Chapter Fifty-Six: Something Happened at the Company

"Wife!" Jiang Cheng exclaimed, covering his cheek that had just been pinched.

Feeling guilty, Song Yuwei let out a soft "Ah," then whispered in his ear, "Don't tell anyone!"

Jiang Cheng was stunned for a moment. Jiang Mo, who was in the driver's seat, turned around when he heard his second brother suddenly shout, "What's wrong, brother?"

Mu Yueqing also turned her head to look over.

Jiang Cheng looked at Song Yuwei and swallowed hard. "Oh, it's nothing. I just missed my wife, so I called her."

Jiang Mo: ? ? ?

Missing your wife?

There are only four people here now, and the two of them are sitting next to each other, facing each other. He is still thinking about his wife, which shows how deep his second brother's love-struck mind is!

Upon arriving at the amusement park, Jiang Mo immediately asked them with a mischievous grin, "Are you brave enough? If you are, your brother will take you to try some thrilling rides."

Song Yuwei nodded; she also really wanted to play.

Mu Yueqing hesitated for a few seconds, then said, "Okay."

Jiang Cheng followed Song Yuwei, naturally adopting the attitude that if his wife could do it, so could he.

It turned out that Jiang Mo was serious, and he immediately took them to ride the roller coaster.

The roller coaster here is known as the number one roller coaster in China's top ten roller coasters, and of course, it is also the number one most terrifying roller coaster in China.

"So tall!" Mu Yueqing exclaimed in surprise.

Jiang Mo put his hands on his hips and said, "What's wrong? Are you scared? I told you, girls are more timid, so you shouldn't try such difficult activities. But since you insisted on trying, I brought you here."

Song Yuwei: "Who said we're scared? We're just sighing."

Mu Yueqing nodded frantically in agreement, "Yes, yes!"

Jiang Cheng: "Yes."

Seeing that they were still so stubborn, Jiang Mo proudly led them to sit down.

After they finished, all four of them came down.

Jiang Mo held a plastic bag and vomited violently, vomiting until he was dizzy and disoriented, as if he wasn't the one who had smugly said that girls were timid before he went up to them.

The other three people, however, were perfectly fine, acting as if nothing had happened, all staring at him intently.

"Jiang Mo, haven't you been here many times before? And you even mocked us for being cowards earlier, what's wrong with you now? Can't handle it anymore?"

Mu Yueqing asked, amused.

Jiang Mo vomited repeatedly, and could no longer even speak coherently.

Because of Jiang Mo's vomiting and discomfort, they couldn't continue with the next activity, so they found a place to eat.

Jiang Mo sat in the dining chair, covering his mouth, his face as pale as paper.

"Here, have a glass of water."

Song Yuwei handed her a glass of warm water.

Jiang Mo took it and drank it down in one gulp.

"Ugh! I'm never riding a roller coaster again!"

He angrily put down his water glass and said firmly.

Song Yuwei handed the menu to Jiang Cheng, letting him order first.

"Having been here so many times before, shouldn't I have sat here before?"

Jiang Mo was dejected.

"Oh, I've never ridden that before. I used to only ride small rides like the carousel and swings. I never go near these big rides. If it weren't for today..."

Mu Yueqing laughed heartily, "So you were trying to be a hero for us, but you almost lost your life because of this. You were vomiting so badly just now, I thought you were alright."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Mo felt utterly humiliated!

Just as Song Yuwei was about to continue laughing, her phone screen lit up. She had turned it off silent, so the call went unnoticed.

She glanced at the caller ID; it was Shen Jin.

She pressed the answer button and held the phone to her ear.

"What's wrong, Shen Jin?"

"President Song! Something's happened!"

"What is it?" Song Yuwei frowned, a sense of foreboding creeping over her.

"Didn't the company just sign a few new artists? And then we arranged some resources for them. One of the artists was on his way to an audition today when he suddenly got into a car accident!"

"How are you now? Is your life in danger?"

"Yes! He's still undergoing emergency surgery. The doctor said it's quite serious, and he might..."

"Then I'll go to the hospital to get checked out now."

"No! Mr. Song, the most serious thing is that the artist's parents somehow got the news and, seeing that the artist was seriously injured and couldn't be taken out of the operating room, they came directly to the company crying and shouting, saying that our company's staff were irresponsible and that this happened!"

"Was he sent to the audition by one of our company's staff?"

"Yes! Because this artist made a request before, saying that he gets carsick and doesn't have a driver's license. If he has work commitments, he needs the company to arrange a car and have company staff take him there."

"Okay, I understand."

Song Yuwei hung up the phone and said to them, "I have to go now, I have some things to take care of. You guys eat."

Song Yuwei was about to leave in her wheelchair when Jiang Cheng stood up. "Wife, where are you going? I'll push you there."

Song Yuwei shook her head, "You should just eat your food!"

Jiang Cheng objected, grabbing the wheelchair. "Wife, your hands are all chafed from constantly rolling around in the wheelchair!"

Song Yuwei stopped and looked at her hands. Indeed, both hands were chafed and scraped, but she hadn't noticed it.

But how did Jiang Cheng find out?

Suddenly, she recalled the scene from when she woke up that morning, with Jiang Cheng holding her arm; that must have been when he saw her.

I didn't expect him to be so thoughtful.

"Brother, you shouldn't go. What if something happens to your wife? You should go with her..."

Jiang Mo was about to dissuade her when Song Yuwei suddenly said, "Let's go, Jiang Cheng, push me out of the restaurant first, and we'll take a taxi."

Jiang Mo hesitated, worried that if something really happened to his sister-in-law, his second brother might cause her trouble, given his current mental state.

"Maybe I should come along too."

Song Yuwei waved her hand, glanced at Mu Yueqing, and said, "You two can sit here and eat in peace. We'll meet up again after I've finished dealing with my business."

Jiang Mo trusted Song Yuwei, and the Jiang family had people all over City A, so he didn't stop Jiang Cheng from leaving alone with Song Yuwei.

This was the first time Jiang Cheng had gone out with outsiders since he fell ill.

Jiang Cheng pushed Song Yuwei to the side of the road. The two hailed a taxi, and after getting in, Song Yuwei asked Jiang Cheng, "Are you hungry?"

Jiang Cheng shook his head. "I'm not hungry."

Song Yuwei thought there must be a supermarket or something near the hospital entrance, so she could buy him some food.

The taxi arrived at the city hospital quickly. Jiang Cheng got out of the car, took the wheelchair out of the trunk, and opened it. Song Yuwei was helped into the wheelchair by him.

The two then walked toward the supermarket, but just then, Song Yuwei saw a familiar figure.

It's Qin Anyu.

What a small world! He came to see her yesterday, but he didn't come today, yet they still managed to bump into each other.

Qin Anyu clearly spotted her at a glance and walked towards her.
