Chapter 251: A Chaotic Dance of Demons

Chapter 251: A Chaotic Dance of Demons

Jiang Ran nodded slightly, then looked annoyed, pointed at Bai Chengtin, and coldly ordered, "Get rid of him."

Without sparing any courtesy in his words, the butler understood, nodded slightly, then walked up to Bai Chengtin, his tone somewhat displeased, and said in a deep voice, "Shall we go?"

Bai Chengtin stood motionless, his eyes filled with anger as he looked at Jiang Ran, his hands clenched into fists, as if he were about to attack.

Seeing his actions, Jiang Ran's eyes narrowed, and she coldly reminded him, "I'm giving you some nice advice. If you can walk out properly, don't act like a fool, or you'll be walking out in a sorry state."

His words were full of threats. After hearing them, Bai Chengtin glanced around and realized that he was now on someone else's turf. He tightened his lips and forcibly suppressed the anger in his heart.

He then snorted coldly and turned to leave.

He originally came here to avenge Bai Zhuwei and clear her name, but he never expected to be completely suppressed by Jiang Ran!

What a sharp tongue!

Jiang Ran lowered her eyes and watched his back until he disappeared from sight before turning her gaze away. Unconsciously, she rubbed the index finger of her other hand, her mind filled with countless thoughts.

She hadn't specifically investigated Bai Zhuwei, so naturally she didn't know about her family relationships. Bai Chengtin had become someone she hadn't expected at all.

He failed to appear for a long time, but instead came to mock me at this time, and even made a big fuss about it outside the door, clearly trying to ruin his reputation.

But the timing of this appearance seems rather coincidental.

One wave subsides only for another to rise, as if someone is deliberately trying to amplify the situation and draw attention to themselves.

Thinking of this, a thought flashed through Jiang Ran's mind.

Perhaps... this kidnapping was orchestrated by Bai Zhuwei herself, who wanted to take the blame for it.

If Bai Chengtin hadn't come to cause trouble, she wouldn't have thought of this.

Bai Zhuwei has remained inactive, presumably waiting for Bai Chengtin, as an outsider, to vent her anger and escalate the situation.

In this way, she could completely distance herself from the matter, and even if something went wrong, she could shift the blame to Bai Chengtin, claiming it was just a moment of impatience.

Thinking of this, Jiang Ran pursed her lips slightly, and a hint of coldness flashed across her face.

Just then, her phone rang abruptly, interrupting her thoughts.

Jiang Ran frowned slightly, a hint of impatience flashing across her face. She then glanced at the caller ID, her eyes narrowing slightly before she swiped to answer.

"The kidnappers haven't confessed yet," Si Yanxiao's voice slowly came through the receiver.

Upon hearing this, Jiang Ran's eyes flashed. She had specifically instructed Si Yanxiao to inquire about the situation at the detention center. Although it was unexpected, she was still somewhat disappointed.

The fact that they haven't explained themselves means they still insist that they were the mastermind behind the release.

If I don't say anything, I'll be suspected every day.

Jiang Ran lowered her eyes slightly, her expression unreadable. After a moment's hesitation, she slowly said, "I'll go ask myself."

"You?" Si Yanxiao asked back, a hint of surprise flashing in his voice.

Jiang Ran responded in a deep voice, and thinking of her earlier guess, she replied in a deep voice, "I also have some ideas. You and Bai Zhuwei should go together."

Hearing her slightly stiff and commanding tone, Si Yanxiao's face flashed with a coldness. He was about to retort sharply, but hesitated for a moment and did not say anything more.

Since she was so sure, he was curious to see what tricks she had up her sleeve.

Meanwhile, the detention center received the news early in the morning and immediately locked up all the kidnappers in one place. Jiang Ran and Si Yanxiao met outside the door. When Jiang Ran saw Bai Zhuwei standing beside him, his eyes narrowed slightly and a sneer flashed across his face.

Bai Zhuwei sensed her disdain for her, and recalling the scene Bai Chengting recounted upon his return, she couldn't help but feel a surge of anger.

She originally wanted Bai Chengtin to put pressure on her, but unexpectedly she was mocked instead.

Thinking of this, a hint of coldness appeared in his eyes as he looked at Jiang Ran.

Jiang Ran didn't care about this at all and turned to walk inside. Si Yanxiao followed slowly behind her. Bai Zhuwei tried to get closer, but Si Yanxiao deliberately avoided her.

The kidnappers remained silent in the room when they suddenly heard a knock at the door. Jiang Ran and her group slowly approached from outside.

Upon seeing the newcomers, the kidnappers were startled. Bai Zhuwei lowered her eyes and glanced at the leader, giving a subtle signal that the kidnappers instantly understood.

He looked up at Jiang Ran, a glimmer of hope appearing in his eyes, his expression excited and very obvious.

Jiang Ran coldly observed his performance, her gaze turning icy. Seeing this, Si Yanxiao spoke up at the opportune moment, asking in a cold voice, "So? Have you made up your mind?"

The kidnapper pursed his lips, then looked up at Jiang Ran, pointed at her, and said with certainty, "It's her!"

When Jiang Ran saw him accusing her, she raised an eyebrow and a look of surprise flashed across her face, but then she sneered: "You dare to lie through your teeth with the person in front of you?"

His words were full of sarcasm. Upon hearing this, the kidnapper pursed his lips slightly, and a hint of struggle flashed in his eyes, but it was only for a moment before he returned to normal.

He said coldly, "Everything I said is true. You secretly contacted us and said that this woman had an ambiguous relationship with Si Yanxiao, and told us to take action."

"Finally, we can demand a hostage exchange, which will both intimidate Bai Zhuwei and clear our own name, thus gaining her favor."

The kidnapper spoke slowly, expecting Jiang Ran to panic and deny it repeatedly, but unexpectedly heard a cold sneer.

Looking up, Jiang Ran looked down at him, her eyebrows and eyes smiling, but her eyes were full of coldness.

As she scrutinized him, the kidnapper suddenly felt uneasy.

Then I heard her say in a cold, mocking voice, "You speak so eloquently, it actually sounds quite plausible."

Jiang Ran's tone was contemptuous, and his face showed disdain. This attitude was obviously unexpected. The kidnapper frowned slightly, and a hint of surprise flashed through his mind.

Bai Zhuwei, feeling the invisible pressure emanating from Jiang Ran, pursed her lips and feigned surprise as she asked, "Isn't this the truth?"

Seeing that she also chimed in, trying to shift the blame onto herself, Jiang Ran's lips curled up slightly, a hint of sarcasm flashing across them. She suddenly sneered and asked, "Do you also believe that I did this?"

"That's not what I thought," Bai Zhuwei said hesitantly, "It's just that the evidence is right in front of us..."

She hesitated slightly as she spoke, adopting an innocent, naive demeanor. Jiang Ran felt a surge of disgust; she couldn't stand this kind of gullible act.

They appear harmless, but are actually vicious.

Si Yanxiao listened to the argument between the two, and unusually, he did not speak up to stop them. Instead, his gaze remained fixed on the kidnapper, his eyes full of scrutiny.

"Evidence?" Jiang Ran frowned slightly and said coldly, "If one-sided statements count as evidence, then wouldn't it also count as evidence if I said that you orchestrated this whole thing yourself?"

After Jiang Ran finished speaking, she looked intently at Bai Zhuwei, her eyes unblinking.

But upon hearing this, she showed no panic whatsoever. Instead, a look of surprise flashed across her face, and she exclaimed in astonishment, "How could this be?! How could I have done such a thing?"

Seeing that her expression was normal, Jiang Ran couldn't help but admire her acting skills even more; she acted so convincingly.

However, he did not engage in any further pointless arguments with her. Instead, he parted his thin lips and said, "Let them tell us the truth themselves."

Then, she lowered her eyes and looked coldly at the kidnapper, a glint of coldness flashing in her eyes. Silently, she took out a talisman from her pocket, made a hand seal, and infused it with spiritual energy.

The movement happened silently in the blink of an eye. Si Yanxiao and Bai Zhuwei were not paying attention to her and did not notice it.

Jiang Ran slightly raised her palm, and the talisman landed steadily in the center. With a slight exertion of her energy, the kidnapper's vision was instantly plunged into darkness, followed by a sudden appearance of a group of demons and monsters of various shapes and colors.

This was the first time they had ever seen such a ghostly presence. Their expressions changed drastically, and the group waved their hands wildly, their faces filled with panic, repeatedly muttering, "Get out of the way! What is that?!"

Jiang Ran watched their actions coldly, a hint of disdain flashing in her eyes.

Originally, he hadn't expected to rely on metaphysics, but Bai Chengting's troublemaking inadvertently reminded him of something.

Si Yanxiao and Bai Zhuwei remained calm until they saw the kidnappers acting like a chaotic mob, at which point a look of surprise flashed across their faces.
