worry, he is my son and I will naturally find a way to rescue him. Someone should contact me in a few days to discuss Bo Sang's matter. Then I will find a chance to bring him back unharmed."
Jun Lan: "Hearing you say that, I feel relieved. You should go back quickly. Otherwise, if people know that you came to my room in the middle of the night, I will never be able to clear myself even if I jump into the Yellow River."
Duanmu Lin: "I understand. Let me kiss my two grandsons first." Duanmu Lin kissed Yang Le and Yang Shuang.
"Yang Le has grown up a lot, Jun Lan. They are all Yang Ning's biological sons. He is not here now, so you must take good care of them as their father."
Jun Lan looked at her children and thought about how she had been worrying about them for so long. If she hadn't heard from them in so long, wouldn't that have worried her parents, who were thousands of miles away? It had been hard to say what would happen before, but now she had her uncle's support. Even if she couldn't live the same luxurious life as before, at least she could call and let him know she was safe, right?
Jun Lan: "Uncle, can I call my parents in China tomorrow?"
Duanmu Lin: "Okay, I'll take you to see Situ. He misses you and the child too. Wait for me to make arrangements tomorrow."
Junlan: “Yeah.”
Duanmu Lin slowly walked out of Jun Lan's room, but he didn't notice that just as he left the room, a black shadow flashed in the distance.
After he walked away, the pair of eyes hidden behind his back revealed a hint of coldness.
"Duanmu Lin, oh Duanmu Lin, I almost thought you had cultivated your mind and temper, but who knew a dog can't change its nature of eating shit. You said you would sleep in the study, but in the end you slept in a woman's room. Since you were the one who was unjust first, don't blame me, Su Dalong, for being unjust to you."
The next morning, Duanmu Lin and his family sat at the dining table and had breakfast together.
Duanmu Lin: "Jin'er, is there anything important to do today?"
Duanmu Jin: "No."
Duanmu Lin: "Okay, I'm going to a place with Yamei later and won't be back until the afternoon. Let your wife take care of the child first. Don't call us if it's not something urgent."
Duanmu Jin: "Where are you going?"
Duanmu Lin coughed.
Su Dalong: "Does your father need to ask you for permission before going somewhere?"
Duanmu Jin quickly lowered his head: "I understand."
After hurriedly finishing his breakfast, Duanmu Lin took Jun Lan to a manor called "Bai Xue".
Jun Lan: "Uncle, the temperature here is around 30 degrees Celsius all year round, but why is this manor called Baixue?"
Duanmu Lin: "Because Situ wants to turn this place into a paradise, a place as pure as snow."
Jun Lan: "Wherever there are people, there is the Jianghu. Wherever there is the Jianghu, there will be disputes. I'm afraid this will disappoint Situ."
Duanmu Lin: "It's a good thing to have hope. Let's go, don't keep Situ waiting too long."
They walked into the hall.
"Boss, Junlan, you are finally here?" The two looked up and saw Situ standing on the stairs in the hall, with his hands on the handrail of the stairs, looking down at them.
"Situ, are you really okay? I was worried to death." Jun Lan couldn't help but feel mixed emotions of sadness and joy when she thought about how he had sacrificed his life in exchange for her and her child's freedom, but when she walked in front of Situ, she didn't know what to say.
After a moment of awkward silence, Situ was the first to speak: "Have you hidden Tian Zhixing?"
Jun Lan: "I've hidden it. If you give me such a precious thing, I will definitely keep it well."
Situ: "As long as you understand."
Duanmu Lin: "Didn't you say you wanted to call home? Hurry up."
Jun Lan took the mobile phone handed to her by Duanmu Lin and suddenly felt that it had been a century since she last used it. However, this thing was just an ordinary daily necessity in her hand a few months ago, but now it seemed to be something more precious than gold.
She dialed the home phone with trembling hands.
Aunt Lin's voice rang out from the other end of the line: "Hello?"
Jun Lan couldn't help sobbing.
"Hello?" Aunt Lin didn't know what to do for a moment when she heard the crying.
"Is that you, Junlan?" After all, mother and daughter are connected by heart. For some reason, Aunt Lin was certain that the person on the phone was her daughter.
"Mom, it's me." Jun Lan was crying uncontrollably at this point.
"You silly girl, where have you been all these days? Do you know that your dad and I almost went crazy looking for you?" Aunt Lin on the other end of the phone couldn't help but burst into tears.
After everyone's emotions had calmed down a bit, Jun Lan said, "Mom, don't worry about me. The child and I are doing pretty well here."
Aunt Lin: "I'm glad you're okay, I'm glad you're okay. What on earth has happened to your family these days?"
Jun Lan: "Mom, I really can't tell you anything right now, but please don't go looking for my uncle and his family anymore. Stay as far away from them as possible, okay?"
Aunt Lin: "I see. Oh, old man, I haven't finished talking yet, why did you snatch my phone?"
Lao Lin: "Jun Lan, are you really okay?"
Jun Lan: "Dad, I'm sorry. I'm grown up now, and it's time for me to repay you, but now I'm making you worry about me like this. I'm really sorry."
