Chapter 175 Military Order

Chapter 175 Military Order

Seeing that Si Yanxiao looked distrustful, the butler was worried that it would cause unnecessary trouble, so he quickly changed the subject and said, "It's no use saying anything now. Let's wait for the doctor to give a clear diagnosis."

After saying that, he looked up and gave Jiang Ran a meaningful look. Jiang Ran understood instantly, pursed her lips, and walked to the side to sit down.

Seeing that Jiang Ran remained unmoved by his questioning, Si Yanxiao felt as if he had punched cotton. He decided not to press the issue any further and immediately backed down.

Just then, the doctor came out of the emergency room. Several people rushed forward to inquire about the patient's condition. He shook his head, a look of shame on his face, and said in a low voice, "Judging from the patient's symptoms, it looks very much like an intracranial lesion, but when we use instruments to examine him, we can't find any lesions at all. We've found nothing."

Upon hearing this, Si Yanxiao frowned and asked in a cold voice, "So what's the situation now? Such a large hospital can't even diagnose the illness? Are you just going to let the patient fall into a coma?"

The tone of the conversation carried a hint of aggressiveness, making the doctor feel somewhat uneasy. He quickly explained, "We've given the patient a full physical examination, and there's nothing wrong with him..."

"Therefore, our diagnosis is that everything is normal."

"Normal?" Upon hearing this, the butler frowned, stepped forward, and coldly rebuked, "Then what about his series of symptoms and sudden coma? Are those also normal phenomena?"

The two sides were deadlocked when the door to the emergency room suddenly opened behind them. Old Master Si was wheeled out on a hospital bed. The butler, not caring about the responsibility, rushed to the bedside with a worried look on his face.

Old Master Si's eyes were tightly closed, his face was as pale as paper, his lips were bloodless, and his brows were furrowed, making him look like he was in great pain.

Jiang Ran noticed that his consciousness was somewhat scattered, and her heart skipped a beat, a bad premonition flashing through her mind.

Si Zuochen and Si Youlin called out to him softly from the side, but they received no response. Fear gripped them, and their voices trembled with tears.

Suddenly, a series of hurried footsteps came from behind. Jiang Ran looked up and saw the dean leading a group of doctors and department heads rushing over.

When she saw Si Yanxiao, her eyes darkened, and she called out in a low voice, "Ayan."

Si Yanxiao nodded slightly, his expression displeased, but he still replied softly, "Second Uncle Gu."

Upon seeing this, Jiang Ran looked puzzled. There was actually someone who could make Si Yanxiao bow his head. She then looked at him seriously, and became very curious about the identity of the person in front of her.

His brow furrowed as he inquired about Old Master Si's symptoms from the doctor beside him, his expression growing increasingly grim as he listened.

After briefly examining the patient's pupils, his gaze turned cold, and he beckoned to the head of the neurology department, signaling him to conduct a second examination.

Then, looking at Si Yanxiao, she comforted him, "Don't worry, I'll arrange for him to be hospitalized first and observe him. If anything happens, he can get medical attention immediately."

"Okay." Si Yanxiao lowered his brows slightly and replied in a deep voice.

Since the symptoms are currently unclear, this is the best course of action as a precaution.

The dean then systematically arranged the tasks, and the group of people stayed by the bedside, a hint of worry flashing in their eyes.

After the dean finished dealing with everything, he came in to comfort her and then called Si Yanxiao out. Jiang Ran followed their figures and saw outside the door.

The housekeeper noticed her curiosity and slowly explained, "You know that the Gu family and the Si family are old friends, right?"

Upon hearing this, Jiang Ran was taken aback, then nodded, a hint of doubt on her face: "So who is that?"

"Gu Nan's second uncle is a leading figure in the medical field."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Ran instantly understood. No wonder Si Yanxiao was so respectful; it turned out he had this other identity.

Fifteen minutes later, Si Yanxiao pushed open the door and entered. Jiang Ran closed her eyes to rest, as if she hadn't seen him.

Seeing that the children were nowhere to be seen, Si Yanxiao's face showed a hint of surprise, and he asked softly, "Uncle Chen, where are Achen and Alin?"

The butler lowered his eyes slightly and replied in a low voice, "It's only causing more worry for the two children to stay here. I've asked Anan to take them back to the villa."

Upon hearing this, Si Yanxiao nodded slightly, then glanced at Jiang Ran and sneered, "Why is she still here?" Before the butler could explain, Jiang Ran retorted with a cold laugh, "I'm not guarding you, what's it to you?"

Seeing Jiang Ran's rebuttal, Si Yanxiao's expression changed, and he was about to speak up to mock her.

Suddenly, a series of rapid breaths came from Old Master Si's bedside. The group was startled, and Jiang Ran hurriedly got up and looked towards the bedside.

He noticed that his forehead was covered in fine beads of sweat, his eyes were closed, and his brows were furrowed. Si Yanxiao instinctively reached for the bell to call the doctor.

Jiang Ran shoved him aside and added a sarcastic remark: "Get out of the way! Don't block my way!"

Si Yanxiao's eyes narrowed as he listened, and he parted his thin lips slightly, about to reprimand her, when he saw her holding silver needles and skillfully piercing several acupoints.

"What are you doing?!" Si Yanxiao was worried that she was desperate and was about to stop her when the butler stepped in to stop him.

Then he slowly shook his head, his gaze fixed on Jiang Ran's movements, and said softly, "Let's see first, nothing will happen."

Having witnessed Jiang Ran's abilities, he naturally placed his full trust in her. However, Si Yanxiao was different; he was already prejudiced, especially since the person administering the acupuncture was his father. A look of worry immediately appeared on his face, and he stared intently at her movements.

Jiang Ran pursed her lips tightly. Her spiritual energy pierced into his body through the silver needles, but she could vaguely feel a resistance that seemed to be fighting against her.

After the acupuncture treatment, Old Master Si's complexion visibly became rosy and gradually calmed down, and the pain he had just shown disappeared.

Si Yanxiao looked at the scene before him with surprise.

Seeing this, the butler quickly asked, "How is it?"

Jiang Ran slowly put away the silver needles, her brows furrowing slightly, and replied in a low voice, "I have only temporarily suppressed his condition; further diagnosis is needed to determine the exact cause."

“I am confident that I can cure him, but no Western medicine treatments can be added during this period, so as not to contradict my diagnosis and treatment or cause the medicines to interact.”

Jiang Ran lowered her eyes and spoke her thoughts. The butler pursed his lips slightly, about to respond.

Si Yanxiao spoke first, coldly stopping him: "No!"

Jiang Ran's eyes turned cold as she looked up at him, only to see him staring at her with sharp, cold eyes. He then said, "You treated her all by yourself, without even needing the hospital's help. If something happens, who will be responsible?"

"And you?"

He paused slightly as he spoke, a hint of disdain flashing across his face, clearly indicating his distrust of her.

Jiang Ran's eyes flashed, recalling the resistance she had felt inside Old Master Si's body earlier. Her expression darkened, and she replied coldly, "Whatever happens, I will take full responsibility!"

"What will you use to take responsibility?!" Si Yanxiao retorted.

Seeing that the two were arguing and each held their own opinion, the butler sighed inwardly and quickly advised, "I think this method is not impossible."

"Uncle Chen!" Si Yanxiao sternly stopped him, his eyes filled with surprise. He hadn't expected the butler to side with Jiang Ran at this moment.

He said coldly, "How could you entrust my father's body to someone who has no qualifications whatsoever?"

After hearing his accusations, the butler looked up at Si Yanxiao with a serious expression, pursed his lips, and then slowly began to persuade him: "I believe in her medical skills. Previously, the old man's health had been poor and he often coughed violently. Even after searching for famous doctors, they could not do anything about it and could only suppress the symptoms but not cure the disease."

"Look now, everything's fine, isn't it? It's all thanks to Jiang Ran!"

The butler tried to reason with him and appeal to his emotions, but to his surprise, Si Yanxiao wouldn't listen at all, his face full of coldness: "I disagree."

Seeing his stubbornness, Jiang Ran's eyes flashed with annoyance, and she scoffed coldly, "What makes you disagree? What if your personal prejudice delays the best time for treatment?"

"Do you think there are any other options for you to choose from right now? The hospital can't find anything wrong with the old man in his current condition. If you stay any longer, his health will only get worse!"

Jiang Ran spoke up to remind him, and Si Yanxiao hesitated slightly upon hearing her words.

She's right, the hospital really can't offer a solution right now, but he's also worried about letting her "act recklessly" on her own.
