Chapter 43: Jade token? I have one too

Jiang Huai and Jiang Yucheng were not at home today. When they returned home in the evening, they heard that Guan Qishen had come to "trouble" Xuxu, so they immediately ordered the housekeeper to

"From now on, no one from the Guan family will be allowed in."

Then I prepared to go see Xuxu.

He was afraid that Guan’s family would cause his daughter (sister) to suffer again.

As a result, just as he was about to go upstairs, he saw Jiang Xuxu coming down from upstairs holding the little fox, and there was even a tail following behind him, which was rare.

Jiang Su followed her angrily, questioning her,

"What happened to my arm just now? Did you do anything to me? Jiang Xuxu, I advise you to tell the truth!"

"If it weren't for me today, you would have been bullied to death by the Guan family. Weren't you quite aggressive towards us before? You can't say a word to the Guan family? You are bringing shame to our Jiang family!"

Jiang Yucheng looked at Jiang Su pestering Jiang Xuxu and subconsciously frowned, thinking that this kid was looking for trouble with Xuxu again. Just as he was about to speak, he was stopped by Jiang Huai on the side.

Jiang Yucheng paused, but saw that Jiang Huai was just watching with interest.

Jiang Su didn't notice the two people downstairs until Jiang Xuxu finally stopped. He turned his head and looked at them. A moment of guilt flashed across his face, but he quickly calmed down and called for help.

"Uncle, Brother Huai, are you back?"

"Well, what are you talking about?" Jiang Yucheng asked in a deep voice.

Jiang Xuxu was about to speak, but Jiang Su was afraid that she would complain again, so he hurriedly took two steps forward and said,

"Uncle, we were talking about the foster brother of the Guan family who came to our house today. You don't know that he kept using his brother's identity and the Guan family's kindness in raising him to pressure others. I scolded him away."

Jiang Huai raised his eyebrows, "Oh? You are quite amazing."

When Jiang Su heard Jiang Huai praising him, he immediately puffed out his chest with pride, "Of course, don't you see where you are? You are bullying people in my Jiang family's territory, and you don't even consider your own status!"

As Jiang Su spoke, he glanced at Jiang Xuxu again. Seeing that she was listening to him as usual without any gratitude on her face, he felt a little unhappy.

He was kind enough to stand up for her today, but she didn't even thank him the whole afternoon and ignored him when he spoke to her. He is so heartless!

No wonder Sister Xuexi said he shouldn't meddle in other people's business.

This person is not worth helping.

Unable to stop being angry, Jiang Su decided to complain in a different way, "Uncle, Brother Huai, you don't know, right? Jiang Xuxu has a very good relationship with her adopted brother from the Jiang family. She even made a jade token for him herself!"

Hearing that they had a good relationship, Jiang Yucheng subconsciously looked at Jiang Xuxu.

Jiang Xuxu shook his head and said succinctly, "Not good."

Jiang Huai just smiled, "Jade token? Do you mean amulet? I have one too."

As he spoke, he pulled out a red rope from his collar in a low-key yet somewhat ostentatious manner. Hanging on the red rope was a jade plate engraved with runes.

When Jiang Xuxu saw the red jade pendant hanging around his neck, which did not match his noble temperament at all, her eyelashes moved slightly and her almond-shaped eyes seemed to brighten a little, but her face remained calm.

Jiang Su didn't expect that his rare attempt to stir up trouble would fail on the spot. He stared at the jade token, feeling a little sour for some reason, and looked at Jiang Yucheng eagerly.

"Uncle, you have one too?"

Jiang Yucheng pursed his lips, looked at the jade token on his son's neck, then looked at Xuxu, and said in a deep voice, "I don't have it."

Jiang Xuxu was a little surprised, "You have it, I gave it to you."

Jiang Yucheng was startled, a flash of joy flashed across his eyes, and then his brows furrowed quickly, "I didn't receive it."

"Well, I have your piece." Jiang Huai at the side continued, his face not blushing and his heart not beating, "Xu Xu asked me to pass it on, I didn't give it to you."

Jiang Yucheng's face darkened when he heard this. He was about to teach someone a lesson when he heard Jiang Huai say slowly,

"Because my father made a mistake at that time, I temporarily detained the amulet for Xuxu."

As for what the specific mistake was, even if he didn't say it, Jiang Yucheng could guess it. Guilt flashed in his eyes, but he quickly returned to normal, holding up his dignity and saying with a stern face,

"Since Xuxu asked you to hand it over, you can't hide it and keep it privately even if you have objections. Hand it over quickly!"

Jiang Huai shrugged, "It's in my room. I'll give it to you later."

"No, get it now!"

Seeing his old father showing off his power, Jiang Huai stopped resisting and went upstairs to get the jade token. He brought it down soon.

The jade token was still wrapped in the lucky bag and had not been opened. Jiang Yucheng opened it in front of Jiang Xuxu and saw that it was indeed the same jade token as Jiang Huai's. A hint of joy flashed in his eyes, but he still restrained himself and did not show it on his face. He just held it in his hand and touched it again and again.

"Did you carve this yourself? Excellent craftsmanship! I didn't expect Xuxu to have such skills. Dad has received it."

His jade pendant did not have a red string, so Jiang Yucheng carefully put the item back into the lucky bag and put it carefully into his shirt pocket.

Jiang Su looked at Jiang Yucheng's actions with some jealousy in his eyes.

But he didn't know whether he was jealous that his uncle actually liked the gift Jiang Xuxu gave him so much, or that Jiang Xuxu only gave gifts to his family and not to him...

The other side.

After being turned down at the Jiang family, Guan Qishen returned to the ward and saw his parents and Guan Ruirui still waiting in the ward.

When he saw him, Guan's father asked hurriedly, "How is it? Did she agree?"

Guan Qishen shook his head, "Xu Xu has really changed now."

Upon hearing this, Bai Shuqin cursed out loud, "That girl is an ungrateful person! I've said it before! I'd rather ask the master who read our Ruirui's fortune than her!"

Guan Baocheng looked gloomy and a little unhappy. "If I could find it, I would have found it long ago. Do I need you to tell me?"

But ever since Jiang Xuxu's car accident, he has never been able to contact that person again.
