Chapter Twenty-Six: Wedding Photos (6)

Madam Jiang turned around, preparing to walk towards the door. After taking a few steps, she suddenly stopped, turned her head, and looked at Song Yuwei.

"Miss Song, is there something I could like to discuss with you privately outside?"

Song Yuwei glanced at Jiang Cheng and Jiang Mo, then agreed, "Okay."

Although she had never interacted with this Madam Jiang, she could tell from her and Jiang Mo's reactions that the family's relationships were quite complicated.

All she wanted in life was excitement and fun; she couldn't miss anything interesting.

So of course I agreed.

She and Madam Jiang went to another room, and then Madam Jiang closed the door.

"Miss Song, I know it might be a bit presumptuous of me to speak to you like this, but I just want to ask, do you know that your uncle and aunt agreed to marry you into our family in order to secure a project for our group?"

Song Yuwei didn't expect Madam Jiang to be so direct, getting straight to the point as soon as she came in.

But that's exactly what she likes!

"I don't know, but I had a suspicion that some huge interest must have driven them to make this decision."

Song Yuwei answered truthfully.

Then, Madam Jiang continued, "But did they consult you? Or rather, after you actually saw our Ah Cheng today, did you have any thoughts or feelings?"

Song Yuwei knew that Madam Jiang was trying to get information out of her. "Oh, I don't really have any feelings for him. I think he's a good person. As for whether my uncle and aunt asked for my opinion before I married into the family, it doesn't seem to matter now, does it? After all, the wedding is about to take place."

Mrs. Jiang pondered for a few seconds, then looked at her somewhat apologetically, "Miss Song, perhaps it's inappropriate for me to say certain things given my position and status, but I still have to tell you, my son Cheng sometimes has seizures..."

Before she could finish stammering, Song Yuwei interrupted her, "Sometimes the attacks are quite severe, right?"

Madam Jiang nodded slightly. "Of course, I'm telling you this so that you're too young to take it personally and can be mentally prepared."

Song Yuwei could already guess what kind of relationship existed between Madam Jiang and Jiang Cheng and Jiang Mo. "Madam Jiang, actually, there is a type of person I don't quite understand. Could you explain it to me?"

Suddenly, Song Yuwei asked a question. Madam Jiang was a little confused. She didn't understand why Song Yuwei would ask her if she didn't understand a certain type of person.

"Tell me about it," Madam Jiang said, seemingly quite patient, wanting to help her answer.

"This kind of person is actually quite ridiculous. They clearly dislike the other person and mind all sorts of things about them, but when they face the other person, they still greet them with a smile and even act very respectfully and disobey them."

But once the other person leaves, she starts saying all sorts of bad things about them, cursing them, and trying to trip them up. What kind of mentality does this person have?

Song Yuwei's words were captivating and deeply moving. Madam Jiang, being exceptionally intelligent, naturally knew who she was referring to.

She gave an awkward laugh and didn't say anything.

Song Yuwei continued, "Actually, these kinds of people are very simple. They all have one name: sluts."

After saying that, Song Yuwei rolled her wheelchair, opened the door, and went out.

Looking in the direction she left, Madam Jiang's calm, dignified, and gentle demeanor, which had remained composed throughout, finally changed.

After Song Yuwei went out, she wheeled herself to the entrance of the venue, where Jiang Mo, Jiang Cheng, and their group were waiting for her.

"Sister-in-law, you haven't had dinner yet, have you? Let's go eat together."

Jiang Mo no longer calls his future sister-in-law; he just calls her "sister-in-law."

Song Yuwei agreed without blushing or skipping a beat, "Okay, hahaha."

They left in a group of cheerful voices.

After Song Yuwei got into the car, Jiang Cheng blinked his innocent, naive eyes and asked her, "Wife, where would you like to eat?"

Song Yuwei didn't expect Jiang Cheng to care about her so much, even letting her choose where to eat.

She has never been particular about what she eats and is easy to feed, so she said nonchalantly, "I'm fine with whatever I eat. I'm easy to feed and don't have any dietary restrictions."

Jiang Cheng nodded and said to Jiang Mo, who was inexplicably fed dog food again in the passenger seat, "Then let's go eat Western food. My wife will definitely love Western food!"

Jiang Mo covered his face, his heart aching even more. "Okay."

They went to the best Western restaurant in the entire city of A, and booked the whole place. Song Yuwei took the menu from the waiter and glanced at it casually.

Just as she expected, the dishes on the menu cost 20,000 yuan for a single steak, and none of the other dishes were less than 10,000 yuan.

"Give me this one, and this one too, and this one as well..."

Song Yuwei's composed manner of ordering food made Jiang Mo seem somewhat hesitant.

He looked up almost everything about Song Yuwei, including all the information she had ever had in her life, on behalf of his second brother.

She was clearly just a slum girl who grew up in an orphanage funded by outside donations, and even her daily clothes were the cheapest street vendor items.

According to the records of the pants she was wearing, they were made by a clothing wholesale factory many years ago and cost only about twenty yuan.

Twenty-odd yuan wasn't even enough to buy him a piece of candy, but that's how she got by.

But the way she orders food now doesn't seem like the way an ignorant girl who has never seen the world and has been locked up in an orphanage all day would act.

She even seemed very experienced, just like those of them who had been there many times before.

"Sister-in-law, have you been here before?"

After Song Yuwei finished ordering, Jiang Cheng suddenly couldn't help but ask her.

Song Yuwei was a little puzzled. "No."

“But judging from your expression, you seem very familiar with all of this,” Jiang Mo said.

Song Yuwei slapped her forehead. She remembered. She had forgotten that her habits had made her completely used to it. She should pretend a little!

But in her previous life, she was in such situations all the time, eating dishes worth tens of thousands of yuan almost every day, which was perfectly normal for her.

But now it seems that we can't do that anymore.

"Oh, I often read novels and watch TV series. The plots are quite detailed, and girls like to imagine things. After watching a lot, they will act them out in their minds. Over time, it will become a habit that is ingrained in their bones."

Although Song Yuwei's reason wasn't perfect, she couldn't think of any other one.

Jiang Mo is very smart; if she says anything else, he will only become suspicious.

After saying this, Jiang Mo just smiled knowingly and didn't ask any further questions. "I see. Well, it seems that romance novels and dramas are quite interesting."
