Su Ruanruan walked happily toward the small building with the cookie box in her arms, and couldn't help but chuckle as she thought about the expression the boy had given her earlier.
When Susie opened the door and saw her little face beaming with joy, she couldn't help but ask in surprise, "Little Ruanruan, did you find gold?"
The little dumpling presented her with a delicate cookie box, saying, "Sister, this is for you."
Susie was immediately tempted by the sweet aroma of the cookies inside as soon as she opened the box. She picked one up, put it in her mouth, and the sweet and milky flavors exploded in her mouth.
"Sister, is it delicious?" the little dumpling asked expectantly.
"Mmm!" Su Xixi nodded as she ate heartily, asking indistinctly, "It's so delicious, Little Softie, where did you buy these cookies?"
The little dumpling proudly puffed out its chest, "I made it myself!"
Susie's eyes widened in surprise, and she almost choked on the cookie. She asked incredulously, "You made this yourself?"
"Um!"
The little dumpling nodded even more proudly.
Su Xixi's face fell slightly, and suddenly the biscuits in her mouth didn't taste so good anymore. "Little Ruanruan, you've really disappointed me..."
The little dumpling waved her hand with a smile, "It's okay, sister, you'll get used to it eventually."
"I'm going to deliver some cookies to Brother Lei now!"
Su Xixi watched the little dumpling skip and hop towards Su Lei's room, then ate a few more cookies to vent her anger.
Su Lei opened the door and saw the little dumpling. His face immediately fell, and he frowned. "What do you want with me?"
The little dumpling handed him the cookie box, saying, "Brother Lei, I made some cookies myself, and I'm giving you a box."
"Take it away!"
As soon as Su Ruanruan finished speaking, Su Lei suddenly reached out and slapped the cookie box in her hand, sending it flying.
Su Ruanruan froze on the spot.
Su Lei gritted his teeth, his face grim, and yelled at her, "Stop being a wolf in sheep's clothing! Don't think I don't know you're up to no good. Su Qianqian might be a fool to believe you, but I don't."
Now that you've gotten rid of Su Miao, your next target is me, right?
Let me tell you, I'm not like Su Miao. I'm a true member of the Su family. Neither you nor Su Yiqing could ever drive me away like they did Su Miao!
"Smack!"
As soon as Su Lei finished yelling, Su Ruanruan saw a shadow rush towards her like the wind, and Su Qianqian slapped Su Lei across the face with all her might.
"Su Lei, are you out of your mind?"
Su Xixi stood with her hands on her hips, glaring at Su Lei, "Don't take people's kindness for granted. What has Ruan Ruan ever done to you? You always give her a sour look, and she even brought you cookies she made. What more do you want?"
"Su Xixi, how dare you hit me?" Su Lei clenched his small hands into fists, his whole body trembling with the force.
"If I don't hit you, who will I hit? I'm going to wake you up, you idiot." Su Xixi had the air of a shrew and was not afraid at all.
Su Lei gritted his teeth and clenched his fists, seemingly trying hard to control his urge to hit Su Qianqian.
Finally, he took a deep breath, turned around, and slammed the door shut.
Su Xixi and Su Ruanruan were both startled by the loud slamming of the door.
Su Ruanruan looked at Su Qianqian, who immediately deflated, but still managed a smile. "Ruanruan, don't take him seriously. That's just how he is."
Su Ruanruan hadn't had a chance to answer yet.
Su Xixi said to her with a troubled expression, "Ruan Ruan, could you please not tell your brothers about this? I'm begging you."
Su Ruanruan never expected that Su Qianqian, who usually seemed carefree and nonchalant, was actually quite thoughtful.
She stood on tiptoe and patted Su Xixi's shoulder with great loyalty, "Sister, don't worry! I promise I won't tell anyone about this."
"Thank you." Susie reached out and hugged her.
She helped Su Xixi sweep all the cookie crumbs into the trash can before leaving the building.
But the initial excitement of arriving was completely gone.
Su Lei had been holding back those words in his heart for a long time before finally finding this opportunity to yell them out at her.
Although she did find Su Lei gloomy and didn't really hang out with him.
But considering his background and upbringing, it's understandable. Not everyone is like Su Xixi, with such a naturally good personality. Even if you put her in a dark and damp ditch, she can still bloom into the most beautiful flower facing the sun.
But how should Su Lei's problem be solved?
Su Ruanruan thought to herself with a touch of melancholy.
Before she could even ponder the matter, she heard Su Xiaowu's roar coming from the villa's living room, "Tyrant, Fourth Brother, you're going to team up against me, aren't you? Fine, go ahead and hit me, you'd better kill me. After I die, I'll go to heaven and tell Mom and Dad how you've been abusing me!"
"Fine, I'll grant your wish today," came Su Yiqing's deep, cold, and suppressed voice.
Su Ruanruan was startled and quickly ran back on her little feet, only to see Su Yiqing holding a ruler and hitting Su Xiaowu.
Su Xiaowu stood there motionless, her neck stiff.
"Don't hit the little brother." Without thinking, Su Ruanruan ran over and hugged Su Xiaowu as fast as she could.
Before Su Yiqing could retract her strength, the ruler struck Su Ruanruan with a "smack".
Suddenly, a burning pain shot through me.
Only then did Su Ruanruan grimace in regret. If she had known her older brother would hit so hard, she would have let the thick-skinned younger brother take the blow himself.
