Chapter 19 Big Pot Tells Stories

Su Miaodi's body trembled involuntarily. She mechanically turned around and saw Su Ruanruan holding her tattered rag doll rabbit in her arms, looking at them with a blank expression.

Her pupils dilated instantly. How could this be?

She clearly received a message from her mother that Su Ruanruan had been dealt with, so how could she possibly be back?

She couldn't believe it at all!

When Su Yiqing saw Su Ruanruan, her expression softened instantly. She took two steps over, picked up the little girl, and gently squeezed her two bare little feet. "Ruanruan, why did you come out without shoes?"

Su Ruanruan rubbed her eyes with her chubby little hands. "When Ruanruan was sleeping, she heard Sister Miaomiao crying, and she rushed out to see her sister, so she forgot to put on her shoes!"

Su Ruanruan tilted her head and looked at Su Yiqing, "Is Big Brother unhappy?"

She reached out her little hand and covered Su Yiqing's slightly furrowed brow. "Don't be sad, big brother. The director said that people age faster when they're unhappy!"

"Ruanruan doesn't want Daguoguo to get old."

Su Yiqing's heart softened completely, and all the unpleasantness from before vanished in an instant.

He reached out and gently pinched Su Ruanruan's little nose. "Big Brother forgets all his unhappiness when he sees Ruanruan!"

Su Ruanruan then smiled happily.

She looked at Su Yiqing, then at Su Miao, "What's wrong, Sister Miao Miao?"

Su Miao had just recovered from her shock. Her eyes were still red and swollen from crying, and her face was somewhat pale.

But she still managed a forced smile, "Ruanruan is back, that's great."

Su Ruanruan blinked her big eyes, a hint of disappointment on her small face. "I'm sorry, Sister Miaomiao, Ruanruan couldn't bring those two puppies back to raise."

"It turns out that the two puppies belonged to those two bad uncles. Ruan Ruan tried to catch the puppies, but the bad uncles caught her instead."

Su Yiqing's sharp gaze swept over Su Miao.

If Su Miao asked Ruan Ruan to catch the dog, which led to Ruan Ruan's kidnapping, then Su Miao's sleep-talking becomes even more worthy of consideration.

Su Miao gritted her teeth secretly, a flash of hatred crossing her eyes. Under Su Yiqing's scrutinizing gaze, she was about to explain.

Su Yiqing said, "Miaomiao, go back and rest."

Su Yiqing held the little dumpling in her arms and took her to the room.

The little dumpling was wearing pink bunny pajamas, and her princess bed was also a soft pink.

All of these things were bought specifically for her by Su Yiqing.

Su Yiqing may seem like a cold, hardworking machine, but deep down he's a little princess with a very straight-male aesthetic sense. He thinks that a cute little dumpling like Su Ruanruan should wear a soft pink.

Therefore, ever since Su Ruanruan returned to the Su family, she has basically been bound by the pink theme.

Su Yiqing watched the pink little dumpling rolling around on the pink bed, and his heart softened. He sat down by the bed and asked, "Ruanruan, do you want your big brother to tell you a story to lull you to sleep?"

Su Ruanruan tilted her little head, blinking her big eyes at her brother, "What stories will Big Brother tell?"

Su Yiqing was stumped by the question. He had just seen the little dumpling rolling around on the pink bed and found it so adorable that he blurted out the story.

But if you really ask him to tell a story...

He asked the little dumpling somewhat awkwardly, "Would Ruanruan like to hear the story of Cinderella?"

"I want to hear it!" Su Ruanruan's eyes crinkled with laughter. She had lived two lives, before and after her transmigration, but this was the first time someone had told her a story to lull her to sleep.

"Once upon a time, there was a very lovely girl. She was not only smart and beautiful but also kind-hearted. This girl did not have a mother because her mother had passed away when she was young."

The girl's father married a new mother, who brought two new older sisters with her.

..."

Su Yiqing told the story slowly and awkwardly.

The deep, magnetic voice was indeed very soothing, and Su Ruanruan fell asleep in no time.

Looking at the little dumpling sleeping soundly, Su Yiqing couldn't help but reach out and gently stroke her soft little face, whispering, "Goodnight, little sister."

He quietly got up, and Su Ruanruan opened her eyes with difficulty, her voice soft and sleepy, "Big brother, An'an..."

After saying that, he closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Su Yiqing's smile softened even more unconsciously.

The next morning, Su Ruanruan had just gotten up when the maid outside pushed the door open and came in.

"Oh, Auntie Xiang, why are you here so early?" The little dumpling sat on the bed with a smile, tilting its little head, looking so cute that it almost melted Xiang's heart.

Ah Xiang suppressed the urge to pet the little dumpling, and while helping the little dumpling choose clothes from the dressing room, she said, "Miss, the young master asked me to take care of your daily life from now on. You can tell me if you have any needs. I will also stand guard at the door every day and help you get dressed when you wake up."

The little dumpling nodded her head excitedly, "Okay then, thank you Auntie for helping Ruanruan get dressed!"

Although she knows how to dress herself, it's really difficult for her to put on clothes now that she has short arms, and she can't even dress neatly.

In the past few days, she had dressed herself and then asked Ah Xiang or other maids to help her tidy up after going downstairs.

Now, her older brother has assigned Ah Xiang to take care of her, and he does a good job of dressing her every day.

"You're welcome. Ah Xiang really enjoys dressing up the young lady!" Ah Xiang quickly replied.
