Si Yanxiao stared at him coldly, his eyes full of scrutiny.
Seeing the two locked in a stalemate, Jiang Ran frowned slightly, looked at Si Yanxiao, and asked in a cold voice, "What do you want?"
Si Yanxiao suddenly scoffed, "What? Can't I come 'visit' you if there's nothing wrong?"
As he spoke, he paused slightly, raised his brow, and said with a disdainful look, "Have you considered how indecent your own behavior is when you righteously criticize me?"
Hearing the sarcasm in his words, Jiang Ran's eyes sharpened, and a hint of displeasure flashed across her face.
After speaking, Si Yanxiao glanced at Jiang Yuechen, then turned to look at Jiang Ran and sneered, "Is this your new love?"
Upon hearing this, Jiang Yuechen's expression darkened, and he replied directly, "So what if it is, and so what if it isn't?"
Seeing Jiang Yuechen's unpleasant expression and his words full of provocation towards Si Yanxiao, Jiang Ran's eyes flashed. In order to prevent the two from arguing, she was about to speak up to smooth things over.

Jiang Ran glanced sideways at Si Yanxiao, only to see his expression change, but he surprisingly didn't utter a word in rebuttal.
After saying that, Old Master Si turned to look at Jiang Ran, his tone softening slightly, and explained, "I had wanted to visit you for a long time, but I was dealing with things abroad and only arrived this morning."
Jiang Ran smiled slightly and replied softly, "It's nothing, I'm mostly recovered."
Hearing Jiang Ran's words, Old Master Si felt a little relieved. Before leaving, he specifically instructed Gu Nan to report to him immediately if anything happened.
He originally intended to keep this matter a secret, but if he hadn't become suspicious after learning that Si Zuochen was hospitalized and forced Gu Nan to tell the truth, he would probably still be in the dark.
After showing concern for Jiang Ran, Old Master Si pulled her to sit on the sofa, glared at Si Yanxiao, and coldly ordered, "Kneel down!"

But then a "thump" was heard, and out of the corner of my eye, I saw that Si Yanxiao had knelt down without even struggling, not far from Old Master Si.
Upon seeing this, Jiang Ran's face flashed with shock, and she quickly stood up.
When Grandpa Si saw her actions, a look of surprise flashed across his face. Jiang Ran waved her hands repeatedly and explained softly, "It's nothing, it's nothing, I'll just stand here for a bit."
Upon hearing this, Old Master Si didn't think much of it, unaware that Jiang Ran, standing to the side, was lost in thought.
Si Yanxiao's action was so sudden that she didn't react for a moment.
Old Master Si had just pulled her to sit down, and she was forced to kneel down as well. No matter how arrogant she was, she couldn't stand such a gesture from someone "bearing the aura of an emperor."
Si Yanxiao remained silent, looking down at the ground with a cold expression on his face.
The butler brought a wooden box to the table at the right moment. When the box was opened and a whip was found inside, a look of doubt flashed across Jiang Ran's face.

Having said that, he stood up, picked up the whip, and walked towards Si Yanxiao with a face full of anger.

Old Master Si lowered his eyes to look at Si Yanxiao, his eyes filled with coldness, and asked sternly, "Do you know your mistake?"
Si Yanxiao remained silent, but clearly showed that he was determined to fight him to the death.
Upon seeing this, Old Master Si frowned, raised his hand, and the whip fell down.
"This lash is because you couldn't distinguish between what's important and what's not, and you abandoned your child!"
