Chapter 439 The most important thing is to be happy.

The next morning, Xiao Ruanruan was still half asleep and hadn't gotten out of bed yet when she saw her older sister bustling around the room.

She rubbed her eyes with her chubby little hands, opened her bright, watery eyes, and her baby voice, still a little hoarse from just waking up, asked, "Sister, what are you doing?"

Susie placed a tray on the bedside table and said proudly, "Your hardworking sister has already gotten up and made breakfast herself. Hurry up and get up, wash up, and have breakfast."

Upon hearing this, Xiao Ruanruan was so frightened that she jumped up in a flash.

Staring at a plate of dark, round lumps on the tray, and a bowl of rice porridge with an unidentified black substance floating on it.

She forced a smile. "Sister, actually, the breakfasts Grandma Qin's cook makes are quite delicious, we don't need to..." make them ourselves...

Before Xiao Ruanruan could finish speaking, Su Qianqian had already left the room like a gust of wind. After she left, her voice still echoed in the room, "Xiao Ruanruan, get up and eat quickly, I'm going to take some to the little mute!"

Little Ruanruan was somewhat helpless.

After getting up and washing up, I swallowed hard as I looked at the breakfast my sister brought me. In the end, I decided to try it anyway, since my sister had gotten up early that morning to make it herself.

She held a dark, round lump in her left hand and a spoon in her right.

After hesitating for a moment, I scooped up a spoonful of porridge and put it in my mouth. At least I could still see the ingredients in the porridge.

but……

The moment it enters your mouth, a burnt taste fills your mouth.

Little Ruanruan swallowed it with difficulty, and mustered up the courage to try the dark, round lump.

With one bite, only two teeth marks remained.

With another bite, I finally managed to bite through it, but the bitten-off piece stuck to my teeth...

However, you can still taste the wheat flavor inside these round lumps. Hmm, it seems to be a steamed bun after all!

However, not only did the dough not rise at all, but the main problem was that the outside of the steamed bun was dry and hard, while the inside was still raw!

Little Ruanruan sighed. It wasn't that she was disrespecting her older sister, it was just that...

Sigh, she'll just have to wait and eat the chef's breakfast!

After asking the aunt from the Qin family who was taking care of her to take away the breakfast her sister had brought, she went outside and happened to run into the little brother and Su Lei. Both of them were also carrying a tray, and the contents of the tray were exactly the same as those that Su Qianqian had brought to Xiao Ruanruan.

Similarly, they only tried it once before serving it out exactly as it was.

After Su Xiaowu and Su Lei handed the tray to the maid, Su Lei politely apologized, "Auntie, we're sorry to have troubled you. I will make sure to tell Qianqian to stay away from the kitchen in the future so she won't cause you any more trouble or waste food."

"Okay, okay, thank you so much, young man," the aunt said repeatedly.

Although she quite liked Su Xixi, that lively little girl, she still broke out in a cold sweat when she thought about the terrifying scene in the kitchen this morning.

While it's certainly a bit difficult to ask a six-year-old girl to make breakfast, it's quite remarkable that she managed to cook just plain rice porridge and steam some buns without using a single drop of oil, and almost burned the kitchen down.

Su Xiaowu and Su Lei looked at Xiao Ruanruan and asked in unison, "Xiao Ruanruan, where's your sister?"

Little Ruanruan blinked her beautiful, obsidian-like eyes and said, "My sister said she's going to deliver breakfast to Brother Qin Huan."

Su Lei immediately frowned, his face grim, and ran towards the small courtyard where Qin Huan lived.

Su Xiaowu scratched the back of his head in confusion, "Qianqian just went to deliver breakfast to Qin Huan, why is Lei'er so excited?"

Little Ruanruan spread out her two soft, white hands, looking completely bewildered. "Ruanruan doesn't know where to go either."

Su Xiaowu and Xiao Ruanruan chased after them.

Qin Huan's door was open. Standing outside, Xiao Ruanruan saw Qin Huan eating a black, round dumpling and a sip of porridge with great relish.

While eating, he praised Su Xixi, "Xixi, you're so amazing! You can kill rabbits and make breakfast."

Susie proudly tossed her head back and said, "Of course, I'm a genius girl."

"Little mute, if you think it's delicious, eat more. I didn't know you couldn't eat spicy food yesterday, and you fainted from it. I feel really bad about that."

Qin Huan smiled and said, "It's okay. I didn't even know I couldn't eat spicy food before. But I can slowly learn to eat spicy food in the future."

"If you can't eat it, then don't eat it. Why do you have to learn to adapt?" Su Xixi asked, looking puzzled.

As she spoke, she patted Qin Huan on the shoulder with a generous gesture, "The most important thing in life is to be happy. There's no need to make things difficult for yourself!"

Qin Huan's smile softened a little.

She then took another bite of steamed bun and porridge with a sweet look on her face.

Little Ruanruan really wanted to give him a thumbs up. He was a true warrior to be able to make his sister's terrible cooking taste like a delicacy!

Su Lei entered the room with a sullen face, grabbed Su Qianqian by the ear and dragged her outside, saying, "Did you just ignore what I told you yesterday?"

"Ouch, ouch, Su Lei, let go, my ear is going to fall off!" Su Lei didn't actually use any force, but Su Qianqian's expression made it seem like her ear was about to be pulled off at any moment.

Qin Huan stood up abruptly and blocked Su Lei's path.

Su Lei raised his head slightly, his gloomy gaze fixed on Qin Huan. "I'm disciplining my own sister, that's none of your business!"

Qin Huan awkwardly touched his nose. "It's not wrong for you to discipline your sister, but children's ear bones are fragile. Be gentle, or you might break Qianqian's ear."
