"Now you can tell me where you want to go," Gu Qing said, turning to Ye Ruan after leading her deeper into the garden.
Ye Ruan stared intently at her with her clear, bright eyes and uttered two words, "Ancestral Hall."
She had just considered taking action against Gu Qing. After knocking Gu Qing unconscious, she could do whatever she wanted in this garden.
But in the end, she chose to believe Gu Qing.
Because she wasn't confident she could walk out of the garden alone, and because she trusted her judgment, she knew Gu Qing genuinely wanted to pledge allegiance to Gu Chen.
A flicker of hesitation crossed Gu Qing's eyes as she looked at Ye Ruan, but it only lasted a moment before her gaze hardened. She nodded at Ye Ruan and said, "Okay, I'll take you there!"
“However, I can only take you to the outer perimeter of the ancestral hall. The layout inside is even more dangerous than this garden, so be prepared,” Gu Qing said solemnly.
Ye Ruan nodded. "I know."
Gu Qing led her through the garden, and she silently memorized every step they took.

Ye Ruan and Gu Qing looked to the side at the same time and saw Gu Chen walking out from another road leading to the ancestral hall.
Gu Qing glanced at Gu Chen and Qiu Shun, then at Ye Ruan. From the conversation between Qiu Shun and Ye Ruan just now, it was clear that Qiu Shun didn't know where Ye Ruan was going.
Ye Ruan deliberately told her that she was going to the ancestral hall only after they had walked deep into the garden, which clearly meant that she was keeping what she was going to do from Gu Chen.
But when Gu Chen arrived, he didn't ask anything and simply chose to believe her.
Gu Qing looked at Ye Ruan with a hint of envy in her eyes.
She glanced at Gu Chen and said, "Since you've already made an appointment, I won't interfere anymore. I'll be leaving now."
After Gu Qing left, Ye Ruan was feeling uneasy, but Gu Chen directly reached out his hand to her, "Come on, I'll take you inside."
Ye Ruan was slightly taken aback when she saw Gu Chen's outstretched hand, and she looked at Gu Chen in surprise.
In the end, she still offered him her hand.
However, just as Gu Chen was about to lead her into the ancestral hall, she stopped, grabbed his hand, and looked at him earnestly, saying, "I don't want to go in."

Ye Ruan let Gu Chen hold her hand and silently followed behind him back to their small courtyard.
