At Jiang Yunshen's insistence, Du Qianyun moved into Qingyue Garden.
Ji Fuying was delighted by her arrival, which also proved that Jiang Yunshen had finally explained things between them.
She no longer needs to feel guilty.
"You really don't remember anything?" Du Qianyun looked at her suspiciously.
How did the daughters of the Ji and Lu families get involved with Jiang Lan?
What was Jiang Lan's reason for killing her?
As far as she knew, Jiang Lan had never left the Jiang family since she married into it, and had never met any outsiders.
How could someone like her possibly have any hatred towards Ji Fuying?
Was she not originally from Country C?
"I don't remember, and I don't even know if I'm an orphan, otherwise why hasn't anyone come to claim me for so long?"
"You're trying to trick me into telling you something, but I can't tell you anything until Yun Shen agrees."
Du Qianyun immediately saw through her probing, but she really couldn't say anything.
Ji Fuying shook her head and sighed, "Well, as expected, husband and wife are in sync, they've helped so quickly."
"What nonsense are you talking about? We haven't... defined our relationship yet."
"It was bound to happen sooner or later. Since you won't tell me anything, I'm not going to be a third wheel."
She patted her legs, got up, and walked towards the back garden.
Looking at her slightly lonely and dejected figure, Du Qianyun felt a pang of pity.
"Yun Shen, are we really not going to tell her?"
“Telling her now won’t do her any good. You don’t know she has a short temper. If she goes straight to Jiang Lan, it will be very disadvantageous for her.”
Did the doctor say when she would regain her memory?
"She recovers quickly. Maybe she'll recover as soon as she receives treatment, given the right opportunity."
Ji Fuying hid in the corner and overheard their conversation clearly.
Who is Jiang Lan?
Why would she kill herself?
What kind of opportunity could allow her to regain her memories?
She wandered aimlessly into the back garden and saw that the once bare trees were now adorned with red lanterns. Only then did she remember that tomorrow was New Year's Eve.
On days when families reunite, will her family miss her?
And that tiny figure in my mind, is that her daughter?
If that's true, wouldn't she be crying and looking for her mother right now?
Country A.
I don't remember lying weakly in the hospital bed.
Anhe and Xia Changhuan each took care of her on one side.
"Grandma, Grandma, I miss Mommy so much, when is she coming back?"
In the past, whenever she was sick, her mother would rush back no matter where she was. Why didn't she do that this time?
She slept on the floor for half the night hoping to get sick so that her mother would come back and take care of her.
But Mommy still hasn't come back. Has she given up on her memories?
Or perhaps Mommy has gone to heaven, just like they say on TV, and will never come back.
"Buyi, your mommy still has things to take care of. Can you wait a little longer?"
Anhe, fighting back tears, comforted Buyi. She also longed for Yingying. Where was she?
Xia Changhuan turned her head to the side and secretly wiped away her tears.
She didn't know how many days Sui Sui had been missing, but it felt like several years.
Something must have happened to her, otherwise she wouldn't have been willing to abandon her family.
Ji Ze opened the door and came in with the medicine. "Mom, Aunt Lu, you should go down and rest first. I'll take care of Buyi."
"Okay," they both agreed at the same time.
They need to rest well to have the energy to take care of Buyi, so they all listen to Jize.
The door was closed again, leaving only Jize and Buyi in the room.
"Buyi, if you dare to be so willful again, your little bottom will be in for a beating."
"Uncle, no, Uncle, what do you mean? I'm too young to understand."
Ji Ze lifted her head, making her look into his eyes. "You can fool others, but you can't fool me. How did you get sick?"
"I guess... I might kick off the covers in the middle of the night." Bu Yi turned her head away guiltily.
That wicked uncle, he really knew she was pretending to be sick, which is why he prescribed such bitter medicine to try and make her suffer.
I'm too young to beat you now, but when I grow up, I'll give you the bitterest medicine, and if you don't take it, I'll beat you until you do.
Ji Ze narrowed his eyes. "What? Are you thinking about how you're going to deal with me later?"
His little schemes are written all over his face; he still needs more practice to figure out how to scheme against people.
"Hmph, then I'm ignoring you." Bu Yi turned her back to him, refusing to look at him.
"Okay, then I'll go and tell everyone that you pretended to be sick."
Ji Ze made a move to leave, but as soon as he lifted his buttocks, Bu Yi pulled him back.
"I'll talk to you, okay? No wonder you can't find a wife if you're so fond of tattling." She muttered under her breath.
Uncle and Dad are only a few years apart in age, but she's already old enough to run errands, while Uncle is still single.
It must be a problem with his character; he likes to give others bitter medicine, which is why no girl wants to marry him.
Oh, how pitiful.
"Take back that pitying look. I just don't want to look for someone. Otherwise, you wouldn't be able to count all the people who like me."
"You're just bragging." Bu Yi still looked unconvinced.
"It seems the medicine I took before wasn't bitter enough. I'll go get a different one."
"No, I was wrong. Uncle is the most handsome man. The number of people who like you could circle the earth. Is it okay to flatter him like this?"
So-so.
"Could we switch to a sweet medicine?"
