"Cheng Chao, stop dawdling and hurry up, or everyone will fall asleep."
Cheng Chao was helpless. He was full of energy at night and would have had the strength to go out and mess around in the woods in the middle of the night. But as soon as it got light, he was so sleepy. He had only been quiet for a short while.
This kid, really, when he gets into trouble he doesn't care about anything.
"Hurry up, get in the car."
As he closed the car door, he asked,
"What would you like to eat later? I'll make it for you."
Simple and dazed, he settled himself into his seat and leaned against the passenger door, muttering to himself.
"I don't want to eat, I want to sleep."
"no,"
Cheng Chao started the car and slowly turned it around.
"I haven't slept all night, so I can't go hungry. Is there anything I have at home?"
"Hmm? There are noodles, dumplings, and eggs,"
Cheng Chao made the decision himself.
"Okay, when you get home you should wash up first, I'll make you a whole steamed egg cake, eat it before you go to sleep."
The village entrance wasn't far from here, and the swaying car made it hard to sleep soundly, so we soon entered the village.
"Okay, come and open the door."
After eating the chicken cake, Jian Dan threw herself onto the warm kang (heated brick bed), not even noticing when Cheng Chao left. Cheng Chao locked the door from the inside before climbing over the wall to leave.
When she woke up again, the sun was already setting. There was a loud banging on the door. Mingzhu outside was extremely anxious. What was wrong with this person? He hadn't shown up all day and hadn't sent any message. It was driving her crazy.
"You can't just tell me where she went. I'm afraid something might happen to her if she's alone."
Lin Dongfang didn't know that Jian Dan came to pick him up yesterday, but he wasn't in a hurry. Jian Dan wasn't the impulsive type; she always had a plan in mind. She probably had something urgent to attend to.
However, this lock is a bit confusing. Why is it locked from the inside and not from the outside?
Just then, the door creaked open, followed by a simple, lazy sound accompanied by a yawn.
"Coming, coming! Stop knocking, or you'll break the door. Who is it?"
Mingzhu immediately felt relieved.
Is she at home?
"Look how anxious you are, what could possibly be wrong with her?"
With that kind of anxiousness, anyone else would be jealous.
As soon as the door opened, Mingzhu hugged him tightly.
"What have you been doing all day? I've come here several times, why haven't you said a word?"
He froze for a moment, then relaxed.
"You've arrived?"
I didn't hear you. I didn't sleep well last night, so I tried to catch up on sleep today, but I was still half asleep and didn't eat lunch.
Lin Dongfang glanced at the familiar tire tracks outside the door but didn't expose them. He could guess that there was probably something they couldn't say.
"Alright, alright, you've slept all day, you definitely don't know what's going on outside. Why don't you two go inside and have a good talk?"
"What happened? What happened? Has someone else arrived?"
