Chapter 14: Proposal

Seeing Liu Yun gradually bring back clothes, shoes, skirts, ceramic basins, and ceramic cups, Liu's mother kept scolding her for being a spendthrift. Despite her complaints, she still obediently helped her pack.

Unexpectedly, after packing, including the quilts and shoes made by Liu's mother, there were six boxes, two more than Liu Jing's. Looking at the things in the space, she suddenly realized that she had bought a lot of things in the past two years.

However, the money didn't decrease. With the money from selling jobs, they had over six hundred in savings. This was mainly because Liu Jing provided a lot of the fabric for the clothes, and the department store often had defective products. Their department was often among the first to be allocated these items and had internal pricing, so they could often find good deals.

Later, she learned that there were often social gatherings and private sales events between the factories, where she could often find decent defective products. She would buy these things regardless of whether she needed them herself, as long as her family could use them. She would then give them to her mother and Liu Jing, as they would make sure she didn't lose out on the money they gave her.

The items inside the space don't require any cost. Although she takes a lot home, Liu's mother still gives her money. Although she is supposed to pay ten yuan a month for living expenses, Liu's mother gives her no less than twenty yuan a month just because she takes things home. It's a business with no capital.

After Liu Jing gave birth, she would send some eggs every week, and sometimes a duck or a rabbit, as well as vegetables and fruits. Because she didn't want money, Liu Jing kept making clothes for her and stuffing fabric into her clothes.

Her large suitcase of clothes didn't actually cost much. Few pieces were bought, some were made from flawed fabric, but most were either made or bought by Liu Jing, or Liu Jing provided the fabric and her mother made them. The bulk of the clothes were two wool coats, one given to Liu Jing by Xiao Zhihua after she finished her postpartum period, and the other by Yu Qianhe. So she really didn't spend much money.

Therefore, even though I kept buying things, I still managed to save money.

Neither the rabbit nor the other family suspected why she delivered eggs and poultry so frequently. It was because Xinshi was adjacent to the neighboring city, which had large-scale poultry farms, while Xinshi mainly raised fish and shrimp. These farms supplied Liu Jing's food processing plant. However, Liu Jing wasn't in the purchasing department and wasn't familiar with them, so she didn't have the connections.
