Chapter 103 Inner Demons Arise

Chapter 103 Inner Demons Arise

"Go and call someone here," Si Yanxiao said sternly, his face showing pain.

Jiang Ran's expression changed slightly, and she scoffed, "It will take at least half an hour for the family doctor to get here. By the time he arrives, you'll already be in shock."

“And your current symptoms…” Jiang Ran hesitated slightly before continuing, “Only I can cure you!”

"You?" Si Yanxiao looked up at her, wanting to mock her coldly, but the needle-like pain in his heart made him unable to muster any strength.

The distrust in his words was clear. Jiang Ran frowned as she watched him make excuses, then reached out and forcefully pinched his chin, saying coldly, "Pretentious!"

Si Yanxiao was forced to look Jiang Ran in the eye, and saw a hint of mockery flash in her eyes: "Since you are unwilling, then I can only take my own way."

"What?" Si Yanxiao frowned, the pain disrupting his thoughts, and he didn't react for a moment.

Jiang Ran raised an eyebrow and gently inserted a silver needle into his acupoint, saying, "You won't listen to reason, so I have no choice but to use force."

"You!" Si Yanxiao was furious, his face contorted with rage, and he coldly shouted, "Get out of my way!"

Jiang Ran ignored him and continued administering acupuncture on her own. Si Yanxiao was clearly in unbearable pain, but he never uttered a sound.

His face grew paler and paler, fine beads of sweat appeared on his forehead, and his body trembled slightly from the pain. Suddenly, a wave of dizziness hit him, and Si Yanxiao's vision went black as he collapsed to the ground.

Jiang Ran remained calm upon seeing this, her hands continuing their work without showing any sign of panic.

As expected, it's already quite remarkable that he's managed to hold on until now.

The pain from the invasion of pathogenic factors into the body is already unbearable, let alone the fact that the pain increased rather than decreased during her acupuncture treatment.

It wasn't that she had no way to alleviate his pain; she simply had to force it out to completely eradicate it.

Jiang Ran slightly turned her palm and pierced several acupoints in succession, causing the evil energy to rapidly surge through her body and try to struggle.

Then he closed his eyes, reached out and gently touched Si Yanxiao's chest, feeling the evil energy surging around him. He lowered his eyes slightly, thinking that as expected of the "Emperor's Qi" choice, the evil energy was actually able to hide in his body.

He sighed softly, just as he was about to secretly push harder, when a glint flashed in his eyes and he suddenly sensed a strange aura within the evil energy.

This aura... is it a demonic influence?!

Jiang Ran suddenly opened her eyes, her pupils filled with shock, and a hint of surprise flashed in her eyes as she looked at Si Yanxiao.

Inner demons are the most vehemently opposed existence for all those who practice metaphysics, and to date, they are also the most difficult to deal with.

Once inner demons invade, they cause a person to lose their rationality. They continuously absorb a person's negative emotions and energy, and once they reach their peak, the consequences are unimaginable.

Thinking of this, Jiang Ran frowned, a hint of annoyance flashing across her face.

She looked down at Si Yanxiao, her heart filled with doubt.

What kind of thing could give inner demons an opportunity to take hold?

Does that woman really have that much influence on him?

Once you're afflicted by your inner demons, they're extremely difficult to eradicate. Jiang Ran looked puzzled, and her expression towards him held a hint of disappointment.

He then scoffed, "Being troubled by love is nothing more than this."

Then she removed the silver needles, bent down and "dragged" him onto the bed, and out of respect for the old man, she considerately covered him with a blanket.

Jiang Ran stood quietly by the bed, looking at him with a meaningful gaze.

After a long while, as dawn broke, Jiang Ran finally turned and left, exiting the room.

When Si Yanxiao woke up, he found himself lying in bed. The unfamiliar yet familiar environment made him slightly dazed.

He immediately realized that Grandpa Si had stayed overnight yesterday, and then his thoughts returned, with the events of last night leaving a deep impression.

Thinking of this, Si Yanxiao frowned. After scanning the room and confirming that Jiang Ran was not there, he frowned slightly.

Then, struggling to sit up, he tried to get into the wheelchair.

The blanket slipped off, and Si Yanxiao saw that his pajamas had obviously been changed, and his face immediately darkened.

Just then, the sound of a doorknob turning came from outside. Si Yanxiao looked up and saw Jiang Ran looking refreshed, with water still dripping from the ends of her hair, as if she had just washed up after exercising.

Upon seeing this, Si Yanxiao's expression instantly darkened.

She vividly remembers the things she did while she was in a coma.

What Jiang Ran had painstakingly explained now seemed, in his eyes, somewhat like a cover-up.

Si Yanxiao's eyes were filled with anger as he looked at Jiang Ran, his brows furrowed: "What did you do yesterday?"

Jiang Ran noticed his displeasure, raised an eyebrow, and teased, "To save you."

Si Yanxiao listened, his eyes flashing, when Jiang Ranfu spoke again, "Everyone says that a drop of kindness should be repaid with a spring of gratitude. Tell me, how do you plan to repay this kindness?"

Using this little thing to threaten me?

Si Yanxiao's lips curled slightly, his face showing disdain, and he said coldly, "Repay a debt of gratitude? Who knows what shameful things you did after I fell unconscious?"

"Something you can't show to others?" Jiang Ran pursed her thin lips, then suddenly noticed his gaze flash over her clothes, and instantly understood.

She slowly explained, "Don't overthink it. I had the maid change your clothes last night."

Last night, after she dragged him to bed, she noticed that his clothes were soaked with cold sweat, so he couldn't rest in them.

But she couldn't strip him naked, so she had to seek outside help and asked the maid to come and help, saying that she had accidentally been splashed while showering.

The servants in the Si family were all aware of their relationship, and as long as they had a suitable excuse, they wouldn't ask any more questions.

Si Yanxiao remained silent, his eyes filled with coldness as he looked at her, it was unclear whether he believed her or not.

Jiang Ran didn't care about his attitude at all. She pursed her lips slightly and sat down on the wicker chair by the window.

Their relationship was merely a matter of mutual benefit, and then she added, "Don't worry, I have absolutely no interest in your body."

Her body was useless to her; she was only interested in the spiritual energy emanating from him.

Upon hearing this, Si Yanxiao's face darkened. Due to his prejudice against her, what was originally a heartfelt remark sounded like a mockery to him.

It's inexplicably sarcastic and strange.

"That would be for the best." Si Yanxiao glanced at her sideways and spoke coldly.

No sooner had he finished speaking than a sudden knock came at the door.

"Come in!" Jiang Ran called out loudly.

The maid pushed open the door and said softly, "Sir and Madam, it's time for breakfast."

“Okay, we understand.” Jiang Ran smiled slightly and replied, then added, “Thank you for helping him into the wheelchair.”

The servant nodded repeatedly and walked to Si Yanxiao's side.

Si Yanxiao looked down at Jiang Ran, a hint of sarcasm flashing in his eyes.

Judging from her words and actions, she acts so naturally instructing people, as if she really considers herself the master.

The maid helped Si Yanxiao into his wheelchair and then said, "The butler instructed that there is an elevator opposite the study. Since you are not feeling well these days, you can just take the elevator."

"Okay." Si Yanxiao nodded slightly after hearing this.

Jiang Ran slowly walked behind him, waved to the servant, and took over his action, pushing Si Yanxiao from behind.

The servant, sensing the situation, left on her own.

Seeing Jiang Ran pushing him from behind, Si Yanxiao's face showed a hint of unease, and he said coldly, "I can control it myself, so I won't 'trouble' you."

As he spoke, he emphasized the word "trouble," his eyes filled with sarcasm.

Jiang Ran glanced at him and smiled slightly: "Then what should we do? I want to help you right now."

Si Yanxiao's face darkened upon hearing this. Her tone gave him the illusion that she was about to push him down the stairs.

"Get out of my way!" Si Yanxiao shouted sternly, unwilling to have any further contact with her.

Jiang Ran raised an eyebrow slightly and released her grip.

The two remained silent until they reached the elevator. Suddenly, Jiang Ran spoke up, "This elevator was specially prepared for the old man by the butler. It wasn't fixed when I came a few days ago. I didn't expect you to get it first." Hearing this, Si Yanxiao frowned slightly, instinctively feeling that she wasn't saying anything nice, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.

Just as he was about to speak, Jiang Ranfu said again, "You have quite the nerve."

Si Yanxiao raised his eyes and looked at her coldly. If he still couldn't hear her veiled sarcasm at this moment, he would have wasted all his time in the business world!

Thinking of this, a hint of hostility flashed across Si Yanxiao's face, and he let out a cold laugh.

With a "beep," the elevator descended to the first floor.

The door slowly opened, facing directly into the hall. Jiang Ran looked up and was taken aback.
