Chapter 484: The Favorite Fellow Villager

Country M.

Mr. Qi hurried into the office with a stack of data, and his assistant knocked on the door and came in.

"Mr. Qi, something happened." The assistant looked worried. He closed the door and whispered, "Another person disappeared yesterday."

Old Qi paused and frowned immediately. Last week, an old researcher from the medical team disappeared, and now another person is missing.

"Did the police find anything?"

The assistant shook his head: "No."

If the disappearance of the person last week was an accident, then the accident now was intentional.

Qi Lao narrowed his eyes and ordered, "Go find Officer Ryan to investigate."

"By the way, where is Zhongyiren?" Mr. Qi felt like he hadn't seen him all day.

"Zhong Yi went out this morning and said some fellow villagers were coming."

"Fellow villager?" Mr. Qi was a little confused.

Who else from Jiang City would come to Country M?

The assistant wasn't quite sure either. He scratched his head and said, "I'm not sure. Zhong Yi seemed to say he was a basketball player and a sports person."

Qi Lao narrowed his eyes and said, "Alright, find Zhong Yi back. Don't let him go out during this period. Also, check the background of that fellow villager."

"Okay, I'll go right away."

A downtown area in Country M.

In a simple coffee shop, Zhong Yi was sitting on a chair eating ice cream. Opposite him sat a tall and thin boy with a not very fair complexion and handsome features.

"Jia Wei, when did you come here?" Zhong Yi asked after taking a bite of ice cream.

Jia Wei glanced around and said, "Well, it's been quite a while since I came here."

He lowered his head and took a sip of coffee before continuing, "I was playing in a basketball game at school and was spotted by a foreign coach, so I came here."

"Oh, I see." Zhong Yi nodded, "Then you are quite amazing."

Jia Wei smiled and said, "No, by the way, are you studying abroad?"

Since Chen Qing left Jiang City, he hasn't seen Zhong Yi again. Zhong Yi has changed a lot. She has grown taller and is much more handsome than before.

"Oh, yes, I go to a private school." Zhong Yi answered with a smile. His membership in the medical team had not been announced to the public.

"Oh, so private schools abroad are very expensive, right?"

Zhong Yi narrowed his eyes and smiled: "Fortunately, my sister is rich."

Jia Wei paused, thinking of the identities that Shen Qing had exposed on the Internet, he was indeed not short of money.

Zhong Yi lowered his head and saw the message sent to him by Mr. Qi.

[Old Man Qi: Stop running around outside, you little brat! Come back home quickly! I've asked my assistant to pick you up. Send me your location.]

Zhong Yi curled her lips and sent out the location reluctantly.

Seeing Zhong Yi's little expression, Jia Wei smiled and said, "What's wrong with you? What message did someone send you?"

"Oh, the teacher urged me to go back to school."

"Well, let's go back. Where is your school? I'll take you back first." With that, Jia Wei stood up.

Zhong Yi paused for a moment and quickly declined: "That's not necessary. You must be tired from training every day. I can take a taxi back by myself."

"Hey, where is your training place? How about I take a taxi to take you there first, and then I'll go back to school. My sister has money anyway." Zhong Yi said with a smile.

"That's not necessary. You should go back first, so as not to delay the time and make the teacher angry." Jia Wei glanced at Zhong Yi and said earnestly, "Zhong Yi, it's not easy for the boss to make money, so you should spend it sparingly."

Zhong Yi was stunned for two seconds, then nodded and said, "Okay."

The two separated quickly, and in the alley at the corner of the street, Zhong Yi saw the assistant's car.

"I've only been out for a short time, and you're already rushing me." Zhong Yi sat in the back seat.

The assistant smiled, started the car, and said with a smile: "This period of time is quite special, and Mr. Qi is doing this for your own good."

The car drove out of the corner and onto the road. The assistant looked at the pedestrians on the road and saw a tall boy in a jacket. He had a typical Chinese appearance and stood out in the crowd.

"Is that your fellow villager?" asked the assistant.

Zhong Yi glanced at it and said, "Yeah."

"I think you all look very handsome."

Zhong Yi raised his eyebrows: “That’s it!”

The assistant smiled and quickened his pace.

Jia Wei raised his eyes, three wrinkles appeared on his forehead. He glanced at the black car passing by, turned around and got into the car next to him.
