Having made their plans, the group started packing their luggage, intending to go to Shanghai first, as it was closer.
There aren't many things I need to bring, but I must first tidy up my house.
After all, the wedding banquet was held not long ago, and there are all sorts of things in the house, food and household items are everywhere. If it is not dealt with properly, when they come back after more than a month of vacation, the house will smell of rotting things and all kinds of mushrooms.
After tidying up and organizing everything at home, the family of nine boarded the train to Shanghai.
This trip was quite long, taking nearly 20 hours, so the group mostly brought food and snacks. Liu Yun even brought a deck of cards.
Even in the sleeper compartment, the carriage was still like an oven in late July. It was afternoon, and even with the windows open, the wind blowing in was hot.
Everyone was looking dejected, so Liu Yun took out the playing cards and used suitcases to make a makeshift table. The four adults started playing cards, while the five children watched and ate snacks.
Fortunately, most of the trip was at night, so it got cooler after the sun went down.
When they arrived at their destination the next morning, although they were exhausted, they couldn't hide the excitement in their eyes.
After all, this is Shanghai! Shanghai, a city that has always been known for its bustling and prosperous atmosphere.
As soon as you step out of the train station, you can feel the liveliness here; it's even more bustling than Guangzhou.
"Sister! Do you need a place to stay?"
"Come stay with me, it's cheap and just as good as a hotel."
Do you need to rent a car?
"Renting a car! Where are you going, sis?"
"Three-wheeled vehicles! Three-wheeled vehicles!"
Seeing the crowded scene, Liu Yun and Yu's mother pulled Dangdang and An'an forward quickly, while Tuantuan, Yuanyuan, and Beibei followed behind with their own things.
Yu Qianhe led the way with the luggage, since none of them had been here before except for Yu Qianhe, while Yu's father brought up the rear with the luggage.
After leaving the crowded area, Liu Yun finally breathed a sigh of relief. "Where to go next?"
Yu Qianhe: "Let's find a hotel first! The house we bought is a bit far from their school, so let's find a hotel in the city center!"
Liu Yun had no objections, "Okay."
When Yu's parents heard that the couple owned a house, they were a little surprised, but they only glanced at the couple and didn't say anything.
After all, they knew the two men's abilities and personalities. Even if they hadn't bought a house before, they would still have one after some time.
After all, they've been traveling all over the southern province for the past two years, and whenever they see a suitable house or shop, they just buy it. They've already bought so many.
Most people go out and buy whatever they like, but these two would buy a courtyard house whenever they saw a place they liked.
Anyway, since the two of them had money from running factories and shops, they didn't say much more.
In fact, Liu Yun's parents only knew that Liu Yun and Liu Jing had jointly opened a clothing store and a clothing factory, but they did not know that she was also involved in the transportation company.
They were unaware that the couple had both invested in the electronics factory; they only knew that Yu Qianhe had invested in an electronics shop, but they didn't know that the products in the shop were actually produced in the factory that the couple had invested in.
Although they were unaware of these things, the money earned from their clothing store and factory business was enough for their parents to turn a blind eye to their children's shopping sprees, pretending they knew nothing and refraining from criticizing them. After all, they weren't pretending to be rich and unable to afford such things.
The buses at the train station were the most crowded. Although the tricycles were a bit more expensive, they were much more comfortable than squeezing onto the bus in the sweltering heat. So the group got on a tricycle.
We went straight to the largest hotel in the city center, picked up the letter of introduction, and checked into a room.
Liu Yun originally planned to book two multi-person rooms, but Yu Qianhe booked a twin room and three double rooms.
"I'm sorry, men and women cannot stay together."
Upon hearing this, Yu Qianhe pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket, "This is our marriage certificate. We have a child with us. Could you please arrange for us to be together?"
The receptionist glanced at the marriage certificate and returned it to Yu Qianhe. "Okay, three king-size beds and one twin room, right? We've booked it for you. The twin room is right across from the king-size rooms. Here's the key, is that alright?"
Yu Qianhe: "Okay, thank you."
"You're welcome."
Liu Yun was speechless at Qian He's casual act of carrying his marriage certificate with him.
Liu Yun: "How are we supposed to stay here?!"
Yu Qianhe: "The two of us, Mom and Dad, Yu Ling and Yu Nan will stay in the double room, and Bei Bei, An An and Dang Dang will stay in the twin room."
Liu Yun: "Dangdang and An'an are still so young, is Beibei up to the task?"
Yu Qianhe: "They're all so grown up, what can't they do? They're not allowed to go out at night anyway, and the door is locked tight. Everyone's across the street, so what's there to worry about? Or Beibei can stay in the double room, and An'an and Dangdang can stay with the two of us."
Liu Yun: "Why don't you stay with us?"
Beibei: "No, I don't want to live alone."
Dangdang hugged Beibei tightly, saying, "I want to live with my sister."
Liu Yun didn't say anything after seeing this, since Yu Qianhe was right, the room was right across from theirs, so there was nothing wrong with it.
Besides, they themselves are happy to live together.
"Alright! But you two have to listen to your older sister, understand?"
Dangdang/An'an: "I know."
Liu Yun: "Alright! Let's go inside and rest for a bit first! We'll go out to eat later."
After returning to the room and quickly washing up, the group went out. It had been hot and stuffy on the train during the day, and everyone had sweated a lot. They all felt sticky or smelled a bit sweaty, so they needed to shower to feel comfortable.
