Chapter 136 Robbery
He paused slightly, his face full of sarcasm, before continuing, "Isn't that a bit ridiculous?"
I was just too lazy to argue with him. Did he really think that giving him a little leeway would make him take advantage of me?
Si Yanxiao's eyes turned cold, his face displeased, and he coldly rebuked, "I don't want to argue with you in front of Zhu Wei's grave. Get out!"
Upon hearing this, Si Youlin's expression changed, and he reminded him in a deep voice, "Daddy!"
Si Zuochen chimed in at the opportune moment, "Daddy, be careful what you say!"
Si Yanxiao pursed his lips, his thin lips forming a straight line, his face expressionless.
Jiang Ran looked at his expression with disdain and sneered, "Sneaking around to mourn your ex, what? Do you have some unspeakable secret that no one can hear about?"
"Shut up!" Si Yanxiao's face turned cold upon hearing Jiang Ran's mockery. He stood up and took a few steps closer to Jiang Ran.
Seeing this, Si Zuochen stepped aside to block her, looked up and met Si Yanxiao's gaze, and said in a deep voice, "I think she is right."
"You're all on her side?" Si Yanxiao's lips tightened, and his face instantly turned ashen.
Si Zuochen slowly shook his head and replied in a low voice, "Daddy, we're dealing with the issue, not the person."
As she spoke, she glanced at the tombstone, then looked up at him again: "It was Ah Lin and I who pestered her to come here today, so no wonder she's like this."
"But I never expected to see such a scene..."
How ironic.
He hesitated slightly before deciding not to say the second half of the sentence.
Upon hearing this, Si Yanxiao remained unmoved and took out his phone to call Gu Nan.
A moment later, Gu Nan rushed over and was clearly taken aback when he saw the three extra people on the cemetery.
"Ah Chen and Ah Lin? What are you doing here?"
Si Yanxiao looked at him, his eyes turning cold, and urged, "Send them back to the villa!"
“Daddy!” Si Youlin frowned, about to say something, when he saw Si Yanxiao turn around to face the tombstone and fall silent.
Gu Nan could tell that Si Yanxiao was suppressing his anger, fearing that he might accidentally harm the two children.
She quickly walked to Si Zuochen's side and whispered a few words in his ear. A hint of hesitation flashed across Si Zuochen's face.
"real?"
Gu Nan nodded slightly, then asked in a low voice, "Shall we go?"
Si Zuochen hesitated for a moment, then slowly nodded. He then pulled Si Youlin over, looked up at Jiang Ran, and asked her with his eyes.
"You guys go first," Jiang Ran said softly with a slight smile. "I still have some things to take care of."
"Okay," Si Zuochen replied in a low voice.
Gu Nan pulled the two of them and turned to leave, giving Jiang Ran a meaningful look before they left.
Once the cemetery returned to silence, Si Yanxiao suddenly spoke in a cold voice: "Aren't you going to get out of here?!"
"Why should I?" Jiang Ran retorted with a cold sneer.
Si Yanxiao turned around and looked at her with a sharp gaze, his brows furrowed.
"I didn't want to embarrass you in front of the child, don't be ungrateful!"
Hearing Si Yanxiao's reprimand, Jiang Ran's lips curled slightly, as if she had heard a joke, and she let out a cold laugh.
"Don't speak so absolutely. It's not certain who will embarrass whom!"
After saying that, he casually glanced at the tombstone: "After all, mourning an old lover is hardly a glorious thing."
“The old man had told me before that you were strictly forbidden from having any further contact with this woman, regardless of whether she lived or died.”
After saying that, he paused slightly, and after a moment, he continued, "I didn't understand why it was described as so serious before, but after seeing it today, I understand now."
Upon hearing this, Si Yanxiao looked at her coldly, his face full of displeasure: "What do you mean?"
Jiang Ran lowered her eyes slightly, her face showing disdain, and sneered coldly: "A dead person is more important to you than your own child. I really don't know whether to call you affectionate or stupid!"
"You!" Hearing the sarcasm in Jiang Ran's words, Si Yanxiao was about to shout angrily.
Jiang Ran's expression suddenly changed, and her previous disdainful look gradually turned serious.
“This tomb…” Jiang Ran slightly turned her head, her gaze fixed on the tombstone, and suddenly sensed that something was wrong.
Underneath ordinary tombstones lies an urn or coffin, devoid of life yet exuding an aura of death over time.
She hadn't noticed it earlier because of her argument with Si Yanxiao, but now that she'd calmed down, she realized that the tombstone was completely devoid of any life force, forming a stark contrast with the surrounding tombstones.
Hearing the hesitation in Jiang Ran's words, Si Yanxiao's expression turned cold, and he asked sharply, "What about this tomb?"
Jiang Ran's brow remained furrowed, and she slowly shook her head: "There's something wrong with this tomb."
"Heh..." Si Yanxiao seemed unconvinced by her advice and sneered, "Are you saying this because you've run out of lies to tell?"
"I warned you before, don't bring up Zhu Wei!"
"I didn't." Compared to his anger, Jiang Ran appeared much calmer, her expression unchanged, and she spoke slowly.
She pursed her lips, about to speak up to explain, but seeing Si Yanxiao looking at her with sarcasm, convinced that she had ulterior motives, she instantly lost the desire to explain.
Then he spoke in a cold voice, slowly saying, "I've said everything I needed to say. Believe it or not, it's up to you."
After saying that, he turned around and prepared to leave.
Si Yanxiao coldly watched her retreating figure and scoffed, "There's no possibility between us. We'll get divorced sooner or later!"
"You don't need to rack your brains to please others; what's not yours will never be yours!"
"You don't need to maliciously slander Zhu Wei. Even without her, it would never have been your turn!"
Hearing the warning in Si Yanxiao's words, Jiang Ran paused slightly, turned her head slightly, and said disdainfully, "Whatever."
If she hadn't been in such a hurry to find Jiang Yuechen, she would have definitely had a serious talk with him.
If it weren't for the "Imperial Aura" within him, who would be willing to put up with his arrogant and unruly temperament?
Do they really think highly of themselves?
Having finished his thoughts, he started walking out of the cemetery.
Seeing Jiang Ran so calm, Si Yanxiao felt as if he had punched cotton, which was soft and yielding, and he became even more furious.
Having already said the harsh words, it's not appropriate to add any more sarcastic remarks.
After watching her gradually disappear from sight, he turned back to the tombstone, sat down beside it, and gently stroked the tombstone with his hand. Unlike his previous indifference, his eyes were full of tenderness.
She murmured softly, "Zhuwei..."
But she was destined to receive no response. After leaving the cemetery, Jiang Ran quickly calculated Jiang Yuechen's exact location and immediately drove there.
I stepped on the gas and sped away, leaving only a fleeting shadow as the car passed by.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Jiang Yuechen had just arrived at the bank when his driver, pushing his wheelchair, asked softly, "Sir, I can handle this for you. Why did you have to come in person?"
Jiang Yuechen's eyes flickered slightly as Jiang Ran's voice and smile flashed through his mind. A slight smile appeared on his lips, and his heart was filled with joy.
He replied in a low voice, "I want to hand these things to her myself."
He wanted to handle everything related to Jiang Ran personally and didn't want to delegate it to others.
Upon hearing this, the driver slowly replied, "You're so kind to the young lady."
Jiang Yuechen smiled slightly and chuckled softly.
But just as he was registering at the VIP section, he suddenly heard a loud "thump" outside the door. The bank door was slammed shut, a chair was kicked to the ground, and a few gunshots went blank.
Fear filled the crowd, and they quickly covered their heads and fled.
"Robbery! Everyone, put your hands on your heads and squat down!"
They saw several people dressed in black, wearing masks, and holding guns, blocking the doorway and watching them coldly.
The driver's first reaction was to look at Jiang Yuechen, who slowly shook his head at him, signaling him not to act rashly.
The robbers glanced around and, seeing that Jiang Yuechen was the only one sitting motionless in his wheelchair, shouted sternly, "Hands behind your head!"
Jiang Yuechen's eyes narrowed, but he knew the situation was not optimistic, so he had no choice but to do as instructed.
Seeing this, the leader gestured to the people behind him, who then pulled the staff towards the bank counter, making them open the safe, take out the money, and throw it into a sack.
Taking advantage of their inattention, Jiang Yuechen pressed the alarm button on the wheelchair.
Because of his health condition, security was taken very seriously. His wheelchair was specially made so that it could be used to instantly trigger an alarm in case of emergency.
The chip inside is directly connected to the public security system. With just three taps, it can immediately trigger an alarm and allow the system to locate your position.
Moments later, the sound of police sirens could be heard outside, along with warnings.
