Chapter 127 Registration

After buying the house, the next step was to pack Beibei's luggage and daily necessities. However, she didn't need to buy many things, and she didn't plan to live outside. After all, she was alone and a girl, so it wasn't safe.

I bought a lot of clothes in Shanghai and brought some over, but most of them were shipped and are still en route.

So all she needs to buy is a quilt and daily necessities. As for winter quilts and clothes, Liu Yun plans to send them to her as soon as she gets back.

When school started, there were noticeably more people in Beijing. A few people took Beibei to register a day in advance and helped her make her bed.

I was pretty lucky; my dorm room was on the second floor, and it was an eight-person room.

Liu Yun: "Beibei, which bed will you be staying in, the top bunk or the bottom bunk? If it's the top bunk, you need to be careful not to fall, and it's not very convenient to rest because you have to climb up and down. The bottom bunk is more convenient, but it might get a bit dirtier, since people will definitely come to your bed to sit or rest."

Liu Yun explained the shortcomings of both places to her, since none of them had ever lived in a dormitory before.

Mother: "Beibei, it's safer to sleep on the lower bunk. The beds in the dormitory are too narrow. You've never slept on one before. It's not safe to sleep on the upper bunk."

Beibei: "But I want to sleep on the top bunk. I can't stand people sitting on my bed. If they are clean, it's fine, but if they are not, I can't even refuse. And if the person on the top bunk is not clean, they will walk around on my bed every day. Just thinking about it makes my head ache."

Liu Yun: "Then sleep on the top bunk. Just put this mattress underneath. It's not very high, and there's a little railing. Try to sleep on the inside side in the future. If you're careful, there won't be any problems. You go up first, and I'll go get a basin of water so you can wipe yourself down in a bit."

Yu Qianhe: "Okay."

Liu Yun: "Put this mat downstairs and stick it on. If you want to sleep on a cooling mat, go downstairs and buy one later."

Beibei: "I don't sleep on a bamboo mat, I don't like it."

Liu Yun: "Okay."

Liu Yun and Yu Qian helped make the bed and hang the curtains and mosquito net, while Yu's parents helped clean the dormitory. Bei Bei packed her luggage herself.

Liu Yun: "Alright, keep the cabinet key safe. I've also put a key to the courtyard house in your suitcase, just in case. Don't tell anyone it's from somewhere else. Come with us to the hotel tonight, and don't stay in a hotel alone tomorrow after we leave, understand?"

Beibei: "Mmm, don't worry, I know."

The next morning, after breakfast, no matter how reluctant they were, they had to leave. Liu Yun felt okay, after all, she had been living in a dormitory since she was twelve, and had been working alone during winter and summer vacations since she was fifteen.

Yu Qianhe, on the other hand, transformed into a nagging old father, saying, "If you encounter any trouble or are bullied, go find Uncle Qi and the others, you know? They're the ones who took you out to eat the other day, do you remember their family?"

Beibei: "I remember, Dad, don't worry!"

Yu Qianhe: "Call me if you need anything, and I'll find a way to solve it for you. You can also call me when you don't need anything. We don't lack money, so don't be stingy with it. Call me if you run out of money."

Beibei: "Okay, okay."

Liu Yun: "Alright, we should go now, or we'll miss our train."

Beibei: "Dad, I understand. I won't make myself suffer. Let's leave quickly! Otherwise we'll miss the train, and my brother and the others still need to register."

Beibei really didn't know why her dad had suddenly become like this. She had never noticed it before and was having a hard time accepting it.

Yu Qianhe: "Well, you should go back to school too!"

Seeing the father and daughter's reluctant farewell—no, it was Yu Qian and Yu Qian's one-sided reluctance—Liu Yun felt a bit of a toothache.

I really don't know why Yu Qian has such a strong bias towards his daughters, whether it's Beibei or Dangdang.

In his eyes, his daughter was always obedient and gentle. As for when his daughter pinned down the bully in her class and beat him up until he cried for his parents, he chose to turn a blind eye.

Still no money? Then this great-aunt probably has more savings than her grandmother.

No matter how reluctant we are, we still have to leave. The ones we'll miss the most are Yu Qian, An An, and Dang Dang.

Knowing that their sister wasn't going back with them, both of them were dejected. They barely managed to keep themselves from crying because of their strong sense of pride. When they learned that their two brothers wouldn't be going back with them in a few days either, they became very unhappy and each held onto one of their brothers' hands tightly, refusing to let go.

After another day and night on the train, we finally arrived in Shanghai. The group went to the hotel to rest for a while before going to the school to register in the afternoon.

Having the experience of registering Beibei, registering Tuantuan and Yuanyuan went much more smoothly.

Liu Yun and Yu's parents took Dangdang and Beibei to help the two register, while Yu Qianhe went back to pack his luggage.

The two were lucky because they applied for the same major and were assigned to the same class and the same dormitory.

However, their dorm room was on the fifth floor, and there were already people inside, but perhaps because it was afternoon, they weren't in the dorm room; all that could be seen was that the beds had been made.

Liu Yun: "Are you two planning to both sleep on the top bunk, or one of you sleep on the top bunk and the other on the bottom bunk?"

Tuantuan: "Let's all sleep on the top bunks! Let's all sleep together here!"

Liu Yun: "Okay, you guys go up, I'll go get some water."

When faced with the joys and sorrows of family, Yu Qianhe's fatherly heart softened. Although he was busy taking care of everything, he wouldn't do it all himself. It was impossible for him to make the bed for the two of them.

After the two had finished packing their luggage, their roommates still hadn't returned.
