With these two new litters of babies in the family, Jian Dan and Qin Qinghuai definitely had more work to do, and more worries, such as how to settle these eight babies in the future.
But it's actually the little ones who get really busy.
They were so busy they were practically taking off.
When it's mealtime, she forgets about eating herself and only thinks about feeding the kittens. Since they are still small, they can only be fed formula. Every day, every meal is prepared by the adults, but she has to watch over them and feed them by hand.
Then, I went to the garden to pick vegetables and came back to feed the rabbits. After all, there was a litter of newborn rabbits. The instructions were simple: tear them into pieces. So feeding the baby rabbits took half a day.
Then, I went back to my room to have breakfast with my parents.
After eating, she stopped being naughty. The first day was because she was too dirty. After that, I would let her sunbathe during the day, then give her a bath at noon, and then take a nap with her.
If she's in a good mood after waking up, she'll put all the kittens in a big basin to give them a bath, which is basically just playing in the water.
They no longer care about the rabbits they once longed for.
Moreover, after the news of the wolf cub spread in a small circle after the first day, Commander Lin and several junior leaders in the camp wanted to see what was going on. Even the old man showed it off to Professor Wei and the others. With the news leaking out from one side to another, soon many children in the family compound knew that Qin Huanyan had rabbits and puppies at home, and they also wanted to come and see them.
Kids love lively things.
So Jian Dan was forced to receive wave after wave of visitors. The ones from the military region were easy to deal with; since Qin Qinghuai wasn't there, they generally wouldn't come alone, or someone would come with the old man, so she didn't have to worry about them.
However, she really had no idea what to do with those waves of little guests. Before, in Liujiatun, she was able to get so close to those kids because of her good help in getting them to cooperate. Jian Xin, Hu Zi, and Xiao Hua were there. Later, Cheng Rui and Cheng Chao went, so she didn't have many opportunities to interact directly with the children.
The older kids are alright; they're all a bit reserved. Even if they're curious, they'll find a suitable excuse, either by going with their parents or by going to the neighborhood kids. After all, they're all classmates and have connections with each other.
But those kindergarten kids are really hard to understand. They're in the toddler class, so how can they be entertained?
Fortunately, although the time spent in kindergarten and primary school is not exactly the same, the difference is not that much.
So, a few days after the little wolf cubs arrived home, the scene in the family compound was that as soon as school was over, the Qin family's boys who were in elementary school would go straight in through this gate. Unless the people coming were adults, they wouldn't see the Qin family's adults coming out. In this way, the children were more at ease.
After the initial excitement wore off, the house finally became quiet, and Jian Dan breathed a sigh of relief. She really wasn't good at this kind of situation.
The little cub stopped going out to cause trouble, and Jian Dan found himself with nothing to do. Sitting under the eaves, watching the little cub earnestly holding the white wolf cub and wiping its body, he felt that the child was quite well-behaved.
There was something going on at the power plant these past few days, so Qin Qinghuai took Qin Yi and the others out. Jian Dan stayed home with the child and didn't go out at all. The little one has resumed his kindergarten routine, but every morning he still has to outsmart Jian Dan. This morning, she couldn't keep an eye on him and managed to put Xiao Baibai in his schoolbag.
What's even more frustrating is that this thing is small and doesn't make a sound. No one knows how the little guy hid it, and no one noticed it. On the contrary, during the lunch break, the children in this small class usually rush outside to grab the slides and such. The teachers are used to it.
As a result, at noon today, while the children were playing enthusiastically, Lin Nan belatedly realized that the one who was usually the most troublesome was nowhere to be found.
It's no wonder they were worried. Qin Huanyan usually has so much energy that she always manages to exhaust people. It's even stranger that she's suddenly so relaxed today.
When the teachers realized something was wrong, they frantically searched the entire kindergarten. They were really worried, but they couldn't find the child anywhere.
Are you sure she came to school this morning?
The teachers were also quite frightened. Everyone in the residential compound knew that Qin Huanyan was the political commissar's child, the apple of their family's eye. If something happened to her, how would they explain it to her parents? They weren't even sure if they could keep their jobs.
Several of the young teachers panicked, and some were even on the verge of tears.
"Teacher Lin, what should we do?"
“She did come this morning. Her grandfather brought her here today and told her that he would pick her up after school.”
Lin Nan was also pacing anxiously, and after thinking for a while,
"Go find the principal and have someone search the kindergarten again carefully, especially the nooks and crannies. Don't miss any of them, including those inconspicuous dog holes and places where people can hide."
Then, go check on the senior class. Qin Heng, who is her older brother, is in the senior class. Go see if she went to see him.
If neither of these apply, then we need to report it to the military region and then notify the parents.
Clearly not. On the contrary, Qin Heng, having heard the news, has already come to demand the person.
"Where's my sister? Where's my sister? You've lost my sister?"
The child is much more cheerful now, but given his age, he can't really do much to help in this kind of situation.
That's what the teachers thought. They tried to coax and persuade the child to go back, but the little guy was stubborn and refused to do it no matter what. He insisted on going back to find his aunt and grandfather. The child had some impression of what happened last time. He might not understand much, but he knew that his aunt was very capable. Last time, when he and his sister were kidnapped by bad guys, his aunt was able to find them so quickly and even catch the bad guys.
