Chapter 184 Teachers of the Republic of China 8

After getting Teacher Yue's permission, An Yulan did not move directly to An Jingzhi's residence.

She had been looking for an opportunity to tell An Jingzhi the truth about how he was taken to the island country and his parents were killed.

Today was the perfect time. School was out today, and An Yulan and An Jingzhi were sitting in An Jingzhi's living room, facing each other on the sofa. They talked about some interesting childhood memories, An Yulan talking while An Jingzhi listened.

After taking a sip of the tea on the table, An Yulan's expression suddenly became serious:

"Little brother, do you want to know why you were brought to the island country and why your parents were killed?"

An Jingzhi feigned pain and said in a hoarse voice, "I do, but unfortunately I was too young at the time and don't remember anything. These past few months, after hearing you, sister, talk about our past, I've hated the person who tore our family apart even more!"

An Yulan seemed to have recalled some painful memories, and her tone was filled with hatred. "Little brother, the people who killed my parents and brought you to the island country were all from that island country from the beginning to the end!"

An Yulan told An Jingzhi everything she had seen about the spy training program from beginning to end.

An Jingzhi seemed to find it difficult to accept. After hearing this, his face was filled with shock and fear. "No, it's impossible! How could this be? They were very kind to me. My adoptive parents have always treated me as their own child and have adopted many children like me..." At this point, An Jingzhi paused and continued:

"Children? Yes, it seems my brothers all died on the battlefield..."

"So, this was a scam from beginning to end?"

An Yulan looked at her brother distressedly and said, "Little brother, this is all true. I didn't lie to you. I've been looking for you all these years and I learned this news by accident. At that time, I didn't even think you were captured there to participate in this plan. It was only after you told me your experience that I realized it. These are just a bunch of beasts. From the beginning to the end, they just wanted to turn you into a spy machine, train you, and then let you come back to kill us Chinese people."

"You told me about your physical training course earlier, remember? That wasn't a physical training course at all! That was spy training!"

An Jingzhi's eyes were dull, "I..."

Seeing her brother's pain, An Yulan couldn't help but sit down next to An Jingzhi on the sofa and hugged his head. "Although I don't know how you were able to escape your spy identity and return to China, as far as I know, anyone who comes out of there is either a spy or a dead person. Perhaps you were able to escape because of your relationship with the Emperor."

An Jingzhi didn't speak for a long time, as if he was digesting this huge information in his mind. He held his head with both hands, slid down from the sofa, and squatted down.

In fact, An Yulan had thought about whether everything An Jingzhi told her was a lie and her brother concealed his identity as a spy.

As an older sister, An Yulan absolutely trusts her younger brother, but as a member of the organization, she cannot be so emotional.

She must find out her brother's identity, otherwise, how can An Yulan feel at ease staying with An Jingzhi?

An Jingzhi's eyes were red and his voice was hoarse: "I am just a fool."

"Damn Japanese people! Liars! It's all a scam!"

An Jingzhi became more and more excited as he spoke and couldn't help but stand up, waving his hands in the air as if he wanted to vent something.

"Little brother." An Yulan quickly stood up and hugged An Jingzhi tightly to stop his impulsive behavior.

The living room was quiet for half an hour.

An Jingzhi's calm voice rang out in the room, "Sister, I was thinking of persuading you to go to the island country with me before, but luckily you didn't agree."

An Yulan was about to open her mouth to speak when An Jingzhi's voice came again, "Sister, what is your mission?"

When An Yulan heard this, her pupils shrank and her face stiffened. After a moment, she regained her composure, but a hint of shock still flickered in her eyes. "Little brother, what do you mean by that? What mission?"

An Jingzhi smiled, his emotions seemingly stabilizing. "Sister, do you really think your brother is a fool? Although I've only been in China for less than a year, I'm familiar with all the forces here. The plan you mentioned must be classified, right? If you don't have an identity, how did you get this document information?"

An Yulan wanted to cover it up again. "I asked someone to find the document. If you're curious, I can tell you their contact information. Go ask them yourself."

An Jingzhi changed the question. "Well, even if what you said is true, I've noticed that no matter where you go, you seem to like observing your surroundings. If the training I received was a spy training program, then your behavior seems to be very consistent with the class I took."

When An Yulan opened her mouth to explain again, An Jingzhi interrupted her by raising his hand.

"Sister, you are my only relative in this world. I don't want you to lie to me. If you don't want to tell me, you don't have to. I'm asking you just to help you. No matter who you are, you are my sister. If there is anything you need my help with, please feel free to ask. I will never refuse you."

An Yulan's heart was filled with shock and her eyes darkened. "Jingzhi, you will always be my brother."

After a pause, An Yulan came and said, "You won't lie to your sister, right?"

An Jingzhi nodded affirmatively, his eyes full of determination and trust.

Thinking of her own position, An Yulan whispered, "Are you a spy from the island country?"

An Jingzhi blurted out, "No."

An Yulan looked at the other party's unwavering gaze, not knowing whether she believed it or not, and stopped talking about the topic. An Jingzhi also stopped asking about the other party's mission.

As if she had thought of something, An Yulan brought up another matter. She stood up, smoothed the wrinkles of her cheongsam, and chuckled, "Haven't you always wanted me to move here? Let's go? Let's go back and pack our bags. We can still catch up with tomorrow's classes."

An Jingzhi stood up, revealing a row of dazzling teeth, his eyes sparkling with light.

An Yulan didn't actually have much stuff, just a few sets of clothes, some toiletries, and a few books, which filled up two boxes.

After saying hello to his colleagues in the dormitory, he walked downstairs with his suitcases. An Jingzhi was waiting for him there. When he saw An Yulan coming out, he hurried forward and took the two boxes from her hands.

"Two rickshaws are called at the door. Let's go, sister."

After they returned, they cleaned the room together. An Jingzhi was too lazy and hardly cleaned the guest room. Except for asking someone to help him clean it on the first day he moved in, he basically didn't take care of it afterwards, and a thin layer of dust had already accumulated.
