Chapter Thirty-Six: Crying Old Zhao

Before she knew it, the wedding was about to begin. Song Yuwei went back to the Lin family in the morning because the wedding procession from the Jiang family was going to the Lin family to pick up the bride.

Upon hearing that his daughter was getting married, Zhao Yunye's sharp eyes blurred with tears. In the car, he gave Song Yuwei countless instructions and reminders.

"Daughter! If the Jiang family dares to bully you, tell your father, and I'll hang their whole family from the ceiling and beat them for a whole day! I'll beat them to death!"

He said these harsh words, sounding really fierce, but in reality, he cried like a little kitten, whimpering, which was quite strange.

Perhaps it was because he was used to being decisive and efficient in the business world that he was crying so hard at this moment. The two people sitting in the driver's seat and the passenger seat were trying hard not to laugh.

After all, President Zhao's temper wasn't just talk; the two of them exchanged a glance, trembling with suppressed laughter.

Who would have thought that Mr. Zhao, who is usually so arrogant, domineering, and fearless, would have such a day!

"Dad... can you please stop crying? You've been crying ever since I woke up. The tears are like a tap that's never turned off, just endless streams. People who know you might think you're unhappy because I got married and you're reluctant to part with your daughter, so you're crying. But people who don't know you might think I have a terminal illness..."

Song Yuwei's lips twitched awkwardly; she really felt...

Um……

Upon hearing her say that, Zhao Yunye immediately waved his hand, "How can you say such a thing? Quickly, spit it out! Don't say such unlucky things! What terminal illness or not! It's all nonsense!"

Song Yuwei nodded. "So, ptooey, ptooey," she then looked at him and asked with concern, "Are you all better now?"

Zhao Yunye nodded, sniffing. His sweet daughter had finally been found a few days ago, and now she was about to be kidnapped by someone else.

His life is so miserable! How could it be so miserable! Why did his daughter get married at twenty instead of forty?

Many older unmarried women may not be able to get married even in their 40s. If his daughter were that kind of person, she could stay at home with him for more than 20 years, which would make up for the regret of her not being at home all these years.

Zhao Yunye just thought about it and it felt wonderful.

"Dad, why are you crying one minute and laughing the next? I think this might be a bit..."

Ever-changing?

Song Yuwei really wanted to speak, but Zhao Yunye didn't give her the chance at all. He suddenly seemed to have thought of something happy.

"Yuwei! Wouldn't it be so great if you got married when you were over 40? You got married at 20, but your father isn't very satisfied with your husband."

So if you ever want a divorce, just tell your dad, and I'll take you both to the Civil Affairs Bureau! Get a divorce as quickly as possible. It's okay, divorce is a normal thing, so don't feel like you can't accept it. Even if you get divorced, your dad can find a better son-in-law and a better person to take care of you!

Besides, there are no good men in this world! Haven't you heard the saying, "Men are all big pigs"? That's a golden rule! It's best for you to stay with Mom and Dad, spending the rest of your days with us. That's much more comfortable than being with a bad man!

The more Song Yuwei listened, the more absurd and unreliable it seemed.

Her father is really something! If other people had daughters who were still single and not getting married, they would have gone crazy with worry, eagerly arranging all sorts of blind dates for their daughters, hoping that their daughters could get married as soon as possible and not become "leftover women" (unmarried women over 30).

He not only doesn't want her to marry into his family, but he also wants her to wait until she's 40 to get married. By then, she'll be old and faded, and who will want to marry her? And most importantly, Zhao Yunye keeps saying that all men are big pigs, but what about himself?

"Dad, don't create gender antagonism." Song Yuwei couldn't help but chuckle, almost bursting out laughing.

"Waaah! Daughter, how many truly good men have you met? Those men make all sorts of promises before marrying you, but they might not treat you well after they bring you home. Of course, if the man you marry dares to treat you badly in the slightest, or dares to say a single thing that makes you unhappy, just call your father over. I'll risk my old life for you..."

Zhao Yunye became more and more agitated as he spoke. He hadn't even met his son-in-law yet, and he was already plotting to murder him.

That's really impressive!

Song Yuwei was impressed.

"Dad, don't be ridiculous..."

The two of them argued back and forth until they finally arrived at the Lin family's door.

The entrance to the Lin family's house was already decorated quite grandly. Lin Huali and Chen Zimei were dressed like the bride's parents today, and Ren Yuran was even wearing a bridesmaid dress that was comparable to a wedding dress. She specially chose a very expensive bridesmaid dress, and the shop assistant even said that the dress could be used as a wedding dress.

But she still chose it!

Today is the day she can get up close and personal with Jiang Mo. Just imagining him standing so handsomely next to her as her best man, she's determined to use all her strength and effort to catch the bouquet when it's thrown up!

Then she instructed the emcee in advance to pretend to make things difficult for her, asking her to find a man on the spot, hold a bouquet of flowers, add the man's contact information, and take a photo with the man.

That would be the best!

"Little sister, can you come over here and I want to talk to you for a bit?"

As the Jiang family's wedding procession was about to arrive, Ren Yuran looked at Song Yuwei with some anxiety.

Song Yuwei replied in a very "friendly" manner, "Sure, sister, I'd like to know what you're planning to say?"

Without saying a word, Ren Yuran walked behind her and pushed her wheelchair to a large tree on the roadside not far away.

Everyone stared at the two figures with great confusion.

Zhao Yunye felt even more empty inside, as the time he could spend with his daughter was already so limited!

"What exactly happened?" Song Yuwei's tone seemed to have turned colder.

But Ren Yuran didn't have the mind to think too much right now. "Little sister, I know that many of the things I did before might have upset you, and I apologize for that. After all, everyone makes mistakes, and I believe you have too. I really feel that I shouldn't have said those hurtful things to you. I hope that there won't be so many conflicts between us sisters. Can we make up?"

Looking at Ren Yuran's eager expression, Song Yuwei knew that she had said so much nonsense without revealing her purpose.

"Excuse me, sis, what's wrong? Just tell me."
