Chapter 387 Sowing Discord
The two held firm to their own versions of events, neither willing to back down.
"What do you mean by getting entangled with Si Jiliang at this crucial moment?! You've completely disgraced the Si family!"
Si Yanxiao's eyes flashed sharply, and he coldly rebuked.
Upon hearing this, Jiang Ran suddenly scoffed, "The Si family's reputation? When you were being ambiguous with Bai Zhuwei, did you never think about the Si family's reputation?"
"Besides, what those servants say is just hearsay. Why should we believe their one-sided stories? If you're really capable, then produce some evidence!"
His words were full of rebuttal, and carried a hint of disdain.
Seeing that she was clearly going to protect Si Jiliang, Si Yanxiao's expression grew even uglier. He picked up the cup on the table and threw it directly towards the door.
With a loud bang, Jiang Ran coldly mocked and then turned and walked away, her face full of anger.
The housekeeper watched her leave angrily, his eyes flashing slightly. He stepped forward to try and persuade her, but Jiang Ran simply waved his hand to block him.
"Don't talk nonsense if you don't understand the situation."
After saying that, he left the butler standing there and drove away.
Si Yanxiao then walked out of the study, his brows furrowed with malice, clearly indicating that the two had just had a heated argument.
He looked displeased, beckoned slightly to the servants not far away, and coldly ordered, "Clean it up."
"Yes." The maid lowered her eyes slightly, nodded repeatedly, and then went into the study to deal with the 'mess'.
Besides the broken glass on the ground, even the documents on the table were scattered all over the floor, which showed how fierce the argument had just taken place inside.
Seeing this, the maid's eyes narrowed slightly. After glancing outside the door to make sure no one was there, she took out her phone and quietly took a picture of the scene.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Bai Zhuwei also received a report of the mess in the study. Before she could think about it, an unknown number called her.
The maid who had just finished cleaning was hiding in a corner, looking around with her phone in hand, afraid that someone might suddenly appear.

Bai Zhuwei pondered for a moment, then replied in a deep voice, "Continue monitoring, and report to me immediately if anything happens."

Bai Zhuwei hung up the phone after hearing the maid's repeated responses.
Back when she first met Jiang Ran, she had already prepared a backup plan. Although the Si family's servants were heavily guarded, secrets don't stay hidden forever. She never expected that the servant she had bribed would now play such a big role!
Thinking of this, Bai Zhuwei's eyes darkened, and she slowly walked to the window, her expression inscrutable.

Bai Zhuwei strode closer and asked repeatedly, "Where is Ayan?"
Gu Nan pursed her lips slightly and replied coldly, "Office."
Upon hearing this, Bai Zhuwei's gaze darkened slightly, and she said in a low voice, "I have something I want to talk to him about. Could you take me in while you're at it?"
She used to be able to come and go freely at the Si Group, but ever since the Jiang Ran incident, her movements have been restricted, to the point that she now has to ask Gu Nan for help.
Seeing that Gu Nan was still hesitant, Bai Zhuwei quickly continued, "I know you have grievances against me, but I swear that Achen's whereabouts are unknown this time, and it really has nothing to do with me!"
"Now that the old man is in trouble, and Jiang Ran and Si Jiliang are entangled in a complicated relationship, can you bear to see Ayan suffer all of this alone?"
Bai Zhuwei spoke in a deep voice, her brows furrowed, looking worried. Gu Nan lowered his gaze, his eyes filled with scrutiny as he looked at her.
After hesitating for a moment, he asked in a low voice, "Are you sure this has nothing to do with you?"
"Some clues that can be investigated..."
"Is there any actual evidence?" Before Gu Nan could finish speaking, Bai Zhuwei interrupted, "I will explain the relevant details to Ayan. Those are just framing."
His expression was solemn as he spoke, his tone full of certainty.
Gu Nan's lips were pressed into a straight line, as if she was hesitating.
Bai Zhuwei then added, "I'll bear any consequences myself!"
“Okay…” Gu Nan hesitated for a moment, then responded in a low voice and led Bai Zhuwei inside.
The receptionist, who had received instructions from above, was about to step forward to stop them when Gu Nan stopped her with a look.
Upon arriving at the top-floor CEO's office, Si Yanxiao's assistant hesitated for a moment upon seeing the newcomer, then stepped forward to dissuade him, saying, "Assistant Gu, this lady is probably..."
"It's nothing." Gu Nan knew his concerns and interrupted him directly.
He then gave Bai Zhuwei a slight nod, which she immediately understood. She nodded to him in gratitude.
He then walked straight toward the president's office.
The assistant frowned slightly, a hint of worry flashing across her face, and stood to the side, speaking softly, "President Si repeatedly forbade her from appearing in the company."
“Times have changed.” Gu Nan’s eyes narrowed slightly as she slowly replied.
He then gazed meaningfully at Bai Zhuwei's retreating figure until she knocked on the door, at which point he turned and left.
Si Yanxiao was handling official business in his office when a sudden knock came at the door. His eyes darkened, and he said in a cold voice, "Come in."
Bai Zhuwei pushed open the door and entered, the oppressive atmosphere in the room clearly visible.
"What is it?" Si Yanxiao asked coldly without even looking up, his face dark and his displeasure evident.
Seeing this, Bai Zhuwei was almost certain that the information from the maid was correct. She slowly walked to the desk and whispered, "Ayan..."
Upon hearing this, Si Yanxiao paused slightly, looked up at her abruptly, frowned, and asked in a cold voice, "Why are you here?"
Bai Zhuwei pouted, looking aggrieved, and then complained, "What? Is seeing you even a luxury now?"
His tone was full of dissatisfaction, and he continued, "What exactly do you want me to believe that I have nothing to do with Ah Chen's murder?!"
"Between us... has even the most basic trust disappeared?"
There was a hint of disappointment in his words.
Upon hearing this, Si Yanxiao frowned slightly, a hint of emotion flashing across his face, and said in a low voice, "Don't overthink it."
Although it was just a casual remark, it stirred up ripples in Bai Zhuwei's heart.
The fact that Si Yanxiao was still willing to comfort himself at this point shows that much of the resentment in his heart had been eliminated.
Just as she finished thinking, Si Yanxiao continued, "I have investigated Achen's matter thoroughly, and it indeed has nothing to do with you."
Upon hearing this, Bai Zhuwei's expression froze for a moment, but she quickly composed herself.
