Li Mo'er pulled Su Ruanruan to stand aside and muttered, "It's like I don't have anything that would make anyone interested in me."
"Grandpa, I don't know what I saw in Mo'er." Su Yiqing spoke slowly, and his words made Li Mo'er's heart jump to her throat, and her fists clenched tightly.
If Su Yiqing dares to back down on her right now, she'll beat him to death on the spot!
Su Yiqing also noticed her nervous expression and unconsciously curled the corners of her mouth. "Maybe liking someone is for no reason. I just think she's good in every way, even the way she fights is especially cool."
Grandpa Li glared at her again, then asked sternly, "You brat, you've been out fighting again?"
"Grandpa, I..." Li Mo'er glared at Su Yiqing out of the corner of her eye. She had just told this guy not to tell Grandpa about their first fight when they met, but he blurted it out as soon as he opened his mouth. He was clearly doing this on purpose to go against her.
But just as she was about to explain, she saw that Grandpa Li's bright eyes had already fallen on Su Ruanruan, and his old face was all smiles. He beckoned to Su Ruanruan, "Little dumpling, you are the little girl from the Su family that Mo'er often mentions when she comes back, right? Your name is Su Ruanruan, right? Come here, Grandpa will give you candy."
Su Ruanruan ran over and obediently lay on Grandpa Li's lap, acting cute and charming, "Grandpa, I'm Su Ruanruan."
Grandpa Li took her little arm and picked her up, liking her more and more as he looked at her. "This little girl is so adorable, much more so than Mo'er was when she was little."
Li Mo'er was speechless. "Grandpa, you can praise Ruan Ruan if you want, but why do you have to say something mean to me?"
Grandpa Li immediately glared at her, "Shut up, you have no right to speak here."
Su Ruanruan's bright eyes darted around, and she hugged Grandpa Li, saying in a soft, sweet voice, "Grandpa, you're not right. Sister Mo'er is so nice! Ruanruan likes Sister Mo'er so much! Big brother likes Sister Mo'er too! Our whole family likes Sister Mo'er so much!"
Upon hearing her childlike words, Grandpa Li burst into laughter, abandoning his previous intention to interrogate and test Su Yiqing.
A family that can raise such a lovely and sensible little daughter can't be all that bad.
Li Mo'er breathed a sigh of relief and secretly gave Su Ruanruan a thumbs up. After all, if Su Ruanruan hadn't distracted her, she would probably be standing in front of her grandfather right now, confessing to fighting with Su Yiqing.
Grandpa Li stood up holding the little dumpling, and Su Yiqing quickly stepped forward to take the little dumpling. Li Mo'er also helped Grandpa Li.
"Let's go, your parents are still waiting!"
The three followed the old man further into the courtyard.
On the way, Su Ruanruan learned that it was the old man who insisted on checking his grandson-in-law out on his own first. The old man had originally prepared a lot of elaborate preparations, but because of her presence, he skipped all of them.

Su Ruanruan pouted her cherry blossom-petal-like lips. Now that things had come to this, there was no other way but to take it one step at a time.
When they reached Li Mo'er's parents, Su Ruanruan couldn't help but gasp in surprise, staring wide-eyed at Li Mo'er.
The original plan was to have a simple meal with her family, just Grandpa Li, Li Mo'er's parents, and brother, but now the main hall is filled with people...
Li Mo'er looked a little embarrassed and leaned closer to Su Yiqing, saying, "I'm sorry, my grandfather is such a blabbermouth. He told the relatives, and they all came out of curiosity."
Su Yiqing's usually aloof and expressionless face showed a slight crack at this moment.
"Cough cough..."
Grandpa Li coughed twice and glared at Li Mo'er.
Li Mo'er pouted helplessly and straightened up.
The three had barely entered the house when the Li family's enthusiastic aunts and uncles stood up and started discussing amongst themselves.
"Oh, so this is Mo'er's boyfriend! He's really handsome. What's his name?"
“Third Aunt, his name is Su Yiqing,” Li Mo’er replied with a standard fake smile.
"Su Yiqing..." The woman whom Li Mo'er called Third Aunt seemed to think for a moment, probably not remembering which Su Yiqing it was, and asked, "What does Little Su's family do?"
"Hey, I remember now." At this moment, a woman next to her nudged Third Aunt and said, "Is it the Su family?"
Which Su family?
"That's the one. Three years ago, Mom and Dad died in a car accident. The eldest son took over the Su family business and, in his attempt to seize the family fortune, he put many relatives in jail. I heard that a few others died mysteriously, and even his own second uncle's family was sent abroad.
