"Grandpa will take you to ask for money later."
"Don't they want to give it to me?"
"If he doesn't give it to me, can't I take it?" An Jingzhi said, "Grandpa will teach you another lesson today."
The two came to the store where An Xiaotao had washed dishes before.
When the boss heard that An Xiaotao was asking for money, he immediately refused.
"You've only worked for one day, why do you want money? Do you know how much you delayed me by not coming to work on time today? I haven't asked you for money yet!"
An Xiaotao was frightened by his boss's aura and mustered up the courage to say, "I worked, why don't you pay me?"
"Hmph! You still have the nerve to say you worked? What kind of work did you do? I washed all day and still didn't do half as much as others! If I wasn't really short of people, do you think I would hire you? A young man like you is so slow at work."
"Get lost, don't delay my business if you don't want to do it."
"You!" An Xiaotao's face flushed. "Just wait for me!"
He turned around and ran to An Jingzhi, complaining aggrievedly. An Jingzhi wanted to teach him a lesson, so he let him go and ask for it first.
"Grandpa, that man is unreasonable. He didn't give me money and told me to get out."
"Let's go." The child still needs exercise.
The boss saw An Xiaotao coming back, this time with an old man.
"You told me to wait, but you're going home to tell your parents?" the boss laughed.
"Brother, I remember you. This is your grandson, right? We agreed on this before, right? This is a summer job, not a temporary job paid daily. I took a risk to take your grandson in to work here, and now it's not even a month's work, and he's asking for money after only working one day?"
"It did say it was a summer job, but I told you I might not be able to do it at any time, and you said it was okay, I could work as long as I could, right?"
"You can't just work for one day!" The boss just didn't want to pay the money.
An Jingzhi saw through it and stopped pestering her. "You don't want the police to find out that you're employing underage workers, do you?"
"Are you threatening me?" the boss replied nonchalantly, "Go ahead and sue me if you can. I don't know who can prove I employed a minor."
"Do you think the police are so idle that they come to deal with your trivial matters every day?"
An Jingzhi smiled and said, "It's not a threat. We don't ask for much. We just want wages. We pay him according to the amount of work he does. It's only natural."
"You may not know this, but I don't have to work. I have a lot of free time every day and can come to your store and sit there every day."
The boss's mouth twitched. Are you proud of not having to work?
"What? Are you involved in gangs?"
An Jingzhi shook his head. "What nonsense are you talking about? I'm a law-abiding citizen, but you know my age."
"I'm surrounded by a group of older guys than me. If they get sick while eating in our restaurant, will your business be affected?"
