Upon hearing the sound, Gu Chen looked at Ye Ruan and strode towards her.
He habitually reached out and ruffled her hair. "Let's go home."
"How did you know I was here?" Ye Ruan couldn't help but ask, somewhat puzzled.
"After school, you don't go home or stay in the classroom. Besides the lab, where else can you go?" Gu Chen asked, looking at her with a smile in his eyes that seemed to hold the entire Milky Way.
"I can also go to Yan Yan's milk tea shop," Ye Ruan muttered softly.
Gu Chen heard his words, and a doting smile appeared on his lips. He then handed her a cup of still-warm milk tea with his other hand, saying, "Here you go."
Ye Ruan took it with some surprise and took a sip. It was silky smooth and fragrant, just like the milk tea she had drunk in Gu Chen's office before.
Having finally tasted the milk tea she'd been longing for, her beautiful eyes sparkled with joy, making her exceptionally pretty.
While enjoying her drink, she asked, "Where did you buy this milk tea? I tried all the flavors at Yan Yan's shop before, but I didn't find any that tasted like yours."
Looking at her satisfied smile, Gu Chen felt an indescribable tenderness in his heart. "That shop is a bit far. I'll make some preparations in the next couple of days and move it outside your school so you can drink whenever you want."

Ye Ruan's eyes crinkled into crescent moons with laughter, her radiant face brimming with contentment.
After the two returned to the small apartment together, Gu Chen put on an apron and brought out the dishes that had already been prepared from the kitchen.
While eating, Ye Ruan couldn't help but wonder why Gu Chen suddenly appeared in her life and into her world, and she didn't feel uncomfortable at all. On the contrary, she felt very used to it, so much so that she felt as if her life was always supposed to be like this, and she even felt as if they had been living together like this for decades.
After dinner, Ye Ruan settled on the sofa to watch a movie as usual, while Gu Chen busied himself tidying up.
He had taken off his suit jacket and was only wearing a black apron over his white shirt, with the sleeves rolled up high to reveal his well-defined, muscular forearms.
He looked so aloof, and he seemed completely detached from worldly affairs, let alone household chores.
Yet he is so efficient and skillful at housework, whether it's washing dishes, mopping the floor, or throwing dirty clothes into the washing machine, he does it all very well.
After he finished, he washed up, changed into his pajamas, and snuggled up on the sofa with Ye Ruan to watch a movie.
Ye Ruan tilted her head back slightly, looking at his face from a bottom-up perspective, and asked, "Do you like doing housework?"
Gu Chen chuckled at her question and casually pinched her cheek. "Nobody likes doing housework."
He was just willing to do these things for her.
Ye Ruan looked at him seriously and said, "If you don't like it, then let's use your company's robots to do the housework."
Gu Chen adjusted his position while holding her, making her more comfortable in his arms. "Didn't you say that food made by robots lacks soul, and that the furniture arranged by robots lacks human warmth?"
Ye Ruan frowned slightly. She thought about it carefully again and again. Had she said that?
When she visited the Gu family, it seems she thought about this in her heart, but she didn't seem to say it out loud at the time.

Ye Ruan ate her breakfast while looking at the sticky note left by Gu Chen.
After finishing breakfast, she unpacked the two boxes by the door, revealing two adorable robots. She programmed them and then went to school with peace of mind.
After Gu Chen went on his business trip, Ye Ruan lived a peaceful life, going back and forth between two points. Because of the two robots, she didn't feel that Gu Chen's business trip had much of an impact on her.
The only regret was that Gu Chen didn't tell her which milk tea shop she bought it from.
On the fifth day after Gu Chen left, she felt that she really, really missed the taste of the milk tea he bought. So, after watching a movie by herself for a while out of boredom, she went to Yu Yanyan's milk tea shop.
The shop assistant, Xiao Liuzi, was already very familiar with her. When he saw her come in, he immediately gave her a milk tea made with a recipe personally prepared by their boss.
He didn't tell Ye Ruan that, apart from her and their boss, no one else drank the milk tea that their boss personally prepared.
As Ye Ruan was sipping her milk tea, pondering why there could be such a big difference between different milk teas, Yu Yanyan's dazzling red Phantom pulled up outside the shop.
When Yu Yanyan entered the store and saw Ye Ruan, she gave her a big hug.
