Chapter 236 Trying to stage an accident?

Chapter 236 Trying to stage an accident?

"Ah, no!" Jiang Ran's body was still quite weak, so she just wanted to lie in bed right now.

"Could you take us to school?"

"You want me to take you to school?" The surprise came so fast that Jiang Ran didn't react for a moment.

"I'm fine, I have plenty of free time." Jiang Ran was so excited that she stood up straight out of bed, and even her swollen feet no longer hurt.

She quickened her pace, a sharp pain shooting through her feet, but Jiang Ran's face remained unaffected: "Let's go, I'll see you off." But she quickly stopped: "I'll go change my clothes; I can't embarrass you."

Despite the discomfort in her feet, Jiang Ran went to the dressing room with a smile to change her clothes. Since she was short on time, she only applied lipstick to improve her complexion.

The thoughtful little man regretted saying those words as soon as they came out, but seeing Jiang Ran so happy, they didn't want to dampen her spirits, so they ordered the servants to bring the wheelchair over.

When Jiang Ran came out, the wheelchair was already at the door. Si Zuochen said coldly, "If you can walk, you don't need to go."

“I won’t walk, I’ll go there in a wheelchair.”

Yesterday, although Jiang Ran used the wheelchair once, she was still not very skilled at operating it. Zi Su stood behind the wheelchair and said, "Let me push it."

Jiang Ran gave Zisu a grateful look. It was already 7:40, and there was a bit of time to spare. The car had been prepared early in the morning, and she got in as soon as she came downstairs.

This driver was always the one who took the two children to and from school. He had driven this road hundreds of times, if not thousands. Today he was late and caught the morning rush hour. Looking at the congested road ahead, the driver turned to Jiang Ran and said, "Madam, if we take this road, the two young masters will definitely be late."

Are there any other routes?

"Yes, but it's a bit roundabout; the road over there is a bit off-center," the driver said, sounding somewhat troubled.

Jiang Ran quickly calculated with her fingers and realized there might be some minor bumps and scrapes, but nothing serious. She decisively looked up and said, "Let's take the road you just mentioned."

Although the two children being late wouldn't have any impact, Jiang Ran didn't want to delay their time because of her.

The car turned around and headed down another road.

As the driver just said, the road we're on now is quite remote compared to the previous one, and not just a little bit; it's desolate.

"Don't rush, we have plenty of time. We haven't driven this road before, so we have to be extra careful." Seeing that they were about to turn, Jiang Ran gave the driver a series of instructions, each word distinct.

Not only that, he also took out a yellow talisman from his pocket, folded it casually a few times, and placed it on the driver's seat.

Si Zuochen and Si Youlin stared intently at Jiang Ran's actions, wondering why she was doing this.

Jiang Ran turned her head and saw the two children staring at her intently. She instinctively tried to cover herself, but Si Zuochen had already asked the question.

What are you doing?

"Uh, it's just for peace and safety." Jiang Ran's face showed some embarrassment.

However, Si Zuochen did not press the matter further.

Because of Jiang Ran's instructions, the driver slowed down as he approached the bend, so as soon as the car turned around, he saw a person lying on the ground and immediately slammed on the brakes.

In the instant of the sudden stop, Jiang Ran pulled the two children into her arms and shielded them with her body.

The car shook violently for a moment, then quickly returned to calm.

"Young Madam, there is someone lying on the ground ahead."

"Don't move, I'll go down and take a look." Jiang Ran looked Si Zuochen and Si Youlin up and down, and seeing that they were not acting strangely, she sat back down in her seat, straightened her clothes, and said.

"Young Madam, your foot..."

Jiang Ran looked down and saw her still swollen feet. Then she saw Si Zuochen's not-so-pleasant expression and could only abandon her previous decision: "Go down and take a look."

The bodyguard sitting in the last row nodded slightly and got out of the car.

Taking advantage of this time, Jiang Ran glanced at her watch. It was 8:10. She was late…

"Ah Chen, Ah Lin, it's 8:10 now... I'm so sorry." Jiang Ran's voice was full of self-reproach.

Neither of the children blamed Jiang Ran; they simply shook their heads gently, their eyes fixed on the front of the car.

"Who are you people?" The man lying on the ground knew he was in deep trouble the moment the bodyguards got out of the car.

But then he looked at the van, which clearly belonged to a wealthy person, and he didn't want to give up. Thinking of the gambling debts he owed, the man lying on the ground gave a signal to the person standing next to him.

The man standing nearby received the signal and immediately stood up: "What do you care who we are? You hit someone, so you have to pay! Look at my brother, he's unconscious from your hit-and-run! Hand over the money!" His menacing voice and expression immediately brought the word "insurance fraud" to Jiang Ran's mind!

That's right, it's a staged accident!

Jiang Ran instructed another bodyguard to keep an eye on the two children, and then got out of the car herself.

Upon seeing a woman get out, the two men became even more aggressive: "How could you drive like that? My brother and I were just walking along the road when you hit us. Pay up!"

"Let's call the police!" Jiang Ran said as soon as she came down.

Upon hearing this, the man's expression hardened further: "Go ahead and call the police! See if the officers will do anything about it."

"Madam, there are no surveillance cameras here," the bodyguard whispered in Jiang Ran's ear.

Jiang Ran's lips curled into a smile: "Aren't there any security cameras here?"

The bodyguard nodded.

"You're so bold because there are no security cameras here!"

"So what if I do! I'm telling you, you'd better hurry up and hand over the money, or it won't just be a matter of money later." The man leered at Jiang Ran's body and face.

Jiang Ran looked at the two people with a smile on her face, as if she were looking at two dead people.

Two bodyguards accompany the two children to school every day. Today, with the addition of Jiang Ran, there is one more bodyguard, as well as Zisu who helps push the wheelchair.

Seeing that Jiang Ran still wouldn't get into the car, Zisu had no choice but to keep the two children by her side and signal to the bodyguard to let one of them out.

Jiang Ran smiled faintly and remained silent. A bodyguard got out of the car, and at that moment, a hint of panic flashed across the faces of the two men.

"Since the young master is already late for school, you can play with them for a while!"

Having received approval, the two bodyguards rubbed their hands together and walked towards the two men who were trying to stage an accident.

"You choose the path to heaven but refuse to take it, while barging into the gates of hell!" Jiang Ran said this calmly, then turned and got into the car.

The crackling sounds coming from behind did not affect Jiang Ran's steps or their speed of departure in the slightest.

The moment Jiang Ran got into the car, two bodyguards came over.

The car quickly started moving again, and the driver received a call from Si Yanxiao.

"Young Master."

"Where are you?" Si Yanxiao asked.

"Give me the phone," Jiang Ran said.

"I'll take Ah Lin and Ah Chen to school in a bit. There was a little accident." Jiang Ran said, waiting for Si Yanxiao's reply. However, after waiting for a while, she didn't hear his voice. When she picked up the phone again, it had already been hung up.

Jiang Ran tossed the phone to Zisu, and Si Yanxiao's indifference did not cause Jiang Ran the slightest discomfort.

The car drove away, and what was originally one man lying on the ground was now two men lying on the ground. Not only that, but although their clothes weren't clean before, they were at least neatly dressed. Now, however, they were in tattered clothes.

It wouldn't be surprising to call them beggars.

“I’m calling the police! This is illegal violence…” one of them even said.

This morning, Jiang Ran caused a delay, then traffic congestion and a detour, and then they encountered a con artist trying to stage an accident. Despite trying their best to save time, the two children were still late for school...

It's nine o'clock.

The school teachers were very dutiful, waiting at the school gate. They simply asked a few questions about the reason and then waved goodbye to Jiang Ran.

After watching the two children enter the school and leaving behind two bodyguards, Jiang Ran left with her entourage.
