Chapter 1 Time Travel

After a year and a half of development, the space no longer feels desolate. While it can't be described as teeming with life, it exudes a sense of hope for life. In the center of the ten acres is a lake about half an acre in size, surrounded by streams. Next to the fruit trees is a small pond with duckweed and aquatic plants floating on it, where some animals are raised to prevent pollution of the lake. Although the lake seems to purify itself, it still makes me feel better. On the other side of the lake is a planting area where various grains and vegetables are grown.

This place is called Xin County, a small county in the southern province, much like Hunan Province in the 21st century. Liu Yun grew up in the countryside of Hunan Province, so she recognized the wild vegetables.

When she first transmigrated, she was always hungry, and even the smallest bit of good food was rarely available to her. She had no money in her pocket, and was constantly weak and dizzy. So, as soon as school was over, she would run to the mountains on the outskirts of the city to find wild vegetables. She would fill two-thirds of the vegetables in her space, and take the rest home. Then she would cook, either sweet potato rice or potato rice, and occasionally, while cooking, she would secretly plant a few potatoes or sweet potatoes in her space.

Because sweet potatoes are grown from sweet potato seedlings, and potatoes have a short growth cycle, regardless of the size of the harvest, the results can be seen quickly. Therefore, Liu Yun solved her hunger problem in less than three months after transmigrating. Not to mention eating well, at least being full was not a problem.

Before transmigrating, Liu Yun was just an ordinary person, and after transmigrating, she remained just an ordinary person. She didn't have the courage to venture into the black market like the heroines in novels, nor did she have the ration coupons to buy grain seeds. She could only gather some wild vegetables from the surrounding mountains and plant a few things that could be grown in her space when cooking at home or when buying grain each month to achieve self-sufficiency.

However, by buying grain for Liu's mother and exchanging it for crops in her spatial dimension, Liu Yun still managed to earn some savings. Within a year, she also managed to exchange some animals and seeds at the market of the suburban production team.

In just over a year, the space now boasts not only year-round vegetables and fruit trees, but also over twenty fully grown chickens, over thirty fully grown ducks, about ten geese, and six pairs of rabbits. Not to mention the more than sixty fluffy chicks and ducks that have just hatched, and the six female rabbits also have babies. A while ago, we were particularly lucky and even encountered a few quails. They're easy to raise, and it shouldn't be long before we have quail eggs.

For more than a year, because he wanted to make some capital but dared not speculate, he tried every means to get money from Liu's mother.

She's no longer the emaciated original owner of this body. She's not completely invisible at home anymore. Although she doesn't have a say, she doesn't have to do all the work either.

Since Liu's mother couldn't ask her two sons and father to do it, she could only ask her eldest daughter to share some of the work. Liu Jing had said a lot of sarcastic things to Liu Yun about this, but she didn't think it was too much of a problem when she saw the things Liu Yun had brought to the house.

Thinking about the changes she had made over the past year, she felt more confident in changing the original owner's fate. She couldn't give up her job, and she couldn't go to the countryside either. She had grown up in the countryside, and even in the 21st century, rural work was so hard, let alone in this day and age. So going to the countryside was absolutely impossible. After thinking these things through, Liu Yun was no longer as panicked as she had been when she first found out she had transmigrated into the book. Once she had figured it out, she went to sleep.
