Chapter 11

Chapter 11

"You don't remember anything?" Song Chu's voice held a hint of surprise and regret.

Danxi's mind was in chaos; her past memories were shrouded in a thick fog, making them impossible to see clearly.

He tried hard to recall, attempting to grasp a clue from that chaos.

Blurry images flashed before his eyes as he traversed an endless, dark space, surrounded by countless flashes of light. He vaguely saw a figure ahead of him, and reached out to grab it, but the figure vanished. Then, a bright light appeared, and the images shattered with a deafening crash.

"When I saw you, you were falling from a great height and landed on the back mountain of the Imperial Pill Sect." Song Chu's words brought Danxi's thoughts back to that moment of falling. He seemed to remember his body falling uncontrollably, with the whistling wind in his ears.

Who is he? What kind of person is he? Where does he come from? His mind was buzzing, but he couldn't find the answers.

"How come the scar on your face suddenly disappeared?" Li Yuan asked curiously, his gaze fixed on Danxi's face. Although he hadn't looked closely just now and didn't know if it was a pattern as his junior sister had described, he was certain that there was a dark, indistinct thing there.

“Yes, I saw it too. It was a round, rather large thing. Where did it go? Was it some kind of evil thing?” Song Chu chimed in.

Danxi looked blank, his eyes revealing confusion. He had no idea what had been on his face.

“It has indeed disappeared. But what I just saw was clearly a pattern,” Jiang Liuya said softly, her voice filled with certainty.

The dense, pale blue lines began at the corners of his eyes and meandered downwards. The outer layer consisted of concentric circles, while the inner layer was composed of fine lines, some curved and some straight. These lines intertwined to form a complex and mysterious pattern.

Jiang Liuya had never seen such a pattern or magic circle before. However, she had an exceptional memory and memorized it after only a couple of glances.

She was in the void, gently tracing with her fingers, as if drawing the pattern she had just seen.

Danxi immediately visualized the pattern Jiang Liuya had drawn in her mind. What was this? Was it some kind of magical mark? Was it related to her amnesia?

Danxi tried hard to recall things, but his head throbbed with pain. It felt as if a sharp knife was twisting inside his brain. He frowned deeply, his expression pained.

Seeing that he seemed to be in a lot of pain, Jiang Liuya kindly interrupted him.

"Since you've appeared at the back mountain of the Imperial Pill Sect, you must have a connection with the sect. If you don't mind, you can recuperate here."

As she spoke, she took out a bottle of pills from her sleeve: "These are Rejuvenation Pills that I refined myself. They might be of some use to you."

Danxi took the small medicine bottle and looked at it, a sense of familiarity welling up in her heart.

Rejuvenation Pill? Recalling the bitter, burnt smell that spread across his tongue before he lost consciousness, he couldn't help but frown.

Danxi still felt lingering fear when she heard about that pill that was so hard to swallow before.

"Did you make this yourself?"

"Yes, is there a problem?"

“This pill has uneven distribution of spiritual energy, resulting in unstable medicinal properties. This is because there was a deviation in the control of the heat during the refining process.” His voice was calm and confident, as if this were quite obvious.

"Fellow Daoist, could you please offer some guidance?" Jiang Liuya humbly asked.

Upon hearing her words, Danxi naturally recalled the steps and methods of alchemy, as if these things were deeply ingrained in his very being.

"In the early stages, use a gentle fire to slowly nurture the herbs, allowing them to fully release their medicinal properties. In the middle stages, switch to a medium fire to accelerate the fusion of the medicinal properties. Finally, use a strong fire to quickly finish the pill," Danxi blurted out.

"Thank you for your guidance, fellow Daoist. I will definitely give it a try." Jiang Liuya thought to herself, "This fellow Daoist is truly interesting. Even though he has amnesia, he is so knowledgeable about alchemy. Could he have been a master alchemist in the past?"

"Fellow Daoist has just woken up, so we won't disturb your rest any longer. If you need anything, you can contact us at any time."

As they spoke, the three left the room. The door closed slowly, and the room fell silent once more.

Danxi lay half-reclined on the bed, staring blankly out the window.

My mind was a complete blank, as if enveloped in a thick fog.

He had no recollection of his identity or origins. Strangely, however, his memories related to cultivation remained unaffected. He could clearly recall various cultivation methods, incantations, and the methods and steps of alchemy.

The mysterious mark that the girl in green had just drawn seemed to contain some kind of profound power, which had a strange attraction for him, but he had no clue about it.

Worse still, his dantian was also sealed. The dantian is the core where a cultivator stores and circulates spiritual energy. At this moment, it was firmly sealed by a restriction, making it difficult for spiritual energy to be exerted. Danxi could feel that the originally surging spiritual energy within his body was now like a stagnant pool, lifeless.

He tried his best to mobilize the meager spiritual energy within his meridians, attempting to break through the restraints at his core. However, the restriction was as solid as a rock, and his meager spiritual energy was like an ant trying to shake a tree; it vanished instantly upon touching the restriction.

Danxi then tentatively used a "Spiritual Attraction Technique," a method that can attract the spiritual energy of heaven and earth.

He flipped his hands quickly, then gently rotated two fingers together, and spiritual energy gathered at his fingertips.

Danxi possessed a single, pure wood-elemental spiritual root, giving him a natural affinity for wood-elemental energy. With a single spirit-guiding incantation, he drew the surrounding wood-elemental energy towards him in a frenzy. Finally, this energy formed a rapidly spinning ball in his hand. He thought to himself, at least the spiritual energy in the air is still usable for me.

In addition, the girl in green he had just seen gave him a strange sense of familiarity.

The feeling was like we had many interactions in the past, and there was an indescribable bond between us.

Her eyes were just smiling faintly, yet they seemed to have held countless emotions.

However, judging from her words and actions just now, the two of them should have never met before.
