Chapter 38 Black Dragon "You can't lick it anymore, it hurts."...
Winter is almost here, and the mountains are shrouded in mist, with a light drizzle falling.
Yue Mingxi yawned, feeling dizzy and lightheaded.
I didn't sleep all night, and I was even walking unsteadily.
After coming out of the house, Yue Mingxi rubbed her eyes hard and walked towards the well.
After washing up with cold water, I slowly began to regain consciousness.
Weary, Yue Mingxi sat down on the recliner and became distressed.
Where did Wu Shanqing go? Didn't he promise to come back every night?
With a soft sigh, Yue Mingxi inwardly berated herself.
Yue Mingxi, look at you, how can you be so useless?
It's just one night since you didn't come back, and you're acting like it's a major crisis, not sleeping a wink all night. Is it really necessary?
However, Yue Mingxi sighed; she simply couldn't control her heart.
Having gotten used to spending every day with Wushanqing, the feeling of emptiness is just too painful to bear when I'm all alone again.
Standing up, Yue Mingxi prepared to go find Wu Shanqing.
Although Wu Shanqing was very powerful, Yue Mingxi was still worried that Wu Shanqing might encounter danger.
This worry began in the palace, and the large amount of black blood that Wu Shanqing vomited that night was deeply etched in Yue Mingxi's heart. Even in the desolate, dark snowfield, she could find Wu Shanqing.
This time, she will definitely be able to find Wushanqing.
After quickly tidying herself up and eating a few pieces of osmanthus cake that Wu Shanqing had bought for her, Yue Mingxi, holding an oil-paper umbrella, went out.
Looking at the misty mountains and forests, Yue Mingxi decided to go up the mountain to search first.
She remembered that during the meal, Wu Shanqing occasionally mentioned the situation on the mountain.
The rain intensified without us realizing it, the raindrops pattering against the oil-paper umbrella. The higher we climbed, the thicker the fog became.
Yue Mingxi found a thick tree branch to support herself and avoid falling, and carefully walked along the mountain path.
Gently parting the dense bushes with his hands, Yuemingxi struggled to climb uphill, his hand covered in dew.
The rain grew heavier and heavier, and even with an oil-paper umbrella in hand, Yue Mingxi was still soaked by the slanting raindrops.
His clothes were wet and clung to his body, and his shoes were covered in mud.
As she walked, Yue Mingxi called out loudly, "Wu Shanqing, are you there?"
"Wushan is green, Wushan is green."
A loud roar echoed through the mountains.
Yue Mingxi was startled, her foot slipped, and she fell straight down.
The tree branch and the oil-paper umbrella also slipped from his hands.
With a splash, Yue Mingxi fell into a pitch-black cave.
Its head hit the cold, hard ground with a thud.
Paralyzed on the ground, Yue Mingxi saw stars in her eyes.
Gasping for breath, Yue Mingxi slowly got up from the ground.
Raindrops dripped from her soaked hair. Yue Mingxi wiped the raindrops from her face and braced herself on the ground to stand up.
Suddenly, Yue Mingxi's eyes widened, and her hand froze on the spot.
Thump thump thump, Yue Mingxi's heart was pounding wildly. She gritted her teeth to keep herself from screaming.
Directly in front of her was an enormous black dragon.
The black dragon tilted its head, its eye sockets, devoid of pupils, staring intently at her.
Long dragon horns, beautiful black scales, and an imposing appearance.
The black dragon noticed her and slowly swam towards her.
Yue Mingxi felt an overwhelming sense of oppression, so frightened that she dared not move and almost fainted.
In a panic, Yue Mingxi quickly used the barrier that Wushan Qing had taught her to create.
A small, golden barrier instantly enveloped her.
Yue Mingxi breathed a sigh of relief, but the next second, the black dragon's black claws touched it, and the barrier instantly vanished.
As the black dragon drew ever closer, Yue Mingxi's heart pounded wildly.
Oh no, oh no, will she never see Wu Shanqing again?
The oppressive feeling grew stronger, and Yue Mingxi immediately summoned the Bright Moon Sword, forcing herself to shout, "Don't come any closer! I have a sword, it will hurt you!"
Yue Mingxi thought that the Taotie pendant and scales could still protect her for a while.
Before this, Yue Mingxi did not want to harm the Black Dragon.
If the black dragon meant no harm, it would be bad if she hurt it.
The black dragon seemed not to hear her words, and its head drew closer and closer to Yue Mingxi.
Holding her sword, Yue Mingxi ran recklessly towards the outside of the cave.
But the faster she ran, the faster the black dragon caught up.
But he always kept a distance from her, neither too close nor too far, as if he were teasing her.
Seeing the entrance to the cave getting closer and closer, Yue Mingxi's eyes lit up with joy, and she ran even faster.
Suddenly, Yue Mingxi bumped into a transparent barrier and instinctively fell backward.
Upon seeing this, the black dragon immediately pressed its head gently against Yue Mingxi's back.
Thanks to the black dragon's support, Yue Mingxi did not fall.
After regaining her footing, Yue Mingxi looked at the black dragon in surprise, "Longlong, thank you, you didn't mean any harm after all."
The black dragon roared twice and began to approach her again.
This time, Yue Mingxi's fear lessened considerably, but she remained vigilant. With her sword in one hand, she used the techniques taught to her by Wu Shanqing to break the black dragon's barrier.
But no matter how she tried to crack it, she couldn't open it.
What happened? Did she remember the moves wrong? Yue Mingxi pondered.
As she frowned in thought, the black dragon quietly approached her and gently licked her cheek.
The black dragon's tongue was covered with barbs, and Yue Mingxi trembled slightly.
The black dragon's enormous tail swayed happily, making a loud noise in the cave.
A herbal scent wafted into Yue Mingxi's nostrils. Upon smelling this familiar aroma, Yue Mingxi's mind went blank, and her sword fell to the ground with a thud.
Avoiding the black dragon's licks, and staring at the eyeless dragon, Yue Mingxi's eyes widened in disbelief as she asked, "Wu Shanqing, are you Wu Shanqing?"
The black dragon roared twice in dissatisfaction, then moved closer to her and gently licked her cheek.
Yue Mingxi dodged him and asked impatiently, "Are you Wu Shanqing?"
The black dragon got close to her, and Yue Mingxi quickly covered her face, crying out, "Don't lick me anymore, it hurts!"
This time, the black dragon finally listened and moved away.
Knowing that the Black Dragon meant her no harm, Yue Mingxi was completely relieved.
Lowering her head, Yue Mingxi stared intently at the black dragon.
Looking at the scales on the black dragon's body, Yue Mingxi had a sudden inspiration. She reached out and took a scale from her own waist, comparing it to the scale.
It was exactly the same, Yue Mingxi was certain.
Even if this dragon isn't Wushanqing, it's definitely related to Wushanqing.
After he could no longer lick her, Black Dragon couldn't resist encircling Yue Mingxi and gently nuzzling her with his head.
Yue Mingxi looked at him and fell into deep thought.
Is this Wushanqing? She had seen the original form of Wushanqing, which was clearly a cute little black snake.
Is the enormous black dragon before us, which only exists in legends, really Wushan Qing?
Apart from the fact that they both lack eyeballs, they are completely unrelated.
Looking at the black dragon's horns, Yue Mingxi asked doubtfully, "Dragon, are you really Wu Shanqing?"
Whether Black Dragon understood or not, he just kept nudging her and playing with her.
Her stomach rumbled; after searching for Wushan Qing all morning, Yue Mingxi was hungry.
Upon hearing the sound, the black dragon immediately raised its head and roared twice.
Yue Mingxi smiled and said, "I'm fine, I'm just hungry. I brought some food, do you want some?"
Yue Mingxi took out a large pancake from her storage pouch and tore off a large portion for the Black Dragon.
The black dragon shook its head and swam away.
Watching it swim away, Yue Mingxi immediately wanted to follow.
But the barrier was still blocking the way, and Yue Mingxi couldn't get out at all.
She hurriedly ate half a pancake, put the rest in her storage bag, and carefully recalled the moves Wu Shanqing had taught her before trying them out without getting discouraged.
I tried for a long time, but I still couldn't open the barrier.
Exhausted and covered in sweat, Yue Mingxi found a rock to sit on.
Looking at the exit of the cave, Yue Mingxi sighed softly. How could she possibly go out and find Wu Shanqing like this?
What a liar! He even claimed that this trick could break countless barriers in the world.
Yue Mingxi puffed out her cheeks, determined to settle accounts with Wu Shanqing once she found him.
Rubbing her eyes, Yue Mingxi yawned, her consciousness beginning to blur.
She was exhausted after not sleeping all night and having overdrawn her energy.
Her head drooped little by little, and she placed the stone behind her head, using it as a pillow. Yue Mingxi closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.
I regained consciousness because of the heat.
Opening her eyes, Yue Mingxi looked at the black dragon tightly wrapped around her and said in a hoarse voice, "Dragon, you're back. Let me out quickly. I need to find Wu Shanqing."
The black dragon roared twice, then carefully released her and tilted its head to present the dragon blood fruit to Yue Mingxi.
Looking at the familiar tree roots, Yue Mingxi's eyes widened. "Isn't this the root of the Wushan Green Plant? Longlong, where did you get it from?"
Looking at the black dragon, Yue Mingxi pondered, "Dragon, are you really not Wu Shanqing?"
Black Dragon ignored her and kept pushing the tree root in front of her.
Yue Mingxi understood. "Longlong, do you want me to eat you?"
Black Dragon nodded.
Yue Mingxi shook her head frantically, "I won't eat it, these tree roots are too bitter."
The black dragon roared twice, then couldn't resist biting a tree root and bringing it to Yue Mingxi's mouth.
Yue Mingxi's eyes widened. Was this guy really Wu Shanqing?
Wu Shanqing would have cooked it for her, but this guy wants her to eat it raw?
That's too bitter for her to eat.
To escape the black dragon, Yue Mingxi ran through the cave.
As she ran, Yue Mingxi called out, "Longlong, this is too bitter, you can't eat it raw."
Black Dragon ignored her and kept getting closer to her, putting tree roots into her mouth.
Yue Mingxi was on the verge of a breakdown. Unable to bear it any longer, she pretended to be dead.
She collapsed to the ground, closed her eyes, covered her mouth, and remained motionless.
Black Dragon tilted his head to look at her, then slowly withdrew his body.
He lowered his head and started fiddling with the machine.
Although she was very curious, Yue Mingxi held back and did not look up.
After a while, the black dragon affectionately touched her head, roared twice, and gestured for her to look at the ground.
Yue Mingxi raised her eyes and looked at the tree root remains on the ground, smashed to pieces by the black dragon's claws, mixed with mud and green sap.
Yue Mingxi: "..."
Thank you, but I can't eat anymore.
