Chapter 25 The Palace "No, I don't want to leave you."...
The next morning.
Yue Mingxi was awakened by a nightmare.
Her heart pounded, and Yue Mingxi sat up abruptly in bed.
Suddenly, Yue Mingxi looked at her hands in disbelief.
She can see again.
Unexpectedly, Wu Shanqing's prediction was so accurate; I felt much better after a good night's sleep.
Before she could even feel happy, Yue Mingxi wiped the cold sweat from her forehead and threw back the covers.
Looking at the shoes she was still wearing, Yue Mingxi was speechless.
Wu Shanqing brought her back last night, and sure enough, he didn't take off her shoes again.
I'll wash it when I get back. Right now, the most important thing is to find Wushanqing.
The nightmare she had was so terrifying that she needed to see Wu Shanqing immediately to feel at ease.
Running out, Yue Mingxi saw Wu Shanqing sitting on a recliner under the eaves.
Seeing him appear before her completely unharmed, Yue Mingxi breathed a sigh of relief.
Walking up to Wu Shanqing, Yue Mingxi whispered, "Wu Shanqing, I had a nightmare. I dreamt that you died."
Then, Yue Mingxi watched in disbelief as a line of words appeared above Wu Shanqing's head: "I can't hear or speak, what are you saying?"
Yue Mingxi's eyes widened. "What? Didn't you get to speak yesterday? How come you're deaf and mute again today?"
"I don't know why." Guessing what she would ask, Wu Shanqing wrote in the air with his mind, "Pack your things, I'll take you to Xuanyun Sect."
He's just a wooden block who can type now. She's such a lively person, she'd be incredibly bored with him around.
Yue Mingxi looked at him with heartache and shook her head vigorously, "I'm not going anywhere, I want to stay home with you."
Suddenly remembering how she had accidentally touched Wu Shanqing's lips yesterday, and how Wu Shanqing had immediately been able to speak, Yue Mingxi immediately bent down.
Her fingers haphazardly touched Wu Shanqing's soft lips, and Yue Mingxi carefully touched every part of Wu Shanqing's lips.
Wushan Qing remained motionless in place for a long time.
The places she touched felt like they were on fire, burning all the way to his heart, and his whole body started to heat up.
Yue Mingxi took his hand and wrote words on it.
She wasn't as gentlemanly as Wu Shanqing; she went straight for it. "Now try opening your mouth?"
Wu Shanqing obediently opened his mouth, but there was no surprise like yesterday.
Wu Shanqing thought that it must be because he had been using his heart's blood too frequently.
Undeterred, Yue Mingxi reached out and touched Wu Shanqing's ear again.
The ear trembled slightly as soon as it landed in her hand.
While massaging him, Yue Mingxi looked down and asked, "Can you hear me?"
Receiving no reply, Yue Mingxi's heart sank.
Blinking, Yue Mingxi took his hand and wrote, "Why? Why didn't it work?"
Her writing was extremely frantic, revealing a sense of helplessness.
As she wrote, tears fell onto Wu Shanqing's palm.
Wu Shanqing curled her fingers, raised her other hand, and gently wiped away the tears from the corner of Yue Mingxi's eyes.
A line of text slowly appeared above her head: "Don't cry, I'm fine."
"You said you were fine." Yue Mingxi covered her face with her hands and burst into tears, her voice filled with grievance. "Why couldn't my hands save you? You were perfectly fine yesterday."
Sensing her intense emotional fluctuations, Wu Shanqing pursed her lips.
Things didn't turn out the way he expected at all. He had envisioned her happily spinning around, but instead, she's now so sad she's about to explode.
Wu Shanqing could only try to comfort her with his mind. "Don't cry, you won't die."
When Yue Mingxi saw the words he wrote, she cried even more bitterly.
Wu Shanqing sighed softly, took out a handkerchief from thin air, and wiped away her tears little by little.
"I'll take you to Xuanyun Gate; it's lively there."
Seeing the words reappear above his head, Yue Mingxi shook her head frantically and sniffed.
Grabbing his hand, Yue Mingxi lowered her head and wrote forcefully: "Don't try to send me away. I'm not going anywhere. I want to stay by your side."
“I’ll go with you.”
Yue Mingxi continued writing: "No, I want to stay home."
Although Wu Shanqing never said it outright, Yue Mingxi knew that Wu Shanqing didn't like crowded places.
"It will be very boring at home."
A pang of pain shot through Yue Mingxi's heart. She gently wrote in his palm, "With you here, I'm never bored."
"It will be boring."
"It won't be boring!"
To emphasize this, Yue Mingxi wrote a very large exclamation mark.
"No, we have to go."
"I'm not going."
"So I'll go by myself, leaving you at home?"
“I don’t believe it,” Yue Mingxi wrote confidently.
Wu Shanqing is a person who is cold-hearted but has a sharp tongue; he would never do such a thing.
With a slight pursing of his lips, Wu Shanqing began to unleash a text explosion technique in the air, filling the entire courtyard with the word "go".
Yue Mingxi remained unmoved as the word "go" kept floating towards her.
He wrote stubbornly with his head down: "Whatever you want to eat in the morning, I'll make it."
Wu Shanqing gave his stubborn response, and the word "go" in the air all became larger.
The word "go" was originally only the size of a palm, but now it's as big as her head.
Yue Mingxi waved her hand, knocking away the word "go" that flew onto her head, and wrote: "If you don't say, then I'll just do whatever I want."
The air in the dark mountains was stifling, and three large characters appeared in the sky that seemed to say "Go": "I won't eat!"
Yue Mingxi lowered her head and said, "Then for breakfast we'll have tomato beef brisket, baby bok choy stewed with tofu, shredded pork with garlic sauce, and eight-treasure porridge."
Helping Wu Shanqing sit down in the recliner, Yue Mingxi continued writing: "Sit here and wait for me. I'll come find you when I'm done."
Sensing that she was heading towards the kitchen, Wu Shanqing urged his words in the air to fly towards the kitchen.
Looking at the words rapidly swirling around her, Yue Mingxi chuckled helplessly. How could this guy be so childish?
Looking down at her hands, Yue Mingxi felt troubled.
Her hand didn't work, so I wonder if Wu Shanqing will be able to taste the food she made this time.
While chopping vegetables and deep in thought, Wu Shanqing suddenly walked in.
Yue Mingxi turned to look at him, and Wu Shanqing wrote: "I'm going to make you some tree root soup."
Yue Mingxi raised her arm and shook his sleeve in response.
After feeding her the tree root soup, Wu Shanqing began his verbal attacks again.
"Go! Go! Go."
Gently shaking her head, Yue Mingxi relented, put down the kitchen knife, and softly wrote in his palm, "Okay, let's go after dinner, alright?"
Having achieved her goal, Wu Shanqing curled her lips into a smile, washed the bowl of herbs, and began to help her with the tasks.
The two were eating under the crooked tree.
Yue Mingxi nervously wrote a question for him, "Can you taste the flavors of these dishes?"
Wu Shanqing nodded.
Looking at him suspiciously, Yue Mingxi lowered her head and wrote seriously: "Really? Don't lie to me."
"Seriously, I won't eat it if it doesn't have any flavor."
Looking at the words in the air, Yue Mingxi breathed a sigh of relief.
After dinner, Yue Mingxi quickly pressed down on Wu Shanqing, saying, "I'll take a shower today, you go and rest."
Wushan Qing remained unmoved, and it took Yuemingxi a long time to persuade him to leave.
After washing the dishes, Wu Shanqing couldn't wait to write a message urging Yue Mingxi to hurry up.
"Get your clothes ready, we're going to stay at Xuanyun Gate."
After bustling around for a while and tidying up her clothes, Yue Mingxi wrote a message asking him, "Where are your clothes? I'll go pack them for you."
Wu Shanqing shook his head and wrote: "It exists in the void."
"Okay, let's go then." Yue Mingxi smiled and smiled.
Summoning the bubbles, Wu Shanqing led Yue Mingxi towards Xuan Yun Gate.
After discovering that she liked bubble-shaped swords, Wu Shanqing never rode a sword with her again.
-
"Hurry, hurry, hurry!" Immortal Venerable Changjing urged the seventeen Immortal Venerables beside him anxiously, "That lord is coming soon, everyone speed up your work."
"We've already used all our strength, Sect Leader." Immortal Venerable Xia He wiped the sweat from his brow.
The sixteen Immortal Venerables beside him nodded in agreement, saying, "That's right, Sect Leader, we can't take it anymore."
Immortal Venerable Changjing said with a pained expression, "After the matter is accomplished, I will give each of you five more divine herbs."
Today, the deity promised to bring him another basket of divine herbs, on the condition that a palace like an imperial palace be built for him at Xuan Yun Sect.
"Then I can use a little more," Immortal Venerable Xiahe immediately changed his mind.
“Me too, me too,” the other immortals chimed in without batting an eye.
Immortal Venerable Changjing looked at them speechlessly, "A bunch of scoundrels, stop talking nonsense and start building."
They were given five plants each from the very beginning, and Mingming assured him that there would be no problem.
Now he's acting like a scoundrel again, and we'll take advantage of him.
"Alright, Sect Leader, I guarantee I'll complete the mission."
A dozen or so celestial beings used their immortal power and stood behind a bamboo forest to begin building a palace.
The atmosphere was harmonious and pleasant, completely unlike the tense scene of yesterday when they were fighting over the apprentice.
Xia He asked in confusion, "Sect Leader, doesn't His Highness the Divine Lord never care about his residence? Why did he specifically ask us to build a palace for him today? And why does he want it to be built like an imperial palace?"
He once accompanied the sect leader to the courtyard to find the Divine Lord. That lord lived in extremely shabby accommodations, clearly someone who didn't care about material possessions at all.
Immortal Venerable Changjing raised his hand and tapped his head. "How could we possibly guess the thoughts of a Divine Venerable?"
"Oh." Xia He shut his mouth and continued to use his immortal power to build the palace.
A dozen or so immortals rushed about, and finally finished building the palace just as Wu Shanqing arrived, and moved all their belongings inside.
Standing before the palace, they prepared to welcome the approaching divine being.
As Feipaopao landed, upon seeing who it was, all seventeen immortals except for Changjing Immortal Venerable stared wide-eyed.
Their most admired disciple has actually descended with His Highness the God!
Xia He flew over first, and the other immortals followed suit.
Immortal Venerable Changjing knew these people were like this; they had absolutely no shame.
After making his rant, Immortal Venerable Changjing flew over as well.
Xia He said, "Miss Yue, you didn't respond yesterday. Would you be willing to become my disciple? I am willing to teach you everything I have learned in my life."
Immortal Venerable Liuyun shoved him away, "Xia He, get out of the way. You are the least qualified to say that here. You are the youngest here, and you still talk about your life's learning. It's laughable."
Xia He snorted and said, "Doesn't that just prove that I'm better than you guys?"
Xuezhi squeezed past from the side, bowed her head and said, "Miss Yue, choose me. I can do anything."
Xie Yu said, "Miss Yue, choose me. I am the most popular Immortal Venerable in the entire sect."
Xia He was shocked and exclaimed speechlessly, "I am the most popular one."
Yue Mingxi stared blankly at them, unsure how to respond.
Wu Shanqing frowned noticeably, and Yue Mingxi noticed it, gently shaking his sleeve to comfort him.
Immortal Venerable Changjing hurriedly pushed his colleagues aside and said sternly, "All of you shut up! What are you arguing about here? You've lived for so many years, and you're getting worse and worse. Get out of here!"
While being fierce, Chang Jing also winked at them.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, it won't happen again."
The seventeen celestial venerables, trembling with fear, looked at the god's ugly face, lowered their heads and apologized in unison, then fled in terror.
After everyone left, Immortal Venerable Changjing apologized, "I'm sorry, you all had to see this. They've all been spoiled by me."
Yue Mingxi shook her head and smiled, "It's alright."
Wu Shanqing took out a basket of herbs from the void and handed it to Chang Jing.
The message, written in the air, read: "Old man, stop talking nonsense and take us inside."
"Alright, alright." Immortal Venerable Changjing extended his hand. "You two have come here. This is the accommodation arranged for you."
Yue Mingxi looked up at the magnificent palace and exclaimed in astonishment, "It's so luxurious!"
Immortal Venerable Changjing humbly replied, "Time is of the essence, please don't mind."
After handing them the keys, Changjing wisely withdrew.
Upon entering the palace, Yue Mingxi brought a chair for Wu Shanqing to sit down and wrote, "Wu Shanqing, this place is so big."
Wu Shanqing wrote in the air: "Do they all really like you?"
Yue Mingxi was stunned for a moment. "I don't know. I only know that they all want me to be their apprentice."
"Don't become their apprentice." Wu Shanqing pursed his lips.
Yuemingxi belongs to him; she can only be associated with him.
"Huh?" Yue Mingxi froze, her fingers tracing the lines of Wu Shanqing's pale palm. "Why?"
"I don't like it."
"But how can I learn cultivation if I don't become an apprentice?"
"I'll teach you." Wu Shanqing lowered his head, carefully sensing her every move.
"Didn't you say you didn't cultivate immortality?"
"Even if you don't want to cultivate immortality, I can still teach you. What do you want to learn?"
Yue Mingxi blinked, "I want to learn how to cultivate immortality."
Sister Bai told her that cultivating immortality could prolong the lives of mortals.
Wu Shanqing paused, realizing he didn't know how to do that.
Frowning unhappily, Wu Shanqing said, "Fine, I'll go talk to them and tell them to let you study without becoming an apprentice."
"Okay, I'll listen to you," Yue Mingxi said, her eyes crinkling with a smile.
"Go and go play with your Sister Bai, I have some urgent business to attend to," Wu Shanqing wrote.
"No, I don't want to leave you."
Wu Shanqing secretly curled the corners of her lips, "I really have something to do. If you're not leaving, I'm leaving."
“Okay, when are you coming back?” Yue Mingxi asked him.
"Half an hour."
"Okay, I'll come find you in half an hour."
Sensing that Yue Mingxi had left, Wu Shanqing revealed the hidden storage pouch that had been hanging on his waist.
He secretly hung up the storage pouch in the middle of the night on the day Yue Mingxi gave it to him.
However, since he had personally said he didn't need it, Wu Shanqing was too embarrassed to let Yue Mingxi know about it. But he really wanted to keep it on his person, so he cast an invisibility spell on the storage bag.
After thinking for a moment, Wu Shanqing raised his finger and used magic to write four large characters on the small storage bag.
"The moon shines brightly on the stream."
He wanted all the immortals who admired Yue Mingxi to know that this storage bag was a gift from Yue Mingxi.
Having done all this, Wu Shanqing got up and went to find the dozen or so deities.
It's impossible for Yue Mingxi to become their apprentice.
