Chapter 700 These two surnames, didn't you think of anything?

"Tsk tsk! How did you end up like this in just two days?"

Cheng Chao, who had just stood up, met her mocking gaze. His old face went blank, and he forced a smile.

"Don't even mention it, it's a miracle you even came back,"

Seeing his family brought back his weariness, so he simply handed them the teacup.

"Get him some water and give him some medicine; he's had a fever for four or five days."

Seeing that it was simple, he knew without a doubt that the medicine was provided by them, and he immediately felt relieved.

"Thank goodness you guys are here. I couldn't buy a single medicine at the hospital here. If we had waited until the station, who knows how badly this person would have been burning up?"

This was the connection between the two carriages, so getting water was quick. After administering the fever reducer, Cheng Chao finally felt relieved and plopped down on the ground.

"I'm exhausted! Is there anything to eat? Hurry up and get me some, I'm starving!"

To be honest, Cheng Chao looked rather pathetic right now, even more disheveled than the last time we met. His eyes were bloodshot, his double eyelids were drooping, and even his last bit of energy seemed to be forced.

Qin Qinghuai simply squatted down and pulled the person up.

"There's still one day left. We have seats over there, let's go and rest for a bit."

"Hey, train attendant, could you lend a hand? They're bothering other passengers, including you. Could you please help us move them to our carriage? I'll buy the other sleeper ticket later."

The implication is that you shouldn't sell it to anyone else.

Knowing the identity of this person and Cheng Chao, they naturally agreed to the request. They immediately called over two nearby train attendants, who helped and dragged the feverish person along. The other two attendants were able to take care of themselves, so with someone's help, there was no problem.

Qin Yi waited patiently in the carriage. Although Qin Qinghuai's martial arts skills were average, he was capable of easily defeating most people with simple combat skills, so he had no worries about that.

He jumped up almost simultaneously when the carriage was kicked open with a "bang."

"What? Huh? Brother Chao?"

All four sleeper berths were given to Cheng Chao and his three companions. Qin Qinghuai took out a bundle containing clothes and fabric for Jian Dan to sit on, while the two of them simply sat on the floor, something they were used to and felt very natural about.

The group was starving; the food they had just brought out on a small table was almost instantly emptied by half. With their stomachs full, Cheng Chao finally had the energy to talk to them properly.

"Weren't you going back to take care of some business? How did it go? Did you get it done?"

Looking briefly at Qin Qinghuai, it seemed they had indeed accomplished something significant, but it was something they couldn't discuss now.

"Okay, it's all taken care of, bro. Are these all professors you invited back?"

The one who took the medicine and Cheng Chao were on the lower bunk, while the other two were moved to the upper bunk and were already asleep.

Cheng Chao nodded.

"This is Professor Wei, a renowned professor of agronomy."

The two professors mentioned above, Professor Yu and Professor Zhu, are both experts in agriculture and animal husbandry. Their guidance will be indispensable for our future development.

Seeing that Cheng Chao's eyes were almost closed, Qin Qinghuai didn't ask any further questions.

"We'll keep an eye on things, so you can get some rest."

Seeing that he was looking at her, she quickly said,

"You go to sleep. I just woke up. If I'm sleepy or tired, I'll find a seat myself."

Cheng Chao was indeed struggling to stay awake. After saying a few words, he closed his eyes and started snoring.

I didn't notice it when we were busy, but now that it's suddenly quiet, the snoring is deafening, and the doors of the carriage can no longer be closed. It's not only disturbing the neighbors, but the smell is also getting worse.

"There's still a bloody smell. I wonder how badly he's injured?"

Qin Qinghuai comforted him,

"It shouldn't be a big problem. Brother Chao isn't someone who doesn't know what's important. With you here, he has no reason to be stubborn just to save money or anything. He can't possibly be unaware of what's important and urgent, right?"

Even simple concerns can cloud judgment; upon hearing this, she could only nod and lean against the man.

"What has he been through? It's just picking up a few people, right? All the procedures are in compliance with regulations, why does it look like a war has broken out?"

The places she went to in the countryside were relatively simple and honest, but these days there aren't many places like that anymore. Most places are driven by self-interest and power struggles. She had limited contact with them, but Qin Yi, who was good at running errands, knew a lot about it.

"Sister-in-law, there's a lot to say about that."

Don't be fooled by the fact that it's just a demotion; it's far from simple. Some of those people down there wield their power like royalty, while many others are acting on orders to bully others. Many take advantage of this opportunity to kick someone when they don't have a grudge, while gratitude is rarely remembered.

That's quite ironic. It makes one wonder if Qin Yi's experience was so profound and real because he had gone through it himself.

But she wasn't interested in other people's privacy, so she didn't ask any more questions. She then quietly began to talk about what would happen after she got back.

"So, when they go back, will they stay in the staff quarters or your dormitories?"

"The dorm is full of single men, and their schedules are quite strict, so it's not really possible to get a proper rest."

As you can see, these professors and one female colleague are obviously not suitable for the dormitory, so they can only be arranged in the staff quarters. I was thinking that it would be better to arrange for all three of them to be in the staff quarters, which would be fair and impartial.

Having been sent down to the countryside for so long, they must have experienced the coldness and warmth of human relationships. Compared to the cold and impersonal dormitories, the family compound at least feels like home.

What do you think?

Simply shake your head.

"That's the logic, but you may have considered things more comprehensively. I won't offer my opinion."
